Yesterday I would have given a 5 star review, but unfortunately today changed that. Breakfast & service was so good we decided to come back the next day. However the service was not what it was the day prior. We ended up waiting 45 minutes for our food while watching other large parties that arrived after us receive their food. We were not checked on or asked if we needed refills. After waiting 45 mins and watching our waitress buss other tables and avoid eye contact we finally got her attention. She said she would go check on the food and suddenly one second later she came out with it all in an instant so it was obviously all waiting back there (some of the food was even cold). She just started handing plates out to the wrong people and didn't say sorry for the wait or have any good customer service. We also didn't have silverware so had to wait for that and didn't get our drinks refilled at all. When we brought it to the cashiers attention she kindly apologized and explained that they had been backed up in the kitchen. I totally understand that and would have been happy to wait if our waitress took the time to check on us and explain the hold up, but unfortunately that was not the case. We are from out of town and stopped to grab breakfast, it was so good and the cinnamon rolls were so good, and the staff was great

If you want a good diner to eat at that has spacious parking for your camper or boat trailer this is great spot. Nothing fancy just a diner with good food at average prices. We stopped by for lunch after we were tired of getting over charged at the tourist traps. It was nice to have a nice normal meal. read more

Found a big bug in my water. Took an hour and 15 mins to get food after ordering. Food was okay.

We waited 1.5 hours for food- that was not even hot coming out. A person in our party had a BUG in their drink. Our appetizer didn't come out until our food did. We didn't get timely refills. Food was unimpressive on its own but fine. Service was nonexistent. No apologizes for the food delay, or bug in the drink- nothing. I also paid $27 for a Philly, while another member of our party paid $29 for two meals. Really one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Avoid this place at all costs!!!! read more

Great restaurant especially for breakfast. Actually, the best in Hochatown. The biscuits and gravy are outstanding!!!! As an aside, I left my special golf hat and glasses when we left and did not realize it until we got back to Arlington. I contacted them and got my hat and glasses mailed to me. Nothing fancy here, but they serve a decent breakfast. I mean, it's hard to "elevate" bacon and eggs except by cooking them right. And they did. Service was fast, the staff was friendly, and the biscuits were light, hot and delicious. read more

The place was well kept- and the service was good as well! My meal was great, the sandwich was well done and the sweet potato fries were perfect. My family member had the catfish, and the tater-tots were crispy, but the catfish had a very hard batter. read more

Came for an early Sunday lunch and the restaurant, while not crowded when we entered, all sat with no food on the tables. Everyone waited an awful long time for overcooked burgers and fries that appeared to have been previously frozen. Also...I understand inflation but the prices on the menu had been marked up with stickers that were hand written. You could see the original (lower) cost underneath. Not a good luck. Will not be going back which is a shame considering there's not too many places in town. I will say the staff was nice and filled drinks promptly. The restaurant was clean. read more

Service was below average, food was bland (breakfast) and what you would expect at a low end cafeteria. I did like the french toast, but the sausages and gravy were pretty rough on the pallet. Gravy was very watery and lacked any flavor. The sausages patties were bad news, and looked like they had been there for a while. I shouldn't have eaten them. Aside from the bottom of the biscuit being burnt, it tasted pretty good. About 6 hours after eating there, my stomach was turned upside down. I was hit HARD, down for 24 hours. Couldn't eat anything, zero appetite, stomach cramps, and all the usual that goes along with that seemed like a very bad case of food poisoning. Everyone else in my party was fine though. I was the only one who had the sausage patty, so that could have been the culprit. Overall, 2 stars, and I'm being generous. Go somewhere else to eat breakfast. read more

Another disappointing meal in this town. We stopped for breakfast & shouldn't have bothered. The biscuits were frozen biscuits from the grocery store. Gravy was lukewarm & flavorless Ham and cheese omelette was just okay. "Hash browns" were just deep fried cubed potatoes. If I could give a zero, I would. We tried to eat here on Sunday. We arrived at 10:15. We weren't even greeted for several minutes. Then we were told they were no longer serving breakfast (even though the sign on their door said they served breakfast until 10:30) and wouldn't serve lunch until 11. My husband and I are visiting from out of town. We stopped here to grab breakfast but breakfast is not served past 11am. We were fine with it since we were hungry. We ordered the patty melt sandwiches which does not come with sides so you'll have to order sides separately which wasn't a problem for me. The food was DELICIOUS, the onion rings are phenomenal. We enjoyed our meal and we'll back back another time if we visit again. I gave it 4 stars because the staff could be more friendly. read more

This place has always been one that ppl say has mediocre food. Took my family in and until things change will not return. Walked in to a moderately filled restaurant for breakfast on a Saturday. No one greeted us, so we assumed we could seat ourselves. There were quite a few parties with no menus and no drinks. We heard a waitress greet the table next to us "ready to order" no smile, no welcome to Beavers Bend Restaurant...nope. They just got their menus bc I gave it to them. The waitstaff seemed very unhappy that they had to work. Very disappointed. After sitting for 10 min we got up and walked out. The biscuits and gravy here are 10/10 southern style and amazing. Their coffee was also pretty strong and the staff was extremely friendly!

I ordered their shrimp basket but the shrimp didn't taste fresh then to remedy this disappointment my husband ordered their fried apple pie ala mode but it also wasn't delicious.
