Stopped by Mountain Fork Brewery for a meal and had a mixed experience, but overall it ended on a high note. We ordered the boudin egg rolls as an appetizer and each got a burger. Unfortunately, somewhere along the line the appetizer never got put in, so we didn't receive the boudin egg rolls at all. That was a miss, especially since that's something we were looking forward to trying. That said, the burgers absolutely made up for it. Both were cooked right and had great flavor. Solid, well-done burgers that hit the mark. No complaints there. We also grabbed a blueberry cheesecake to go, which turned out to be a great call. It was rich, flavorful, and a good way to finish things off. Service hiccup aside, the food quality, at least on the burgers and dessert, was strong. In total I would give it a 3.4 stars. Food was pretty average for pizza. I wish the crust would have been crisper for a brick oven pizza. The overall look and cleanness of the place was great. Just wish that the food and service were better. The blackberry cider was amazing. Update to previous review: came here a second time because it was the only thing open late. Let me tell you the second time impressed me. The service was great today and the food was amazing. We did the build your own burger and it was so good and flavorful!!! Burger came with fries which is a plus. Ranch is still amazing and blackberry cider is just as good as the night before. Tonight we got the Cesar salad and it was also very good. Definitely stop by! The fries were the best I've ever had homemade with special seasoning. The cucumbers and tomatoes were very fresh and homemade ranch dressing. My second time coming here and first during lunch hour. They weren't too busy, minis a full bar but despite that drinks still came out quick. They have a good amount of menu options and also had specialty cocktails Available, the old fashioned was good. They have a lot of beer options for any palette and the cheese curds and pizza are delicious. Also the wings had a good amount of sauce to wing ratio and were cooked well. Highly recommend for any size group but if you come at night during the holidays beware it may be packed but taking it to go is always a good option read more

I only ordered take out at Mountain Fork Brewery. They offered online ordering, but I had a few specific questions so I decided to pop in. After speaking to the kind girl behind the counter I decided I'd order the Pesto Turkey sandwich, without pesto (I'm dairy free) and fries instead of chips. I decided to walk around the square while I waited and when I returned the same girl ran to check on my order. She came out right away with a hot sandwich. I checked to make sure there was no pesto or cheese and noticed I'd received chips instead of fries. She didn't hesitate and scooped up a side of hot fries for me. The service was great - 5 stars! The food was okay. The bread was soft, thank goodness, but the turkey was not thick and high like image. The lettuce and tomato were measly. The fries were honestly the best part of the meal. We like to check out the local brewery scene when traveling so we made plans to visit here. It was recommended by the owners of the house where we stayed and the menu looked pretty good. When you walk in, you order food at the counter and then go to the bar to order drinks. A little disjointed but OK. Toasted ravioli and spinach dip were good. My beer (Peachy Sneaky Snake) was a lot more hoppy than I expected. I actually didn't finish it. We were pretty sure my husband was given a different beer than he ordered. I find it off-putting that they add a "convenience fee" to your bill which candidly is just a scam. What convenience do we receive in return for this payment? We went yesterday and really enjoyed this place! The ambiance was different from other breweries we've been to, but was still in keeping with the theme. The service was good, it was a little weird that they have multiple kitchens so our dishes came out at different times. But we didn't have to wait long between receiving our food and all the dishes were cooked well. The food was delicious! I had a small cheese pizza, my husband had the Philly cheese steak sandwich, our kids had a grilled cheese and a kids burger with fries. My husband and I also shared a plate of the lemon pepper bone in wings and they were so good. Everything was cooked well and my husband raved about his sandwich. Now, this is not a review of their beers or bar service team, but if you have an allergy & plan to eat food here, BEWARE!!!!! . A simple order (which was verified on the receipt) to not have cheese on a burger resulted in that same burger being brought back THREE different times, with different sections of the cheese SCRAPED off! For any person with an allergy this is completely unacceptable & dangerous practice in food service, especially when the allergy was communicated up front & with each return of the same burger. . We stopped in about 1pm for a beer, a snack and to let the kids stretch their legs. It didn't give me a good feeling walking in to a line that reached the door. One girl behind the counter taking all the food orders. Step 2 is the bar which is located just behind the food ordering. I asked the bartender if the cake was worth getting back in the line. She explained that I could order from her. I should have asked if we could skip the front line and just order at the bar next time. The kids area is a small, sunny lot filled with rocks. The playground has been used pretty hard but was in decent shape. They had fun crawling on the fence and up on the small stage. Stayed in Broken Bow over the weekend with my family, and my brother and I enjoy ourselves a little brewery. Decide to take a trip not too far from our cabin and stopped by Mountain Fork Brewery. Love the atmosphere, the servers were great at the bar, and helped us select our two flights. I will say the prices for the flights was great, other brewery in town, charged a little more, which I won't say a name. But I'm glad we got to enjoy some nice cold before heading back to Texas. My favorite was the Peach Snake. If you're in town stop by and pay them a visit. read more

The kids meals had to have been sitting and waiting to be served for awhile. The Mac and cheese(while we knew it was Kraft) was cold and dry. The "waiter" tossed the food on our table without a word. I would have gave 5 stars.....but Susie doesn't have good etiquette. We ordered several beers two full meals but when we ordered the seasonal barrel aged stout it wasn't thick and honestly didn't seem barrel aged . We drink a lot of barreled stouts. I've been a waitress and bartender, if a customer tells you they are unhappy you take the drink away..Remove it from the tab and replace with another beverage. Visited broken bow and stayed in a beautiful cabin close to all the shops and wonderful array of wineries/breweries, Mountain fork being one of them. A PHENOMENAL list of beers. The experts were fantastic at breaking them down for me and I went with a nice Salty Lady IPA. Hoppy, refreshing, and was great paired with Sunday football. Usually a lager or Pilsner girl if I'm drinking beer however a nice citrusy ipa never hurt anybody I also got 2 free glasses for simply bringing my glass back in. How sweet! They had a huge outdoor area as well as a kid area for all the kiddos roaming around and a food truck or two outside which I didn't get the chance to try but smelled absolutely delicious. Thanks for the great beer! Can't wait to be back in February Ps. They had the cutest hats! Obviously had to snag one! read more

Reviews for this place are all over the map, and I realize that my review is based on one visit on one night, but I'll try to set some baselines that shouldn't vary before I go into the unique details of our experience. First of all, this is a classic quick casual restaurant. Order at the register, pay, get a number, find a seat, wait for them to bring your food. The only way the staff can find you to bring your food is by that number, so display it prominently. The bar and restaurant are different entities; orders and payment are made at different registers and you can't combine them. Just be prepared for that. The space is clean, well maintained, and has a good overall feel, and seating options are plentiful. There's a small stage for live music; there was a guitarist/vocalist there the night of our visit, and he was really good, both in sound and performance quality. Our food order was taken, we got a number, and headed to a booth. I went to the bar and grabbed a couple of beers. Our food came soon, and we dove in. Our starter was the boudin rolls, which were very good. Think egg rolls with crumbled up boudin sausage inside, with a sweet chili sauce for dipping. Very tasty. For our main dish, my wife and I shared the "Squatch Burger", which is a two half pound patty behemoth with bacon, cheese, mushrooms, lettuce, pickles, onions, and mustard. The meat was a little on the well done side, but still juicy. The bun was very fresh and almost artisanal. The fries were a bit of a good news, bad news affair; they were fresh cut, but needed to be cooked and seasoned a bit more. They would benefit from the double fry method, for sure. Overall, we had a really nice meal and experience here. Many restaurants are dealing with staffing issues these days, so there are going to be times where service is quicker than others. But this is definitely a solid place, not some hole in the wall that looks like it's from the 70s or something. Give them a try! read more

I love going here for the pizza and the chips and queso. It's a guilty pleasure and the best; especially with the awesome Hochawizen beer that is brewed there. Last time I visited we sat at the bar and that is ideal unless you have younger than 21 folks with you because you can order your food and drinks while you sit at the bar and then they bring the food to you. Otherwise, you order at the counter and go sit down and they bring the food to you. We like to order the Kitchen Sink pizza with no meat and we add spinach and tomatoes. It is really good. We stopped for lunch here. The place wasn't too crowded. We ordered food. They brought my wife's food but not the hamburger I ordered. When asked about it the second time they told me oh it takes longer than her sandwich. They said 15 minutes longer. My wife finished her food then mine came. So 45 minutes later I received a burnt cheeseburger that had no flavor and was lukewarm warm. Avoid this place. read more
