In this season of variable supply and demand due to covid and families traveling to see each other for Christmas, we stopped here with a family of 5 and my 10yr old daughter who wasn't feeling well and was tired from a day of traveling had her heart set on cheese pizza ‍. Although they had sold out, our waitress Summer did an excellent job connecting with her and bringing creative options such as an open face cheese quesadilla with marinara sauce...like, who ever would have thought of that??? Granted, we ended up going with cheese sticks and marinara and she was able to ring that up with what would come with the pizza as a side for 10yr old girls...strawberries and yogurt of course ... For others that helped, service was fast, food came out quickly, and was good quality. ...but if I had a business that needed customer service reps...I'd be recruiting Summer in a heartbeat. read more

Traveling west on I 30, stayed at the holiday inn and noticed there was an Applebee's on the adjacent parking lot. We decided to go to Applebee's for dinner until we walked in the front door and our lungs were flooded with cigarette smoke because this yahoo restaurant is not a restaurant but a smoke shop. For some reason whoever owns this or management Thinks that those people smoking in the middle of the restaurant are not affecting anybody to feet away. When approximately one and four people smoke you would think Apple bees will of made the decision to tell people to go outside. When we walked in the first door we smelled smoke but when we walked in the second within 5 feet of the front door someone let out a gasp of cigarette smoke it looked as if they were putting out small forest fire. For god sake, you're not allowed to smoke bad clothes outside of the restaurant to the front door, this person was in bed about 5-6 feet from the door when we walked into the restaurant With restaurants having difficulty today especially things like Chili's, Applebee's etc. well enough sad, unless you want to take up smoking without ever lighting up yourself don't go to this restaurant and that's a fact Jack, please, please, stop making us who don't smoke, smoke By the way, management, of this Applebee's, do not send back any stupid ass response, you made a choice to allow it to continue to be a smoking restaurant and you're crying, whining, and so apologizing attitude does not roll here I have included a picture of what I think is one of their newest appetizers, enjoy read more

Don't do it! Not a huge fan of Applebees, my expectations are very low. Probably the worst dinning experiences in my life. Food was ice cold. Service was horrible. Waiting either on my beer or my check....beer was ordered about 20 minutes ago. I get restaurants are having staffing issues, however there are around at least eight employees I can see. Went tonight for dinner again at this Applebee's after being here @3 weeks ago and received poor service. I thought we would give them another try but no improvement. When we entered, no one at host stand to seat us. After being seated, we never received acknowledgement and finally asked for someone to serve us after 10 minutes. Placed our order which consisted of 4 appetizers and chicken tender salad. When food came out, one of the appetizers and salad was missing. Finally got the remaining items and then no salad dressing came with salad. The manager did come over and apologized and offered a free dessert. While on the road, we stopped by for lunch. We like Applebee's for their consistent menu and quality, no surprises! This store is having trouble hiring employees but you'd never know it. The managers are doing a great job running the establishment and keeping everything spotless and top quality, even the restrooms! We have been in other Applebee's where socializing and dirty bathrooms were the norm, NOT HERE!!!! Aaron, our server, went out of his way to make our visit top-notch. I have lived in Mount Pleasant for a little over a year and tonight we decided to get a to go order, I was disappointed. I spent $$$ to feed my family of 7...when I went to pick up my order, it was quickly brought to my car, however, when I went to sign the credit card receipt and did not leave a tip because I didn't feel like simply putting food in a box warranted a tip, (its not like you had to actually wait on us, because then, I would have tipped) the car side waitress Tiffany, had a sour attitude right away and threw her hands up as she walked in the door. Once we got home, the portion size for the to go orders was just sad. An $11 southwestern chicken salad the size of a side salad???? Cmon now...the breadsticks tastes rancid and old...the fries in the kidsmeal were soggy...the sad excuse for chicken tenders on the four cheese penne with the honey pepper chicken strips tasted like they were fried in rancid oil. I must say it was the worst place I've been to eat at EVER. I haven't been to Applebee's since I worked there 13 years ago. And it has completely gone downhill. When my family and I got there we were the second table in the middle of the afternoon. Saw literally 1 waiter and 1 bartender. No other employees. Had to ask for straws for the drinks, had to ask for refills ( which only one of us received and all three of us were drinking the same thing), had to ask for napkins, and silverware. And when the silverware was brought with the meal (didn't get it or the napkins with the appetizers) we were apologized to by the waiter for our one and only knife and was told that it was all they had because the rest were dirty and we didn't need any more anyway. EXCUSE ME!!! I can absolutely assure you that neither I nor any of my family or friends will EVER be back there again. And I must add that these complaints were only a small tip of the giant iceberg of our bad experience.The only reason I gave it one star was because there wasn't an option for zero. read more

I'm not one to leave a bad review, but dining here was a complete waste of time and money. I ordered food for takeout and had to wait 2 hours for it to be ready for pickup, despite an original estimate of 25 minutes. After I arrived to pick up my order, I had to ask 3 different people for my food (which I even pointed at because it was already sitting in a bag in the back when I arrived) but it took almost 20 minutes for any of them to actually go look in the bag to confirm that it was my order and give me the food. The bartender was NOT WEARING A MASK and some other staff members had masks sagging below their noses. Totally unacceptable during a pandemic. When I got the food out to eat, everything was cold. Mind you, it's only a 1 minute walk from the restaurant to where I was staying, so the food should have been fresh. I imagine that they finished making the food much earlier (during the 2 hours I was waiting for a notification) and they just forgot to indicate that it was ready in a timely manner, so it was already cold when I arrived. Not all of the containers were microwave safe so we just had to eat it cold. The order itself was incorrect. My partner also found the sauce on his pasta to have a gross aftertaste. read more

Since this establishment allows smoking, the only place to sit without smelling the smoke is the separate room which always seems to be closed.
