The pizza was VERY good, and the summertime berry salad was even better (now goes by Strawberry Pecan Salad). Two days later, my friends and I were hungry and couldn't stop thinking about this pizza and salad. So we ordered out again mid day. This time we got a full salad, added chicken, and asked for extra toppings and dressing. Definitely ask for extra, especially if you're sharing, because the normal amount isn't quite enough. I'm a culinary dietitian and meant to ask for their ranch recipe, but totally forgot. Ughhh!! So delicious though! There was a small mix-up with the second order and we had to drive back, but the customer service was great and it was no issue at all to fix. Highly recommend!!!

Unfortunately, somewhere along the line the appetizer never got put in, so we didn't receive the boudin egg rolls at all. That was a miss, especially since that's something we were looking forward to trying. That said, the burgers absolutely made up for it. Both were cooked right and had great flavor. Solid, well-done burgers that hit the mark. No complaints there. We also grabbed a blueberry cheesecake to go, which turned out to be a great call. It was rich, flavorful, and a good way to finish things off. Service hiccup aside, the food quality, at least on the burgers and dessert, was strong. Worth stopping in, just keep an eye on your order.

They even have a "micro brewers menu" aka kids menu, my son chose the mini smashburgers with chips. He loved it so much, there was nothing left on his plate at the end. They have a bunch of board games available to use while dining so my son and I grabbed a Jurassic Park matching game, this was a super fun activity to do together while munching away. The layout of the location is a slight "L" shape, so seating can be a bit limited during busy times. It's a seat-yourself setup, and they provide QR codes at the tables for you to place your order and pay when you're ready. Now, onto the food and service. Unfortunately, the wait for both food and drinks were longer than expected, even as the rush began to die down. Our pretzel appetizer didn't arrive until near the end of our meal, and sadly, it was overcooked. Drinks The beer was great and a definite highlight of the experience. Here's what we ordered: Appetizers Giant Pub Pretzel ($13.99): A 12.05 oz pretzel served with signature beer cheese and beer mustard. Unfortunately, this dish was a disappointment. Despite being called "Giant," the pretzel was thin, and was a bit overcooked. While we enjoyed the beer cheese, the beer mustard could have stayed in the kitchen. Loaded Broccoli ($8.99): Steamed broccoli seasoned with Cajun spices, topped with melted cheese and your choice of chicken, beef, or pulled pork. I chose chicken, which was delicious and well-seasoned. However, the cheese was a huge letdown, it had an odd, roux-like texture and flavor that nearly made the dish inedible. Entrée Voo-Dill Pickle Pizza ($12.99): Made with roasted garlic pesto, fresh mozzarella, thick-cut pickles, and a special Voo-Dill seasoning. While the concept was intriguing, the execution fell short. The pizza crust was undercooked, and the pickles seemed like they were added at the very end instead of being baked with the pizza. The garlic pesto was the highlight of this dish. Desserts -King Cake Slice ($3.XX): Clearly store-bought and not made in-house. It also took a while to reach our table, which was odd considering it's pre-packaged. The kitchen area even had the King Cake box visible. Beignets ($7.99): Over-fried and served with icing that was overly lemony, which overpowered the dish. Side Order Jalapeño Slaw ($2.99): The star of the meal! It had the perfect balance of mayo and vinegar, with a fresh kick from the jalapeños and Cajun spices. I wish I had ordered more! I think this place has a lot of potential. The concept is fantastic, but the kitchen needs improvement. I do plan to return and give it another try because the space and the idea are great. Hopefully, next time the food lives up to the vision!

Oh we love some Bankhead brewpub!…read more Our family recently tried Bankhead a couple of times. Each time it was excellent! I so wish I remember the first servers name we had. It was upstairs a couple months ago. He was great! I came a bit late the second time so didn't interact with that server as much but he was good as well! I appreciate the consistency in good service so far. The design of the restaurant is a bit odd but comfortable. The food & beer is amazing! These pictures don't do it justice. Some of the items are odd but they are GOOOD! Everyone loved everything so much they were passing around their plates because they didn't want people to miss giving it a try.
