It took a while for the staff to decide who our wait person was. Later I found a waitress I have known for years and now I know how to prevent that from occurring again. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and mushroom appetizer. The salad was very good as it usually is and I love the house dressing. The mushrooms were not what we expected but were delicious and I am sure we will order this appetizer again. When the Chicken Parmigiana arrived at the table it was huge and bubbling with cheese. One bite and I knew it was the best I had ever been served. I first had this dish at the Little Mushroom in Dallas located in the buyers market when I was 18. At that time I had no idea what I was ordering could possibly taste like but soon found out I was in for a real treat. Casa Del Mare restaurant has tables and booths. It was clean, but one booth was full of work items and back packs. The service was fast, but not very friendly. We had chicken Napoli, chicken parmesan, and Philly cheesesteak, and a kids chicken Alfredo. The favorite was a Philly cheesesteak and chicken Napoli. They do not serve wine or beer, but you can bring your own. We will probably try again, but pizza next time. read more

If the Marsala is no good I already know the rest of it Won't be. Sure enough the chicken Marsala was the most salty dish I ever ate. The pasta was drowning in the Marsala sauce which was overly salted. To the point of being inedible. This is really sad and I'm a girl who likes her food salty! But this dish was straight up inedible. I took a few bites and had to toss it. Please tell chef no need to salt the dish when the sauce is that salty. Must be a new cook? I was in town for business staying at the hotel that was two doors down so it was an easy walk. I got there about an hour before close on a Thursday and I was sat immediately. It's a pretty big menu so it took me a while to decide. The server recommended the Roma special. It's grilled salmon over a bed of rice and sautéed veggies. The entree came with a house salad and rolls that were like garlic knots minus the garlic. I got the balsamic dressing with the salad. It's basically balsamic vinegar with Parmesan cheese. It's different than a normal balsamic vinaigrette but I really liked it. The entree was basically salmon teriyaki. The rice was a fried brown rice and the veggies were sautéed. It was a decent piece of salmon, probably 9oz. It was topped with what tasted like a teriyaki drizzle. It was too much food for me to finish in one sitting. I took it back to the hotel and ate it for lunch the next day. I'm not in Paris often but I'd definitely come back next time I'm in town. read more

A couple things happened on this visit. The first was out of the control of the staff: an out of control child throwing biscuits and utensils about ten feet away from me. The second thing, however, was controllable: the quality of the steak was not good. I ended up with a pile of unchewable gristle. The cook was perfect and the flavor was fantastic, but I had to keep pulling pieces out of my mouth. Between the unruly kid and the bad cut of steak, I decided to cut my experience short and take about 2/3's of my ribeye home for my dog. I still paid full price and left a 20% tip for my server. I just don't think I'll be back. $45 with a tip for my meal should end up as a great experience and tale to tell. IMO. read more

I went here for the first time the fiancé suggested and after seeing the menu I was yup we going. Server was great not in top of me gave me space to eat and relax with better half way to go there. The bread was amazing lol but the entree that red sauce or gravy which they refer to it was good enough I could bath in it had the pasta sampler and let me tell ya didn't disappoint at all. In town for a family function and decided to stop in for dinner after it was recommended. Pulling in the parking lot is rather large and mostly in the back. It was late and dark back that... they were pretty busy but we were able to find a spot up front after circling a few times. Walked in and there was a crowd surrounding the front door, although they weren't waiting to be seated they were waiting to pay. After getting through the masses and finally making it to the hostess booth we were greeted with a smile from the young hostess and shown to the table right next to her. I usually prefer to not sit by the door but our options were limited so it wasn't a huge deal. A few minutes after being sat our waitress came over and took our drink orders (2 sweet teas) she was prompt with getting them back to us and asked if we would like to order. We asked for a few more minutes. After about 15 minutes she came back, husbands drink was empty and it stayed that way for another haft hour we ordered the stuffed mushrooms, pasta primavera with chicken and chicken Marsala. Both dishes came with a side salad. We both got the house dressing. Our salads came out first and were delicious, they were perfect proportions and just enough dressing to not be over powered. Then the mushrooms came out... they were disappointing. ...not sure what they were stuffed with and they were all different sizes, some so small they shouldn't have been included. They were served in a dish way to large and swimming in a vodka sauce. Not worth the 6.99 (see the picture) at all. Our main dishes came out and were good, but again way too much sauce and the chicken tasted either boiled or was frozen and not fresh. The vegetables were ok and so was the pasta. I would return to this restaurant as it's a decent option but now I know what to expect. I guess maybe I just had my expectations set higher after our friends recommendation. Oh I should add... we had to wait for our silverware...after our salads came for 8 minutes. my salad plate was broken and I found it odd they advertise on their glasses. Also they could benefit from dusting... Overall, okay food and I've had better service but it's a 3 for sure. read more

Tonight I had dinner at this restaurant while visiting Paris on a business trip. I picked this place based on the fact that it had recently opened and only had one review, Upon entering I noticed how well decorated the interior is. It really is a nice restaurant. Of course it had the requisite Sinatra music playing in the background with a little Dean added to the mix. I went to wash my hands and noticed that the male restroom was clean. Upon being seated I decided to order the seafood pasta (can't remember the name ) but it was pasta with baby clams, shrimp, scallops and mussels in a white wine sauce for $15.99 and it came with a salad. I noticed that almost all of the other pasta dishes were less expensive than what I ordered. Only their steaks were more. I also ordered a side of olive oil with garlic dipping sauce for the complimentary bread that was brought to my table. It only cost $1.99. First the salad arrived and it was pretty standard with romaine lettuce and one slice of tomato. Would have like at least one more. It was good however and I would rate it a 3. Then the entree arrived. It had a lot of seafood in it and looked good. The wine sauce was flavorful and it was good and filling. I gave it a 4. The bread was good but I wasn't impressed with the dipping sauce. It wasn't bad it just didn't stand out and I would not order it again. But then it only cost $1.99. My table service was good. I was checked on several times. I am giving the overall experience a 4. Unfortunately this is based on just one meal however I like this restaurant and if I lived here I would eat here. It has a nice ambience to it and the food is good. I don't know how it compares to other dining options in town but for a town of this size I would think this is one of your better dining options. I've definitely fallen off the reviewing train but this place compelled me to get back on Yelp and write a review! My best friend and I decided stop into town from Dallas for none other than Paris's quirky little Eiffel Tower with the Texan cowboy hat on top. We then decided to explore the town a bit more. Upon checking Yelp, we saw that there was 1 Chinese restaurant, lots of Mexican restaurants, only 2 Italian restaurants...and no French restaurants (our 1st pick). We decided to take the locals' recommendation and dine at Casa Del Mare. We do not regret it. Without getting into too much detail, we were greeted by an extremely well mannered young gentleman who gave us spectacular service all night. I ordered the Fried Mozzarella and a Carbonara Fettuccine entree that was to DIE FOR. Hailing from California, my expectations of restaurants and "authenticity" in small towns were low. But to hell with authenticity, because although the Carbonara might not be the same style as the countless ones I've tasted in California, I dream about it to this day. I've never tasted creamier pasta in my life. The flavors were just right. I forget what my best friend ordered, but his dish was absolutely phenomenal too (pictures provided). I admit it's not the best presentation - but hey, this was an in your face reminder to not judge a book by it's cover. Our waiter was super attentive and hospitable, he checked in on us just the right amount, filled our waters, asked if we were happy with our food, cleared the table as we finished our appetizer salads and cheese sticks, made us laugh with a joke and the most surprising part was at the end of the meal, hearing about how I had a big week ahead of me, came out with a slice of their TO DIE FOR caramel chocolate swirl cheesecake - on the house. I've lived in Dallas for over a year now and have grown well accustomed to Southern Hospitality, but you truly really find the epitome of it in small towns and from humble folks like these. Thank you, Casa del Mare for such a magical ending to a fun Paris day trip. You are forever burned into our brains and we will never forget you. I might even make the 2.5 hour trip back one day to dine at your establishment - heck, I'd say it's well worth it. XO read more

Hell, no one even came over to get drink orders let alone to introduce themselves as our waitress/waiter. A young man brought some cold ass pizza dough passed off as rolls. 10-21-23 Ordered pizza, which is usually very good. However, tonight was not good because it had no pizza sauce on it at all. Not even a little bit. I told the waitress and she asked if we wanted a new one. I did not want to wait so I told her no but asked for some pizza sauce which should have already been on it. She brought some to our table but was ice cold. I was unable to locate our waitress so I told another one that was in our area. She located our waitress and told her, she then came to the table and apologized, said she didn't know it was cold. I asked her couldn't she tell that the bowl was ice cold but she said she didn't feel it. That would have been impossible unless she had no feeling whatsoever in her hands. A few minutes later she brought a hot bowl of marinara to the table. When I received our ticket it had a charge of $4.99 for "open food" on it. I asked our waitress what it was for and she said the marinara sauce. I asked to speak to the manager and she said they weren't there. As I was trying to ask her who I co I ld talk to about this she just walked away and started waiting on another table. I couldn't believe her rudeness. I then told the cashier I was not going to pay for something that was supposed to have been on the pizza to begin with. My girlfriend and I have visited this restaurant two times now and both times were, in short, unbelievable. The food itself is phenomenal, exceptional service, byob (which is a plus in my book), fair prices, and large enough portions to have an entire meal the next day. The red sauce and white sauce are both equally excellent. Every meal comes with complementary garlic knots on par with Texas Roadhouse buns, as well as a salad with the entrees. Meals tried: Stuffed mushrooms - 10/10 Caesar salad - 7/10 House salad - 9/10 Chicken parm - 10/10 Shrimp and scallop Alfredo -10/10 Billitos (something like that) - 10/10 Honestly if we could give a 6/5 stars on the review we would. Went for Mother's day dinner at Casa Del Mare Italian Restaurant on the loop and got sat down with drinks and served food (all in about 5 minutes) and then our waitress never came back. No refills, was gonna ask for rolls because food didn't taste great, but she didn't come back. 6+ waitresses sat at a table giggling and laughing and talking and never would look our way and my husband was without drink and we couldn't ask for rolls to replace the cold food to eat. If not for my husband saying "No, dont say anything" Id have embarrased them all.The one person with short hair sitting at the giggling booth getting her shoulders rubbed by another staff (not helping), looked my way many times but just looked away again and again. She kept the staff entertained. Maybe you should pay her for entertainment. They never even brought us our bill. We had to go to front and tell them what we ordered . That was actually their 2nd chance after bad food last time. I will not go back again. The waitresses had apparently received enough wages and tips that they could care less how the service was at this point. I want to shop and eat local but bad staff, management and ownership is what we have to deal with. This place is so delicious but something happened today that sucked. Water dripped from the vent into my friends water and the manager was just saying well it's just the air conditioner vent. Then he said he already knew about it. Then when she tried to use her gift certificate he was annoyed and didn't want to use it and asked if I wanted a dessert. Very rude. This place is very good! We went on a busy Friday night and it was packed. The service was still great, they were very attentive and the waitress was sure to keep us updated. The fact is, if you want good food, you are going to have to wait sometimes. When it is prepared dish by dish it takes time for all those dishes to come out. The food, when it came, was fresh, hot, delicious and of huge proportion. If you do have to wait for your food, just be patient.. it's worth it when it arrives.
