We have tried this place two times and we just won't be back. The first time we ever went, the food…read morewas just OK and one of the employees was vaping in the kitchen. I was really disappointed to see that, but we decided to give it a go a second time a couple of months later. We hoped, since Jaxx is a bit of a staple in Paris, that's the first time we went there was just an off night. However, our second experience was just as bad. We asked for fresh crisp fries, and they were floppy and not good. We debated on voicing our concerns or not when the waitress asked if everything was OK. We hesitated for a minute, and then told her that things were fine. I think that she realized things were less than desirable, but instead of asking further questions, she avoided our table for the rest of the time and gave us looks. We were very kind and cordial, we just weren't impressed with the price or the quality of food. We won't be back.

It took a while for the staff to decide who our wait person was. Later I found a waitress I have…read moreknown for years and now I know how to prevent that from occurring again. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and mushroom appetizer. The salad was very good as it usually is and I love the house dressing. The mushrooms were not what we expected but were delicious and I am sure we will order this appetizer again. When the Chicken Parmigiana arrived at the table it was huge and bubbling with cheese. One bite and I knew it was the best I had ever been served. I first had this dish at the Little Mushroom in Dallas located in the buyers market when I was 18. At that time I had no idea what I was ordering could possibly taste like but soon found out I was in for a real treat. Many years and restaurants later after this dish had become a rare but favorite treat for me I was served the most delicious ever last night.

My experience has been disappointing. The first time we visited, it took a very long time to…read morereceive our food. The second visit was much the same--there was another long wait, our order was incorrect, and the issue was never resolved. What I find confusing is that, rather than focusing on making their existing restaurant the best it can be, they seem to be expanding into other ventures. Opening a food trailer just a few miles from the brick-and-mortar location and placing it next to an already established, successful restaurant creates the appearance that their attention is divided. In my opinion, the priority should be delivering excellent food, service, and consistency at one location before taking on additional projects. A strong reputation is built by getting the basics right every time. Focusing on quality and customer experience would likely do more for long-term success than expanding too quickly or creating the perception of competition-driven decisions
