My friend and I go there about once a month when we go to Paris. Breakfast is very good. Service is usually very good. It says 24 hour dinner but it's not always open. We first visited McKees when we moved to the area 8 years ago..it was dirty and the food terrible then. We decided to give them another try in hopes they improved in 8 years..they didn't. Everything was exactly the same..down to the gum ground into the filthy tile floor..we sat by a window, the window and window sill had so much dirt on them I was worried some would spill onto my plate. We all ordered breakfast, the eggs were fine..the hash browns were so overcooked im convinced they were leftovers from other people's plates reheated..1 person in our party ordered sausage, got overcooked bacon instead..the waitress brought out the missing sausage immediately..how did it get cooked so fast? Maybe to speed up service, they have stuff always cooked and just constantly reheat when ordered?? That would expIain alot.. I don't think they have a toaster because our toast seemed to be bread cooked on the grill..the result being limp pieces of bread that no one bothered to butter. Waitresses came and brought our milk No food , we told her we wanted w meal , ok , took away . Then brought out burned pancakes . Said it was to make sure cooked inside , no don't want We eat food w no milk . No pancakes . Ate 2 eggs 1 sausage no drinks Friend ate 1 egg , asked for 2 , got 1 sausage . Ate done and here comes milk after done went to pay and told the cashier don't charge for what's on bill because we did not get . She said she didn't know Because waitress never told her . And after all that We paid for what we did get $7.52 I could have stayed home and ate , but I was hungry and wanted to go out to eat . What kind of service are you running . Burnt pancakes that were stuck on grill. No milk to wash food down with . Shame on you !! And you still charged me . I had to go to Denny's to eat . We went about 10:30am on a Saturday morning. Very busy- service was good. We had breakfast and it was ok. Nothing was great, but it was good and served hot Saw lots of lunch food going out so we'll probably give it another try for lunch/dinner. read more

An hour and a half wait. Food was not hot. There were just two of us and they sat us at a table for seven or eight people while parties of 4-5 waited. No need to bother giving the waitress instructions on how you want your food cooked. The short of it is you will get it the way they turn it out and don't dare complain as the short guy will get mad and ban you from the business. I ordered crisp bacon, just past the limp stage. I got bacon that shattered in pieces when a piece broke off and fell to the floor by accident. My hash browns were overcooked, mostly rockhard. The over-medium eggs were blistered on one side and barely cooked on the other. I simply asked the waitress to take it and remove it from my ticket. Brian (co-owner) got mad and went off in the packed open dining room telling his brother?/partner to ban me and my son. Never let us in the place again. He was tired of dealing with us. I have only had a problem with the waitresses once. For the most part they are great ladies and very friendly. The tall co-owner is professional and cordial. My standard breakfast order: 2 over medium, Bacon crisp but not burnt, tell them just past the limp stage, toast but not burnt (no matter how much you scrape the burn smell/taste is still there). Yes I am picky about my food, but I am paying you to cook it the way I want it, not the way you want it. I will not be back obviously as after twenty years of patronage, I am banned for wanting my breakfast the way I ordered it. read more

My husband and I went to this restaurant yesterday for breakfast and it was our first time to go. I don't know if I'll ever go back again because I found it a little hard to be around because of the cleanliness perspective, but I really thought some of their food was really good. Actually, my husband and I both loved their biscuits and gravy and I would give that a five, well a five on the biscuits and maybe a 4 1/2 on the gravy. My husband said his eggs were cooked we're perfectly cooked and we both liked their hashbrowns also. I thought my ham was really pretty good and I would give it about a 3 1/2, pushing a four at the most, but overall the meal was really good. Our waitress was very attentive and you could see she was busy, but she persevered and did her best to serve us. On the cleanliness, from my perspective, was a little hard to live with, in other words I couldn't really enjoy my meal because that part bothered me. I really like good diners, but when we first walked up, we approached their glass doors and they looked filthy to me. When we got our menus, they were so dirty, it really kind of grossed me out. There was Food underneath tables and at one point I saw someone sweeping vigorously trying to get it up, but it made me wonder how clean the kitchen etc. was. Tested my daughter on a long drive told her to find something good in Paris that won't break the bank. She came up with this place. We pulled into the restaurant. Went inside. Got a complimentary temperature scan and we then were seated. My wife ordered the chicken friend steak. I got the sirloin. One daughter the country breakfast the other the adult chicken strips. All the food came out and it all actually looked awesome. My steak was tender and my wife commented that the CFS was really good. (She is so picky on CFS(. My daughter that eats like a bird finished her adult meal and the country breakfast disappeared at a rapid speed. All in all. This place is the place to get great food and not break the bank. Our meal was low $30s and we couldn't have been happier. Well if they had mashed taters for the CFS, but still. A truly great find and I cannot wait to go back and heck out the rib eye read more

Went in tonight to see if they were as good as they used to be and this is what happened. First no refills on the teas because the waitress never came back to our table to check on anything. Next I never got the choc. pie I ordered so I asked for it to be taken off at the time we paid out. The young lady up front was nice enough to take the two teas we were charged for off the tab because of the no refills. That was nice but as soon as we got out to the truck as we were looking back into the restaurant the young lady that paid us out was telling the waitress what happened and both of them were laughing and looking out our direction. This review is only based on our experience and not the food. We came here today and they did temperature checks at the door. That's where the COVID safety stopped. NO ONE in the place wore a mask at any time. Not the cooks, the wait staff or the patrons. While we aren't overly cautious, obviously we're out eating, we do expect at least the cook staff to wear masks. When we kindly talked to the waitress, she said it gets hot in there so they wear them. We told her we weren't comfortable and we proceeded to leave. As we are walking out, the waitress went to the back and you hear "Oh god" and out comes a gray haired cook. We thought he might be coming to just apologize but no, he goes to a table next to where we were walking and leans over their table and says "is your food good? Isn't that good food?" As loud as he can. We'd never know if the food was good because we'll never be back. I have been eating here for over four years and it is a great greasy. They are smoke free and the food is good. I only come for the breakfast so that is as far as my review extends.
