For entrees, the filet was tender and cooked to absolute perfection, and the sea bass was buttery, melt-in-your-mouth, and truly top quality. My twin sister and I had an hour to kill before heading to Grayson College for a performance my niece was a part of, "Taming the Shrew". We walked out back to the terrace and ordered a glass of wine each. Lauren was a fantastic bartender and very friendly. I won't lie, there are no pictures in this review, not because it was bad but quite the opposite. This venue not only delivered on quality of service but hit all the markers. Cleanliness, attentiveness and hospitality hit all the marks. Now let me get to the food .. we order the lamb lollipops and smoked steak tips from appetizers, the seasoning was spot on, but the cook on both was phenomenal, melt like butter in your mouth proteins, seasoning that makes me wonder and want more. We also ordered the dual lobster tails, their aoli that came with it was pungent with lemon notes that only enhanced the umami flavor in the lobster tails. While they were a few seconds over cooked on the grill, the tenderness, flavor and buttery flavor made up for it. In the three years that I have been in this area this is by far the diamond in the rough. Got to meat the chefs first hand and was so impressed with how talented these chefs could be being so young. I will be returning for all the reasons I've mentioned, but I recommend you visit for the same. read more

Food was excellent! We started with the Ahi Tuna appetizer and it was better than what we had on vacation in Hawaii. Hubby had the NY strip with Broccolini and Pimiento Grits and he would have licked the plate clean. I had the 6oz filet and it was so tender and flavorful, along with Asparagus and Mac n cheese. Then we topped it off with Bread pudding and that again made us both want to lick the plate clean. Our waiter was so attentive and the rest of the staff insured our glasses were always full and empty plates cleared immediately. We live over 2 hrs away and would come back. Delicious! read more

Simply, Amazing! We have heard about the place for years but never had the chance to go. First impression once you go inside is this is a neat little mom and pop restaurant. That's where the simple thoughts end! There were only a few tables so it really felt like you had the place to yourself. They had a great wine and drink list to get you started. The only problem with the menu is picking which dish you wanted to try! We got fried green tomato's first just because my wife and I love them. They surely didn't disappoint! We both ordered salads and let me say...if you like salad...order one! The salad was ok but the bread that came with it was really good! I ordered the wagu ribeye and my wife got the filet. Every single bite was fantastic! Not the best steak I ever had but it's in the top 3! All the sides were awesome also! We had not planned on dessert but something was calling me. The bread pudding was not conventional but probably the best I have had in many years. All in all, we will make sure this is on our rotation of date night stops for many years to come! read more

What a gem hidden away near Sherman! We live in Melissa and this was such a great find for a date night. Especially not having to drive to Dallas or Plano. My friend gifted me a gift card here for my birthday and well I took the opportunity to bring my husband here for his birthday. Pulling up to this place, the outside does not match the food! Hahaha! I wasn't expecting to be so impressed with the food. Inside it's super retro in a sense and very intimate. Service was really great; our waitress was wonderful giving great recommendations. We ordered all six of the appetizers and they were all really amazing. The tuna poke and the steak crostinis were my absolute favorite. The tuna had great flavor and the combination from the crunch of the wonton cup and the avocado just married together so nicely. The steak crostinis were again a great combo of texture and taste. Very tasty. The seafood combination was my next favorite. I normally do not like crab cakes (and yes I'm from Louisiana) but these were the best I've ever had. The scallop and shrimp were cooked to perfection and this was altogether a great dish. The fried green tomatoes and the duck meat balls were tied for being my least favorite from the appetizers; but that's not saying they weren't good. The fried tomatoes were cooked perfectly and the sauce given was tasty.... I'm just not normally a fried food eater in general. The duck meatballs had great flavor and were delicious I'm just not a meatball lover. Our meals came with salads which were larger than the normal dinner salad; I got the raspberry vinaigrette that was really nice. I ordered a 8oz beef tenderloin filet medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. It was sooooo tender. From my husbands opinion mine was much better than the wagyu ribeye. Mine was thicker. The ribeye was still delicious though. I got the miso carrots and the baked potato. It was all so amazing. For dessert we got the cheesecake, bread pudding and the key lime pie. All 5/5 in taste! Again I was really impressed by this place and will definitely add it onto our date night rotation. read more

The last couple of times the food has really not been up to par. The prices have always been high $52 for a steak if I remember correctly. I like my steaks rare as that's the way I've always eaten them. Mother taught me to eat meat rare so that if I was invited for dinner at someones house I could eat my steaks even if well done. I understand her thoughts behind the theory. However, when I pay $52 for a steak it needs to be perfectly cooked. Needless to say I sent it back. When I got it back everyone else had just about finished dinner. It was cooked to the right temperature this time, but seemed to have been cooked at a low temperature. There was no indication that it was actually cooked on a grill. Maybe they used a skillet or flat top. Service was also below par for a fine dining establishment. I hate it when a server delivers the food and asks everybody what they ordered. The ticket should indicate who ordered what at the time it is taken. I call that auctioning off the food. Who ordered the steak, who ordered the fish etc. The place is cute though, I give them that. Fine dining this place is not. Just because you charge fine dining prices doesn't make you a fine dining establishment. read more

I was so excited to try this place out last night with a friend. I can be picky, but the staff, food and drinks exceeded my expectations. We were seated in a room with a wedding party and we could barely hear each other over the noise. We did decide to roll with it because it's a Saturday night so of course it's busy! As the wedding party got louder and the drinks started flowing, the people from that party started crowding our table..like so VERY close! A server saw our distress and asked us if we wanted to move! What amazing service! The crab cakes were sensational. My friend and I both enjoyed our seafood and the key lime pie was the best I have ever had. I do wish they had a larger bar or seating area while you're waiting for your table, but other than that, I cannot imagine a better dining experience. I will definitely be back. read more

Green beans needed salt. House salad was simple but delicious. Bread stick was seasoned with herbs but could've used salt as well. She asked if I decided on dessert. I started with "If I died tomorrow..." and almost immediately, she responded "BREAD PUDDING." She was right. It was amazing (smelled even better when it baking when I first arrived)!
