I've sat here thinking about what I should rate this place. Here are my thoughts…read more If your child is older and in good shape, they will most likely have a good time. There are a TON of different things to climb or swing on. But you have to be pretty strong and tall to be able to use the equipment. There is one very small trampoline that really can only be used as a springboard to jump off of, so don't confuse this with a trampoline park. This is NOT like an Airborne or an Urban Air. This is strictly a ninja warrior type of place. There are 2 things I really disliked about this gym. First, you have to pay for kids ages 4 and up. My 4 year old twins could not reach anything to be able to enjoy the equipment. My 6 year old had a lot of trouble also. They were all ready to go after 30 minutes. My other problem is safety. This is not a place where you can relax and watch your kids from your seat. I had to walk through the gym to make sure all of the mats were placed correctly on the floor (many were not). There is also a lot of heavy equipment that could fall on younger children if touched, and many items out that probably should not have been. I think some of these things will be sorted in time since this is a new business. Since we booked a 2 hour play session, I asked the associate at the front desk if we could play pickleball for an hour instead of playing out our second hour. He did try to charge me $60 for pickleball so we just decided to leave early. Generally, my 11 year old and 9 year old had a good time. But if you are planning your being younger children, I would consider going elsewhere.

You can rent a court by the hour, starting on the hour (not starting on half hours). Compared to other places we have played, the pricing is a little high, but it's indoor and we got out of the heat, so it was worth it! It's more of a gym than a social places like chicken n pickle. No food/bar etc here.

Plus, they have a ton of really fun events and tournaments. If you seriously want to elevate your game (regardless of your skill level), you HAVE to go see Coach Tanner. He WILL bring your game to the next level and beyond!! You will appreciate his techniques, strategies and coaching style. Plus, he's a great guy that has a really nice way about him. This is, in my opinion, the absolute best pickleball facility and community in north Dallas. Be prepared to make new friends!

I came back this weekend to play a Singles DUPR round robin there and am thrilled at how this place has really turned the corner and improved the pickleball experience it offers, which arguably is the most well-rounded in DFW: Open plays, lessons, leagues, DUPR Nights (Singles and Doubles), Senior open plays, corporate/private parties, and court reservation options. Coach Will ran our DUPR event, and his customer engagement was tremendous, starting from the second I walked in the door. He really took interest in my questions and comments and offered some tips to the group throughout the event, which was a complete turnaround from the lackluster effort the last time I played a Singles event there. I was really happy to see that DiP has resurfaced most of its courts, and they look and feel fantastic. The paint job with the sponsor logo in the kitchen offers a pro tournament vibe, and they established some barriers to keep ball interruptions to a minimum. I have always walked away from a DiP programming event feeling the players were competitive and fun to meet, and that continues to be the standard there - I've never been disappointed in the play on the court or the social interactions. While it isn't the easiest location for me to get to, I will definitely make the extra effort and am also excited to check out the new Grand Prairie location once DiP is able to build some awareness about it.

I love Preston Playhouse - it's a really cool rec center offering pickleball, padel and a bar to relax for work events and family/friend get-togethers. In DFW there are what I call "Pickleball Operations" and "Places That Offer Pickleball." Unfortunately where I am in the game, Preston Placehouse is more of a "Place That Offers Pickleball" - which isn't what I'm looking for but may be great for you. The courts are colorful and (mostly) in great shape and the spacing is pretty good. They have morning ($10) and evening ($15) open plays which isn't the most expensive in town but not the cheapest. The Open Plays are All Levels, so a bit of a gamble in terms of the quality of player you will find. Last night I found some really good ones but there weren't many. When I first went there there were more, but it seems like they may be choosing places like Pickler Universe and The Picklr. Preston Playhouse though is a fun atmosphere and great place to bring friends or your own group but it's not a pickleball community focused on ramping up competition or teaching skills and it doesn't try to be.

The server we had was very attentive considering it was only him helping us and we were a group of maybe 15 people. The area is very open. They had indoor and outdoor courts. They had a playground for kids too which I found was pretty cool. I saw a big battleship, connect four and corn hole. Probably a few more I didn't see. They reserved an indoor court. Everyone had fun. Ok now for food ... I ordered the chipotle chicken bowl with a country margarita. (Can't remember the exact name). Margarita was good. Had that pina colada taste to it. And it wasn't too strong. The chicken was ok in my opinion. It had pickled coleslaw. And it was a 10/10 for me on that. The chicken was like chipotle with that tomato taste to it. So I was getting more tomatoes than chipotle. So I might consider something else. My husband ordered the skirt steak and he loves it. Came with a tortilla too and honestly they are good! There was like 15 of us so I wasn't going to go around invading peoples food lol but I did try the fried pickles and I enjoyed them. Then one of the guys had a pizza with fries and also said it was good. We only had one person who didn't like his food. He ordered half a bird I think but he was very skeptical of it being way too pink. And felt he might get sick if he ate it all because he thought it could have been undercooked. So that was that. Overall we enjoyed our time. We will consider coming back with our kids, since we see kids eat for free for a limited time.
