The interior design alone is worth the trip. We headed west looking for a new spot to have a good meal and enjoy one another's company. Walking in to bonfire, you are met with gorgeous bar scene with some very unique (in a good way) decor. I specifically told my husband that I wanted to meet the interior designer simply to discuss the restroom design. It is phenomenally put together. We first enjoyed the bread service. Wow. The cornbread was amazing. The biscuits are better than mine and I am a little envious of that, ha! Next we went for Texas Poutine. We had "the real thing" in Canada in August. We were really excited to have the Texas version. It didn't disappoint. Grandma's homemade French fries soaked in short rib drippings, topped with locally sourced ground beef. [also- as a side note, all of their meats and dairy are locally sourced]. On to entree's- husband: NY strip, blue rare; kid: burger; me: creole meatloaf. All of it was perfect. We had zero complaints. We rounded out with an ice cream sundae and apple crostata. The ice cream is homemade, y'all. I also had two cocktails that were really good (lavender & lime Collin's, French 75). The Collins was my fav out of the 2. Very refreshing. We can't wait to come again. And again. Cute place! Service started out a wwweeeeee but rough... The hostess & server not happy we walked in 30 minutes before close... Which Always leaves me Scratching my head... (Not shaking), seeing as I was in the food business. If you want to close at 1:30pm, then by all means make your restaurant hours Sundays: 10a-130p. We made reservations last week (Friday January 30) for Valentines evening. Today, 5Feb, we received a phone call from the restaurant that they've decided to go with an 8 course set menu for Valentines for $130 a person. The website does not mention a set menu for Valentines. I pulled up the website again and as if to make a new reservation and again there is nothing about a price set menu for a 8 course dinner for Valentines. We are driving 3 hours for an evening in Paris and were excited to experience the culinary favorites at Bonfire. The young lady asked if we would be interested in speaking to the manager and we agreed to talk to the manager. She called us at 12:26 this afternoon. It's 2:57 and we still haven't heard from anyone from Bonfire. This is very poor business and tremendously unprofessional to their customers. Has anyone else experienced this with them? It was decent. The bread was heavy and dense I would pass the next visit. I ordered roasted beet salad and it was delicious. Highly recommend, my entree was meatloaf the plating was sloppy , tomato glaze was different , meatloaf dry, overall a no. I didn't eat anymore after 3 bites. My partner ordered salmon and his was delicious. The onion soufflé very good. Service was good. Walked in at 5 would not seat us in the dining room as according to them they were all reserved. We had a group of 5 for a work related dinner after a very long hard day of work. The kitchen closes at 9 and the bar at 10. We arrived at 8:15. We were told several times that the kitchen closed at 9:00 as we were reviewing the menu and deciding what to order. We all ordered entrees, drinks and most ordered dessert. I ordered the hanger steak. Honestly it's the worst piece of meat I've ever had in a restaurant. It's supposed to be prime. I've never ordered hanger steak before. I could barely cut it with the knife and was having trouble finding pieces that I could even chew. The brussel sprouts were called roasted Brussel sprouts. I expected them to be fairly crispy and certainly not mushy. They were mushy and not good. As about 9:30 to 9:45 rolled around they began pulling dishes from us as fast as they could. They literally were almost throwing desserts that we ordered at us as we were attempting to finish our entrees. People were sweeping floors numerous people were coming and trying to take her plates and dishes from us so that they could close. For a "high-end restaurant" this is completely unacceptable. On a positive note, my coworker loved his fillet and another liked her pork chop. The blueberry pull apart got a thumbs up, but the lemon creme brule was given an "it's okay." I had a simple scoop of chocolate ice cream that was "grainy" like ice cream that has not been kept cold enough or has been in the freezer a long time. There are not many restaurants in the area. I would consider going back but I would make sure that we arrived earlier and I would order the filet and a salad and that's it. read more

Absolutely DELICIOUS! BonFire opened July 5, 2025 and is a breath of fresh air for Paris, Tx! High end food, beautiful presentation, gorgeous decor! I hope Paris will support such a nice place. It is a little pricey for our area, but it is unlike other restaurants in our area! The service was great, plenty of staff. Couldn't ask for better! I had the gulf coast bouillabaisse and my boyfriend had the spit roasted chicken. Both were wonderful! Customer beside us had the double-cut pork chop and it looked amazing! The newest upscale restaurant in Paris TX is a welcome jewel to the Paris dining scene. BonFire is simply wonderful. I've been there several times since they have been open and have not been disappointed with any aspect of my dining experiences. Excellent wine selection, delicious entrees; knowledgeable, friendly, attentive servers all surrounded by an sophisticated but casual atmosphere. The cause of many restaurant failures often is poorly trained or unfriendly servers, I believe BonFire has made attitude and ability a top priority for selection of it's staff. Went to lunch with a group of about 10. Separate checks. Those who had soup or salad liked their food, however,$3 for a toasted slice of bread without advising diner was wrong. The burgers were overcooked & hard, very salty. Chicken salad was inedible by person who ordered it. On top of this, they added 20% to everyone's check for "large party"- this added up to 4-8 dollars more to each check. Had been there once before for dinner with same number of people and did not get this added charge. Afraid between the two tries of this upscale restaurant- not many of us would return. read more

I ate there this week and was surprisingly disappointed in my meal and that of my lunch mate. Her bread was so burnt around the edges to make it inedible. My lunch was the Paris Dipper and it was not good, the brisket was chewy and stringy and the dipping sauce had an acrid flavor. The baguette it was served on was very hard. I ordered the $12 Meyer lemon creme brulee. It should never have been served to a diner. The lemon custard was the consistency of melted ice cream- you could literally pour it from the spoon. The torched merengue was over whipped to a lumpy consistency and overly burnt. Sadly, my first visit to Bonfire will be my last. I had such high hopes going in. read more

We had the Hangar steak and the Royal burger, both were juicy and packed with flavor! The fries were also insanely good, the kind you just keep reaching for even when you are full. I'm not even a big fan of fries, they're just that good! Our mixed drinks were spot on! The ratatouille was another standout, very fresh and rich. It complimented my meal and drink very well. The atmosphere was really amazing from start to finish.
