Sopes de la Casa

Quickly sad us at a booth instantly brought you the typical in eagerly devoured chips and salsa. The chips were hot and endless even though our waitress was constantly moving, taking orders and bringing food. I spouse and I shared the lunch ribeye la mexicana and the Sope each of those plates came with refried beans and Mexican rice. This is definitely Tex-Mex. That's dependable and not disappointing but not out of this world. We've come again since the food options in this area is pretty limited. The ambiance was typical Tex mex vibes and the ability to please tourist people with constant flow of college basketball on the TV with captions.

Dinner here was delicious! Food was hot and fresh. Waiter was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and made good suggestions. Place was busy but we received our order quickly. Passing through but will definitely stop again if we are in this area.

Great food! Great Service! This was the best value location we found in all of Broken Bow and Hotcha Town. The restrooms we very clean and neat. Go!

Hashbrown Special

We had breakfast. It was decent. I would recommend the Hashbrown Special which is what I had but suggest to substitute jalapenos, which I forgot to do. (If I was making I would also add mushrooms.). Salsa is NOT good, tastes very tomato pastey so hard pass for that! Husband had one of the Mexican breakfast options and he preferred mine. Wait staff was nice and efficient. Place is clean and welcoming. Husband said music is weird because it's pop music instead of Mexican.

The food was really really good. The salsa was good. The service was good. He kept our beers replaced and our salsa full. The ambiance was quiet. We got there bout an hour before closing on Thursday night. We will go back when we're in Broken Bow next time

Staying in the Beavers Bend area for a nice quiet getaway with family. We all decided it was time for some TexMex and headed into town to Papa Poblanos. I had checked out the reviews and they were pretty solid. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. One of the ways in rate a TexMex restaurant is the quality of their salsa and chips. Papa Poblanos met the criteria, they were very good, not top-notch, but very good. I ordered a frozen Margarita, it was delicious. For my entree, I decided on a flauta platter accompanied with rice and refried beans. My sister and wife decided to share an order of chicken fajita nachos. It was more than ample to share between the two of them. My flauta platter was very good, totally yummy rice and refried beans. The flautas were fried a bit longer than they should have been but they had a delicious filling especially dipped in the restaurant's salsa. Thank you ,Papa Poblanos for a very nice experience, great customer service and delicious food. We'll see you again soon when we return to the Beavers Bend area.

The food was excellent! I highly recommend the molcajete, which is a giant bowl of all the meat with melted cheese and avocado. It's served with tortillas (similar to fajitas but so much better). The limeade was sweet, sour, and foamy. I loved it. Our service did get a bit spotty after we got our food. There was a drink station in the room we were in and we refilled our own drinks and got our own to go containers. The checkout was in the front, but there was a wait. Food 5/5. Customer service needs improvement.

The chips and salsa were really good! Disappointed with the white queso and carnitas tacos. They both were lacking in flavor and seasonings.

What a sweet little mom and pop "hole in the wall" place just east of Broken Bow on Highway 70!…read moreThere are only five booths inside and a picnic table outside so seating is limited but they seem to do a lot of business through their pick up window so I think a lot of their customers take their food to go. This is a very authentic Mexican restaurant. They do not make their own tortilla chips, however, which is just as well because normally I overeat those and have no room for my entree! My husband and I both ordered the beef burrito and I was pleased with the freshness of the burrito ingredients and noted that it was not loaded with a bunch of shredded cheese. We ordered ice tea and it was fresh brewed and refreshing. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful. We would definitely return and try some more of their menu offerings. I was pleased to see on their menu too, that they served menudo on Saturdays as well as tamales. I would definitely return for that and give it a try.

Everything is made to order in their tiny kitchen and delivered with a smile. They have canned drinks and some Mexican sodas, but do not serve fountain drinks. Their prices are also very good! There are no chicken tenders at this place, so make sure picky kids are prepared for that!
