My wife and I attended a Premier Pool Open House at their offices with the intent to just "to look". We met Jeremy and he gave us an idea of what to they do, what to expect, and some light design options from the showroom. He offered to visit our house to make measurements so that he could create some design mockups of possibilities. Within a week or two, Jeremy sent us a "first look". We asked for a few edits here and there given we had no ideas where we wanted to go with it as we completely leveled our existing yard and kept nothing. We were amazed by the first drafts given that we didn't think a pool would fit in our yard comfortably. Jeremy was extremely patient with the design iterations as we played around with ideas. The designs sold us and we were all in! Initially we thought it would take 6-8 weeks for permits to be pulled after we gave the green light to proceed. They ended up being approved in less than a week and we broke ground about week later. Premier was extremely fast with their team of contractors and subcontractors from demolition to full completion. From breaking ground to filling with water was less than a three-month turnaround. With several of those weeks the result of Christmas to New Year's vacation and time it takes for various components like decking or pool interior to cure. Premier was great with communication in terms of letting us know each morning who was coming on any given day. Usually we heard from Jeremy and our construction manager Teo a day or two earlier than Premier's automated emails on next steps. While Jeremy and Teo were clear, it was nice to receive the emails to make sure we heard everything correctly. Pros: Showroom has too many option to choose from! LOL! From textures to colors, there was almost too many. They even recommended visiting tile shops if we wanted to explore other colors. Jeremy was extremely polite and patient. He was readily available by both text and email for any questions we had. Teo was also great at stopping by to check on progress and see if we had any questions. He was also readily available by text message. We had them install a specialty BaduJet Turbo Pro. We pointed them to the website and they took care of all specs to fabricate the pool around it, all additional electrical work, and all additional plumbing. Recommendations for Premier: It would be great if some of the subcontractors were brought "in house" to provide full wraparound services. We opted to install tempered glass so that the pool could be enlarged and moved closer to the house. But we had to coordinate that on our own with a window contractor. We will use their subcontractor to install rock facades on our house. It would be great if they could have done in under the Premier contract at the same time they were doing the pool facades. I get it, they do pools, not houses. Premier took care of all the electrical, water, and gas hook ups that were related to the pool. We had to work with a couple of the subcontractors on the side to add additional sprinkler lines and move some electrical wiring on the side. Those also would have been great if it was done under the Premier contract as well. Premier's contractors and subcontractors obviously knew what they were doing so they pool just kind of came together. It would be great if Premier had a larger portfolio album of actual photos of pools so that we knew in advance what we were getting. We "trusted the process" and it all came together, but I could see some clients desiring to know more in advance. We subcontracted out the construction of a custom kitchen island because Premier doesn't build them (again, because they build pools), providing subcontractors provides another opportunity for Premier to be full service. read more

One year update... our grass is now filled with valleys from sinkage so rolling your ankle WILL happen. You can see where all of our pipes were ran in our yard. Our concrete is completely lifted from the ground and will most likely break soon and our pool sweep that comes with the pool does not work and has honestly never really worked. The pool itself is good but everything else that definitely costed a pretty penny, looks like crap and is dangerous. Very disappointed. read more

When I looked to build a pool it was an obvious choice since I had used Premier Pools 28 years prior. Building a pool in winter time had the bonus of getting the end of year specials which cut the cost down. Jeff made the experience easy and quick from the first site visit to the day of actually going over the plans and selecting colors. Note: they only do hardscape (pool,spa, concrete, turf, retaining wall). I decided on a pool, spa, concrete, turf, retaining wall, and solar. They started construction almost immediately with the whole project finished (minus a couple of punch list items) in about 3 months. Maybe it's my experience with these guys and it's been like pulling teeth from a shark. I can't get anyone from this company to come and quote my pool light. They keep flaking on me. I wish I had a better review but god damn, it is not that hard. Sales guy said he had something come up, ok great I get it things do, but also said on a text he would call to reschedule and yet to get a call back. That was 1 week ago. Oh well. Most everything has 1 year warranty on it. When you spend over $100,000 on a pool you would expect more. We had a few things break the first year. They did replace/redo. But now our pool is falling apart on year 3 and it's out of warranty and I'm not talking about a little pipe or equipment.....the masonry waterfall they built is literally falling apart. read more

Very good experience with Premier Pools. Steve Provost was our salesman and guided us through the whole planning and building process. We highly recommend Steve! Our one and only complaint is the way the cement workers disrespected our yard, walking through flower beds and grass, crushing plants then deciding to wash and clean all their equipment on our grass. They left concrete debris in the grass consisting of a white film with chunks of concrete to be kicked up by the mower. We contacted Steve and he had the crew come back and clean up the mess, but they literally tore out areas of the grass leaving bare areas in my once beautiful green yard. They have offered to replace the grass, which we have accepted, but their blatant disregard for our property was disappointing. We gave them a rating of 4 because of Steve and also because we love our pool and spa, it would have been a 5 if the "crew" had been more respectful of our property. read more

Before I give a formal review, i would like to see if the company's owner/representative calls me back. In short, service personnel made some changes to my pool equipment and I have not heard from the company. I have emailed them, called them, and now I am resorting to this to see If I can get a response from them. I feel that some of their staff does a great job, but now that I have run into some problems, they seem not to care. We hired Premier Pools to put in our pedestal (18in above ground) pool and we have had an amazing experience. We have appreciated the clear communication, seamless construction and a lot of very hard workers to make this dream come true. We always knew what was coming next and trusted the process. It really went so much smoother than I imagined. No drama!! For reference our pool is 15x25 with a Cabo shelf on one side and sitting ledge on the deep end. We opted for Midnight as our interior. Pools aren't cheap but Premier was in line with other estimates but got the job because of how easily they communicated and took care of our questions!! (Thanks Nash!!) 10/10 !! Our neighbor was nice enough to let us know which company they were using to construct their new pool and give us their contact number. Whatever the quality of their work may be, we caught whoever was working this particular day red-handed dumping cement runoff on our property. My wife had to go out and confront the person to stop what they were doing, and they assured her it wouldn't damage anything. She showed me the footage and aftermath after I got home from work. I called the company during hours, no answer, so I left a detailed message describing the damage as well as both mine and my wife's number to call us back. Neither of us received a text nor voicemail to follow up. This kind of behavior is unacceptable. My only request on the message was for them fix the damage, which at this point now is the stain and replacing the lava rock they defaced. So take caution in hiring this company, their practices may end up pissing off your neighbors in the future. read more

We actually started digging the pool a year ago and no fault to us or Premier a gas line was hit. Completing parts of this Performance Review was not easily done. Our experience in the beginning was great. But once the pool construction started we learned that our garden window was not within the acceptable distance from the pool. This had to be resolved by replacing it with one that had tempered glass. At an additional cost of over $6,000. Then shortly after this when PG&E was contacted to upgrade our gas meter to accommodate the hot tub, we learned that the city required a 30" distance from the electrical box. This problem took weeks to resolve but eventually PG&E relocated the gas meter. Another detail overlooked. One of the most challenging things we had to deal with was the higher than recommended retaining wall needed to account for a slope in our yard. If this had been identified when all the cement decking was poured, that would have been wonderful. But it was something we had to deal with on our own, with a different cement company. We learned that when it comes to this kind of project, it's all about how quickly they can get each phase of the project done, so they get their next payment. We genuinely felt rushed once the pool was nearing completion. We were rushing to complete a fence because Premier Pools wanted the final payment paid and the next inspection completed. That meant artificial turf went in ahead of our retaining wall project which could only be partially installed and then the cement contractor had to roll part of it back to pour concrete. Now, more than a month later, we are still waiting for the artificial turf to be completed. It should be said that we had lots of communication with our sales representative along the way. He always responded to all our questions and concerns. But, in the end we feel he should have recognized city codes and requirements at the beginning of the project. It would have been nice to have avoided the stress with the retaining wall, as it was clearly an afterthought which became our responsibility to get completed. So, when it comes to a big construction project like this, don't just assume that the contractor knows all the city codes in your area. It is best to ask all the questions prior to beginning the project to avoid the headache down the road! We truly have to say that the finished pool looks beautiful. The quality of the work is excellent. The many construction staff that came out to our home were amazing. Everyone who came to our home treated our property with respect. We had no complaints there whatsoever. We look forward to many summers ahead in our dream backyard! read more

I got 3 bids before deciding on Premier Pools. Their prices faired lower than the other bids. Steve Provost came out to give me a bid. He understood what I was wanting and before I knew it he had designed it on his laptop. That was fun! That beginning vision soon became a reality and I have a beautiful pool. Our construction manager was Rubin Rosalia. Every step of construction had a professional specialized team and each team completely cleaned up after they completed their work. Rubin was great with communication and kept everything rolling on schedule. Only took 9 weeks even though winter rain held us up on occasion. As soon as the pool was full, Justin came out and trained us on the pool and pump. Great tutorial and very informative. He's been back twice to service the pool. He's thorough.
