Pool Time recommended Leak detection, they came out, pointed to a spot I already knew wasn't the issue, but whatever--Pool Time took their sweet time (about two weeks) to show up. When they finally did, they dug a 4x4 crater in my yard next to the pool like they were searching for buried treasure. As you can tell from the pictures, they also used an old table I had in a trash pile along with my ladder to cover the freaking hole. Knowing damn good and well that I have a dog. Shockingly, there was no leak there. Leak detection returned, admitted their mistake, sent corrected paperwork... and Pool Time? Radio silence. Absolute crickets. No call. No scheduling. No urgency. No accountability. Just a giant hole sitting there like modern art. I've called multiple times. Left messages. Followed up. And every single time, they STILL can't find my address or contract. It's like dealing with customer service powered by a Magic 8 Ball. Meanwhile, my pool is turning green--because someone, for reasons unknown to humanity, turned off the pumps during the hottest week of the year. So now I have a swamp, a crater, and a company that apparently doesn't believe in returning calls. Their customer service isn't just bad--it's nonexistent. It's a void. BEWARE! NO communication. NO follow up. The only thing they show up on time for is the collecting of the payments. READ your contract and confirm all details in writing. I had to tell him he had to "do the right thing" and keep the terms of his contract when he sent his construction manager to tell me part of the scope of work we agreed to and signed on not once but twice was not actually charged. We had to drain the pool not once but twice. Electrical tape was used to install a switch into our power box, and NO ONE ever came to close out the job with us. Now I have leaking pipes and a horribly ugly blotchy pool bottom that looks less like the black bottom pool I was promised and more like black algae stains. A year ago we had Pool Time resurface our pool. Almost immediately after the pool was refilled with water we notified or sales person that the surface had heavy discoloration spots in a number of areas of the pool. He kept telling us that he would come out to inspect but it has been almost a year now and he never has. We spent more than $25k on the resurfacing and were told that there was a 2 year warranty however they won't even come out to look at the horrible discoloration in the surface. I've had Pool Time for over four years and they are the absolute worst Pool Service. I've gone through several new Pool service people in the last several months and all of them did a terrible job, including not cleaning filters, even though I paid for the service, not sweeping or cleaning the pool. They also left a hose running with water into the pool for six or seven hours. Fortunately, I came home before the pool was flooded over. They have overcharged for some repairs and used inferior parts. Such as the cheapest Pool auto fill valve on the market. They've done service and repairs that were not necessary and charged way more than the going rate. I have complained over and over and over to management and the service representatives with lip service responses. I would never recommend this company to anybody! I spoke with Teresa earlier last week about our pool turning green for the 3rd time since May. I also emailed last Friday. We are now turning green a fourth time. This has been a baffling situation as we have been customers for more than a decade and never encountered this type of problem before. It has meant that we have been unable to use the pool at all so far this year. I personally cleaned the filters a fourth time this week after the technicians came out and finally applied the appropriate chemicals to eliminate the algae bloom. Last week was the first time the pool has actually cleared up since May. Cleaning the filters and brushing the pool has not been effective. It is now turning green again and black algae is everywhere. This was not the case until this week. When speaking with the technicians last week, it came to light that our property is at the end of the route. The technician admitted that they often run out of the appropriate chemicals and are unable to adequately provide the service we have been paying for. I have suspected our property of being skipped occasionally for the last year. Clearly it has been happening since May. I am disturbed and concerned that this problem is going to continue. We have incurred a huge power bill running the filter constantly because of this issue which could have been avoided entirely. I am sympathetic to staffing and supply shortages but we have never been apprised of the situation or informed something was amiss. We have still not received the pool vacuum bag that the work order was created for on 6/23. Our phone calls and e-mails are not being returned. I would prefer not to file a police report for fraud but I am at a loss for how to proceed. read more

Beware! This company destroyed my custom paint job when their concrete dust from their jackhammering covered my car. They denied everything to their insurance company, even though I had their foreman come witness the damage AND had my paint repair company send in the damage report with photos! They went so far as to tell their insurance company that they didn't use jackhammers--again, I had photos to prove that was a lie. They also constantly parked in disabled parking and denied that--even when I had photos of them doing so! I wish I had called the police so they could get a nice fat ticket. I ordered the Katch-a-kid pool safety net and had a great experience. Hector was very patient while he explained all the variables and choices between a net versus a fence with a gate. I decided the net was a better fit for us due to the layout of our backyard. He measured our pool and provided the quote. When the ordered net arrived, Hector came back to install it. Disappointed. I would not recommend this company. The salesman(Matt) suggested a more expensive commercial plaster. He said it would not mottle like the standard plaster , he said I would only have a small amount of mottling . He also said their plaster crew did commercial pools and had exceptional skill. My plaster has far more gray shading and inconsistent color than the plaster that was removed. There is some white plaster here and there. Their contract states to view the pool from 10 feet away to see a perfect pool. That's true, so don't get in it. After completion of the plaster I went out to look at it. I noticed I was missing a water return jet. I had 3 and now there was 2. The plaster crew plastered over it. After we informed pool time where the return was located they pounded a hole in the new plaster to expose it. This could have been a disaster if I didn't notice it. During the demo process, unbeknownst to me, disassembled my BBQ to take our propane tank to run their generator. They just tossed the propane tank and disconnected hoses back in the cabinet. I was charged 675 dollars for a 25 dollar toilet plunger for my autofill. It was originally speculated we might need repairs on the autofill system. No repairs were needed so the 675 should have been adjusted. I was told by Pool Time they understand it was an excessive price but would not get refunded. That is dishonest. No project management. Crews would show up unable to perform the work because some other task needed done first. This happened several times. Find yourself a small pool builder that takes pride in their work. read more

We used Pool Time for a complete pool remodel which we were absolutely happy with. The remodel came with a month of free pool service...which we were completely unhappy with. They told us that they would email us prior to the month long service ending so we could coordinate with our current pool service to start which they never did; we also only saw them come twice in the month of service. I called Pool Time to tell them that we didn't see any person come for our last weeks service and our pool was starting to look cloudy. As you can see our pool eventually turned completely green and we had to shock it and have our normal pool company fix it. I called and left 2 voicemails with Pool Time to try to get them out and never got a call back. We were all in all happy with the work they did, we had tons of communication issues along the way but it seems like that's with every company now so I don't fault them too much for that. The "free month" of pool service is awful and I wouldn't trust it and just continue with your normal service...we lost out on using our pool for approx 2 weeks in 100degree+ temperatures. read more

After a weeks delay on the start time, Pool Time workers got in there to replace a skimmer & a small section of the deck on our 35+ year old pool. Demo and replacement of the skimmer was done in one day by a great crew of professionals. Long day but they found the problem in a cracked pipe. During that same time they removed tree roots the size of my arm and leg. Day 2 they spent time with us to form the deck and pour the cement and perfectly match the exposed aggregate to our existing deck. Everything was done to our satisfaction by a great crew of hard working professionals. Highly recommended!! read more

We used Pool Time after moving into our new home because the prior owners used them. We assumed because of the cost (pool plus separate cost for sauna) and the surprise costs, that they took care of everything. They don't! All they ever did for the sauna was drop a tablet in. This cost $75 a month. Pool was $145. Extra costs some months took us over $300. We decided to take water sample elsewhere for testing and found we had no salt in the pool, no chlorine in the pool, and deficiencies in other areas. Sauna had no chlorine. We fired them immediately. What I've learned since maintaining the pool myself is Pool Time does the bare minimum, if that. Gotta make those rounds! read more

Be careful with this place. They service out in ground hot tub and separate salt water pool. Had to call them before because the hot tub was turning green. Just this past Monday their new tech tested the water and said there was no trace of chlorine. Not sure how this happens being that they were here the week before. We also had our pool tested by another company and were told that to bring it up to where it should be we need about 500 lbs of salt. We have been paying two separate fees and not sure if we were getting what we paid for. We are looking at our legal options. read more

Hi there, I chose two stars because it could've been better. The primary issue I had with this work was that I was quoted a price to have a pool autofill system put in. The price was for one day of a "team" of labor to dig the trench and install the float etc. The implication was that there would be around three to five people there. The hole was already drilled in my pool and the old pipe was cut and removed by someone else to prep for the autofill. Two people showed up on the first day as the "Team." When they returned the next day to finish up, I was then told that I had to pay for that day. I understand that housing contractors often go over budget etc., but they led me to believe that it was all in the bid. This was a straightforward job, and at the very least the company should have offered to split the difference with me. When I asked them to, I was told "oh that is up to our owner." I gave up and paid it. The downside is I will not go back to this company to do anything else. If you decide to go with them, just know they may tack on more charges even after the contract is signed and the work started. I will say the office staff was nice. The onsite workers were friendly but did not finish the job by installing the float; they left it in a bag in the autofill hole. When they left they turned my hose on to fill the pool and didn't say a thing to me about the system. When I called to ask about this, Pool Time did send someone out first thing the next day to attach the float. So, like I said, it could have been better. read more

They then just left with out finishing the job and told us they were done which was a lie. Then manager calls and says to reschedule for the following week. They come back the next week 1 hour late and finished the job... never said anything after about showing us how it work the unit or asking if we had any questions at all. I used this company do do a repair job on my pool plastering and clean the tile after emptying the pool. The three guys that came out did a good job, were professional, on time and polite. Salesman however, was another storey. He took a lot of hounding and seemed like he wasn't upto speed; he changed his storey from time to time. Didn't even read properly emails. Company owner failed to return a phone call despite his fancy voice mail outgoing message. He got wind subsequently that I was frustrated and sent me an email saying he would follow up. They're one of maybe two companies that dive in this area. Dane fixed the leak I was having with my light niche and fiberglass pool, and patched a leak I had at the rim of the main drain. Pricey, but there are no real alternatives. After a week, my pool started to leak, again, and instead of diving to check that the main drain had been sealed properly Tristen tells me to use someone else. So no warranty or guarantee, which is understandable, but given it was only a week later, they could've at least gone back down for the $2400 I paid. I ended up buying a diving system and noticed the leak was a simple patch job at the main drain. You might as well save your money and get diving gear. YouTube was a great resource for fiberglass pool leaks. read more

So I was wrong, they didn't fix my pool light. The first time I went to use it after winter it worked for 5 mins then went out. I have never been able to use my pool light even though Pool Time was paid to fix it. They wanted to charge me $175 to come fix their issue. My pool was totally redone in March 2019, resurfacing ,tile and grout along with new equipment. Different issues along the way, most were resolved but within 2 years, the grout over my spillway was deteriorating. At 1st Joe, the owner, said was normal but he would take care of the problem and have regrouted. That was in the spring of 2021 Well it is end of December and Joe has come out and looked at the situation but is not returning any calls. I have tried the office and his personal #. Left several messages and no response.. What has happened to customer service?? Also another issue regarding installation of equipment. Ignoring that situation also.
