After purchasing our new home with a completely blank slate backyard, we reached out to several different pool design companies, and after proposals and considerations went with Wells Pools. They listened to our wants needs and desires for a backyard. Adjusted the plans as we work through the process and wants committed. The process moved very expeditiously and smoothly over a eight week. Period. There were check-in along the way updates on the progress in the end results for exceeded our expectations. Thank you to the Wells Pool team for all you help, support and guidance through the process. Also to the sub contractors, who were all friendly and professional.

Incredible experience from the inception of design to installation. Working with Andrew, owner of Wells Pools, we were impressed with his design and architectural knowledge and experience. Andrew is a man of his word. Andrew's natural talents brought our pool vision to life exactly as we had imagined the pool to be. This is the first pool build for us and we found Andrew to have the patience of a saint, answering all of our questions etc. All of the crews for each step of this pool build provided excellent skilled craftsmanship, were consistent in service delivery, reliable and were hard workers. This has been a 12 star experience for us, from start to finish.

Can't recommend Wells Pools enough. From start to finish (which was about 8 weeks - including many rainy days) the process was so smooth and the results are fantastic. I love my pool and also my new landscaping by Adams, who coordinated with Andrew, one of the owners of Wells. The attention to detail by both were incredible and the cost was fair and competitive. Super pleased!

After receiving a cookie-cutter design with zero bells or whistles from Premier Pools, I happened to notice a Wells Pools sign in front of a home in East Sacramento, close to where we live. I researched the company and found that it's a small, local, family-owned business -- a refreshing change from the larger, more impersonal outfits. Willing to give them a try, I reached out. My wife and I soon met with the owner, Joel Wells, at our home to discuss possibilities for our small backyard. Joel was personable, knowledgeable, and clearly experienced in the challenges of designing pools for compact spaces -- especially in neighborhoods like East Sac and River Park, where he's completed several other projects. His approach was laid-back but confident, reflecting his years in the industry and deep understanding of pool construction. Throughout the design phase, Joel was collaborative and thoughtful. He offered creative suggestions to enhance the look and functionality of the pool, while remaining open to our ideas and proposed changes. When it came time to address permitting challenges -- such as getting city approval to build near overhead power lines -- Joel took care of it all, allowing us to move forward with peace of mind and a signed contract. Our project officially began on September 5, 2023, and wrapped up on November 11, 2023. In just over two months, the transformation was remarkable. The work included: * Demolition and removal of existing concrete * Removal of a large tree stump, citrus tree and lawn * Rerouting of our main water and sewer lines (which ran through the center of the yard) * Partial replacement of fencing and 3 new gates * And, of course, all phases of pool construction We completed filling the pool with water on November 11 -- 3 weeks ahead of schedule. With one exception, every subcontractor hired by Wells Pools was professional, reliable, and efficient. Unfortunately, we had two negative experiences with Ryan Aldridge, owner of Stamped Concrete Inc. While his crew's work was solid, his conduct was not -- he was unprofessional in one instance and unresponsive in another. Because of this, we wouldn't feel comfortable using or recommending his company in the future. There were times when quicker responses to our inquiries or more proactive updates on schedule changes from Joel would have been appreciated. Setting clearer expectations from the beginning about how and when these changes would be communicated might have helped prevent any frustration on both sides. While it's a minor issue in the grand scheme, it's worth mentioning -- especially for those, like us, who are new to the pool-building process. That said, our overall experience with Wells Pools has been excellent. For example, this past April we discovered a large sinkhole behind the back wall of the pool -- a result of the earlier sewer rerouting. We contacted Joel, and his crew was on-site within days to resolve the issue completely. More recently, when we had a problem with our pool solar system, Joel again stepped in, coordinating with the subcontractor and even offering to cover the service call himself if it wasn't under warranty. That kind of follow-through is rare -- and deeply appreciated. Wells Pools stands out not just for its craftsmanship, but for its integrity. When unexpected challenges arose -- like the sinkhole or issues with the pool solar system -- Wells Pools handled them promptly and professionally. It's clear that they prioritize delivering a high-quality product and truly stand behind their work. This is now our second summer enjoying the pool, and we still can't believe how beautiful it turned out. Our backyard has become a true extension of our home -- a peaceful, year-round outdoor living space we use almost daily. Wells Pools helped make that dream a reality. Thank you, Joel and the Wells Pools team!

If I could give six stars I would! Wells pools did a phenomenal job from start to finish. Andrew kept me updated throughout the process, and addressed all of the design details exactly how I wanted. The end product was beyond what I expected! The end product is spectacular!

I can't recommend this company enough. They were so professional, so efficient & had incredible workmanship. Their crews all showed up on time, worked long days & modeled the same professionalism as the pool company itself. From demo day to water in our pool was 8 weeks (including some weather delays in there), including almost 2,000sqft of concrete work and stairs. They held our hands through the entire process, adapting to our last minute change requests and modifications with ease and grace. There were no hidden or extra costs, they stayed within our budget and timeline to a T. They exceeded our expectations and I would 100% use them again and recommend them to anyone we know looking for a complete yard & pool build.

We could not have had a better experience with Wells. From the beginning, the customer service was top-notch and both the communication and the renderings were amazing. The process went as scheduled and was right on target for the six weeks they initially estimated. We are blown away by the before and after pictures and cannot recommend Wells enough!

Last night after work, I swam with my son for probably 2 hours throwing water footballs around, we lost track of time and it got dark. When we came inside he told me he had the most fun he could remember having. That made this all worth it. If you've been considering a pool, do it. We received 3 bids and decided to go with Wells Pools and I'm so happy that we did. Our neighbors had gone with other companies and it took them upwards of a year to complete. Wells Pools built us a beautiful, quality pool in 60 days. Andrew was an amazing communicator throughout the entire process. Seriously, whenever I had a question or concern, he was a text away. I highly recommend them.

Andrew and his team were extremely responsive, professional and did amazing work turning our yard into a great outdoor entertaining space. Highly recommended. So happy with the end result.

Our pool is beautiful. It's like we have a resort in our backyard now. We worked with Andrew of Wells, one of the owners, from start to finish, and had an excellent experience . He listened to us then helped with the design ideas that met our needs, AND worked within our budget to get the pool we wanted. This company is very responsive and communicated with us almost daily to let us know what was happening next. The crews that came were experienced, friendly, efficient and did quality work. If there was a problem or we needed a change, which barely happened, they were quick to address it. The are so many moving parts when building a pool and a lot can go wrong along the way. This was never the case with Wells. Also we appreciated that high quality materials and equipment were part of the initial bid. 5 stars for sure.

Great design and finish. Andrew gave an update every morning and was always quick to respond to any questions.

Still enjoying our pool! Wells has followed up on the issues at the end of the last pool season and we have been enjoying our pool since the start of the warm spring weather!

Just got the final inspection done. We are very satisfied with Wells Pool and Dave. We started the design process with Dave, and he kept us in the loop through out the process. All the various tradesmen that were involved were very professional and gave us sense of confidence in what they were doing. The pool came out even nicer than what we had imagined. We are glad and happy we went with Wells Pool.

My wife and I attended a Premier Pool Open House at their offices with the intent to just "to…read morelook". We met Jeremy and he gave us an idea of what to they do, what to expect, and some light design options from the showroom. He offered to visit our house to make measurements so that he could create some design mockups of possibilities. Within a week or two, Jeremy sent us a "first look". We asked for a few edits here and there given we had no ideas where we wanted to go with it as we completely leveled our existing yard and kept nothing. We were amazed by the first drafts given that we didn't think a pool would fit in our yard comfortably. Jeremy was extremely patient with the design iterations as we played around with ideas. The designs sold us and we were all in! Initially we thought it would take 6-8 weeks for permits to be pulled after we gave the green light to proceed. They ended up being approved in less than a week and we broke ground about week later. Premier was extremely fast with their team of contractors and subcontractors from demolition to full completion. From breaking ground to filling with water was less than a three-month turnaround. With several of those weeks the result of Christmas to New Year's vacation and time it takes for various components like decking or pool interior to cure. Premier was great with communication in terms of letting us know each morning who was coming on any given day. Usually we heard from Jeremy and our construction manager Teo a day or two earlier than Premier's automated emails on next steps. While Jeremy and Teo were clear, it was nice to receive the emails to make sure we heard everything correctly. Pros: Showroom has too many option to choose from! LOL! From textures to colors, there was almost too many. They even recommended visiting tile shops if we wanted to explore other colors. Jeremy was extremely polite and patient. He was readily available by both text and email for any questions we had. Teo was also great at stopping by to check on progress and see if we had any questions. He was also readily available by text message. We had them install a specialty BaduJet Turbo Pro. We pointed them to the website and they took care of all specs to fabricate the pool around it, all additional electrical work, and all additional plumbing. Recommendations for Premier: It would be great if some of the subcontractors were brought "in house" to provide full wraparound services. We opted to install tempered glass so that the pool could be enlarged and moved closer to the house. But we had to coordinate that on our own with a window contractor. We will use their subcontractor to install rock facades on our house. It would be great if they could have done in under the Premier contract at the same time they were doing the pool facades. I get it, they do pools, not houses. Premier took care of all the electrical, water, and gas hook ups that were related to the pool. We had to work with a couple of the subcontractors on the side to add additional sprinkler lines and move some electrical wiring on the side. Those also would have been great if it was done under the Premier contract as well. Premier's contractors and subcontractors obviously knew what they were doing so they pool just kind of came together. It would be great if Premier had a larger portfolio album of actual photos of pools so that we knew in advance what we were getting. We "trusted the process" and it all came together, but I could see some clients desiring to know more in advance. We subcontracted out the construction of a custom kitchen island because Premier doesn't build them (again, because they build pools), providing subcontractors provides another opportunity for Premier to be full service.

I am a longtime customer (well over a decade) of both the Gold River and Roseville locations - and generally have been very pleased with both the products I have purchased and the customer service experience I have had. Unfortunately, for the past six months, my experience has been nothing short of abysmal. In March, I ordered replacement outdoor cushions for furniture I originally purchased from CB in 2017. I was told the order would take 4-5 weeks for delivery, which would have meant I would have my new cushions by early May - in plenty of time for the summer season. However throughout the entire month of May and all of June, I was repeatedly told that the order had been "pushed" - meaning the delivery was delayed. I only received updates when I either called, texted or physically went into the store to inquire on the status. In late May, I was informed the delay was caused by the vendor (North Cape) because they had relocated their manufacturing facility from the midwest to Atlanta. More weeks went by with no additional information until I finally took it upon myself in mid-June to Google and discovered that this relocation had actually occurred in February as a result of a corporate acquisition. This acquisition led to significant issues with the ability of this vendor being able to manufacture and deliver products in a timely manner. After feeling extremely frustrated that CB either didn't know or didn't share with me what was really going with their vendor, I pivoted on June 30 by canceling this first order and choosing a different set of cushions from a different vendor (a vendor I was told was far more reliable- and by the way - more expensive). I placed this second order on June 30 - and was told it would take 5-6 weeks for delivery. While I was very disappointed I was going to miss a good part of the summer, I figured getting a new set of cushions by mid-August was still acceptable. Unfortunately it is now Sept. 4 and I still do not have the cushions. I only learned four days ago (8/31) that CB failed to submit the specific sizing requirements for one of the cushions to the vendor until July 12, two weeks after I had placed the order. This error led to more delays. Most frustrating is that this information was withheld from me despite my making multiple inquiries throughout August as to the status of my order. I have now lost an entire six months of the outdoor season due to circumstances entirely out of my control. I do not want to assign blame to any single person at CB. Instead, I believe this situation is likely the result of a systematic customer service failure within this company. There has been both a complete lack of proactive, regular communication to me (as the costumer), and a failure to proactively take whatever steps necessary internally to resolve this problem and get the product to the customer as soon as possible. I directly requested several times that CB explore an expedited shipment of the cushions - but these requests were either never fully pursued or an explanation of why this wasn't possible was never provided to me. I hope that CB will take my comments as constructive feedback and evaluate what improvements they can make so that this situation does not occur to other customers in the future. I also want to acknowledge that CB - to their credit- has offered me a substantial discount on the final purchase of these cushions. While I do appreciate this gesture, I would have much preferred to have received my cushions in the delivery timeframe that was promised.

Not once. Not quickly. Not without me repeating the same information like I'm reading lines in a hostage video. Now onto the disaster that pushed me over the edge. We had a pool leak. Pool Time recommended Leak detection, they came out, pointed to a spot I already knew wasn't the issue, but whatever--Pool Time took their sweet time (about two weeks) to show up. When they finally did, they dug a 4x4 crater in my yard next to the pool like they were searching for buried treasure. As you can tell from the pictures, they also used an old table I had in a trash pile along with my ladder to cover the freaking hole. Knowing damn good and well that I have a dog. Shockingly, there was no leak there. Leak detection returned, admitted their mistake, sent corrected paperwork... and Pool Time? Radio silence. Absolute crickets. No call. No scheduling. No urgency. No accountability. Just a giant hole sitting there like modern art. I've called multiple times. Left messages. Followed up. And every single time, they STILL can't find my address or contract.
