I had a quality pool company spray our first liner and it lasted almost twenty yrs and only cost us 8000 dollars we payed 11000 dollars GONE .The owner Dave basically said he will not make good of a poorly installed fiberglass Job that his company did only 8 yrs ago.If you want your pool to last longer than 8 yrs find another company they dont care about there customers after they get your money. We just finished a two year restoration on our 1961 Mid Century home, including the pool. The newer, 1 year old plaster finish (installed by another company) was already looking aged and a lot of maintenance due to local well water. Our pool is a unique design-shape, over 30,000 gallons and 12 feet deep. It's located within an exterior courtyard in the middle of our home. Randy met with us and answered all our questions pertaining to a fiberglass finish; easier care and less chance of staining compared to plaster. He made us feel comfortable with the upcoming process, helped with tile resources, and was accurate on the length of time they would need to complete the job. He also spent extra time researching water truck companies for filling the pool. The team working on the pool was terrific!!! Ramon, the supervisor worked along side his team, and all team members were professional, courteous, and always cleaned up at the end of each day. The end result is beautiful. Leaving a delayed review in the hopes it will stand as a testament to the quality standards and integrity of this company. I first contracted with Advanced in October of 2020 to convert my liner pool to fiberglass. The steps were designed, framed, and constructed from scratch. Based on the color of the existing liner and my desire not to have it be blindingly bright, I opted for a medium blue tint to the fiberglass. The stair design was finalized, the pool drained, the work completed and the area cleaned without incident. I was thrilled with the new look and would have written this review 2 years ago if the story ended there. Unfortunately, within a month I started to notice discoloration. While not severe, it was certainly noticeable to anyone looking for it and a major concern after such an investment. Upon closer inspection, the discolored area also felt different from the rest of the pool. I spoke to Advanced, they came out to inspect their work and agreed there was an issue, but couldn't say why the discoloration was occurring. Apparently I wasn't the only owner experiencing the issue, but the other pool that had the problem was much worse. Over the next months, despite being very busy, Advanced always responded to my calls and provided the latest info as they thoroughly investigated the issue. The discoloration continued to get worse, and spread to more places. Advanced drained the pool and attempted a spot fix, which unfortunately failed as well. Finally in January 2022, we gave up and the pool was drained a final time to be re-done in white. I used the pool extensively this summer and have had zero issues with discoloration or the surface not feeling uniformly smooth. The white that I was so worried would be blinding is a complete non-issue and makes the water in the pool look stunningly blue. It may have taken a bit longer than I'd anticipated, but I can't say how much I appreciate that Advanced stood by their standards and worked so hard to make it right, when it most likely involved a contamination of the coloring agent added to the fiberglass and was in no way their fault. My pool looks amazing and I know I will continue to appreciate the fantastic work done by Advanced for years. Thank you guys so much! read more

Advanced Pool Coatings just finished resurfacing our pool and it looks awesome! Our pool was old and had never been resurfaced, the plaster was tearing up the bottom of my kids feet and the missing tiles were an eye sore. From first contact to completion, we have had a wonderful experience with the entire team. Randy was my first contact, he came out within 24 hours to give me an estimate. He explained the pros of fiberglass resurfacing and answered all my questions both on site and then via text afterwards. He really walked with us through the entire journey. Upon signing contract, we were originally given a service date of about 6 months out, but were ecstatic when there was a cancellation and our time slot moved up by several months. Mike came out on a Wednesday night to set up the pump to drain the pool and offered his cell number to call if we should have any issues overnight. They crew arrived the next morning and worked efficiently over just 4 days to complete the entire resurfacing. Roman the crew leader was friendly and helpful throughout. The night after they left, we noticed two small areas of tile that didn't seem right. I contacted Randy and by the next morning they had someone out to fix them, so there was zero delay in refilling our pool. One if the best companies I have had the pleasure to meet. I inquired with several companies in Silicon Valley and none of them would offer a solution for my fiberglass pool and were difficult to work with. I was very glad to find that Advanced Pool Coatings covers this area. They have lots of experience with all kinds of pools, so saving my old pool with a very high quality product was a straightforward job. Several months after the resurfacing the end result looks still durable and very sharp. The team at Advanced Pool Coatings are total pros through and through. From the initial estimate all the way through to the project completion and follow-up I was impressed. Our original plaster was pretty badly cracked and we were told by a number of "plaster only" pool specialists that we needed fiberglass. We have used other companies over the years for our fiberglass pool repair and quite honestly with mediocre success. Advanced Pool Coatings was recommended and from the first conversation everything was on point. Dave Walter the owner of APC was professional, knowledgeable and specific as to how and why they do what they do. He explained from start to finish how the job would be done. He was very patient with all of the questions we had seeing our past experiences with other companies weren't great. They were very clear from the beginning as to the time line given how busy they were. The target date we were given was June and they were spot on. The team showed up on time and were professional, polite and again answered any questions we had. Having owned a pool for over 30 years and had repair and updating work done numerous times, never have we witnessed this quality of workmanship. After the initial tile installation, the following day Roman noticed one area that was not to his satisfaction and removed it and reinstalled so it all looked perfect! Who does that?? Our 52 year old gunite pool (built 1964) was a black algae laden hole when we moved into the house in 1979. After 8 years of fighting bad algae problems had the pool fiberglassed in 1987 by a now long deceased contractor, guaranteed for 5 years, expected life of coating 10 years. We kept it going for 25 years along with replacing skimmer 2003 and replacing all the plumbing/decking due to leaking 2012 But the last 2 or 3 years of that 25 years started to have some lifting/bubbles forming on the pool bottom fiberglassing which eventually cracked open. In the meantime we had Advanced Pools come in, removed all old fiberglass and replaced the old tile and gave us back a gorgeous new fiberglassed pool with new tile July 2016. It looks gorgeous, is easy to keep clean and we are extremely pleased both with the job and the company! They have been very supportive. We figured if they could take care of fiberglassing the pool for Harrah's, that was a good enough recommendation for us. We highly recommend them, excellent work! read more

We bought a short sale that included a home with a drained fiber-glass pool with a five foot crack in it. We interviewed pool contractors and wow they are a diverse bunch. Basically if they can't show up on time for a bid, or don't speak understandable English, or look like they spend every other day on a bender, we didn't consider them. The bids we got were also all over the map from the ridiculous, to reasonable. When I called Advanced Pool Coatings and got to work with Dave, from day one I had the feeling this was a group that had lots of experience, were reasonable and we felt comfortable having them do the work.
