My little flock.

Very helpful. Close to my house so a great thing since I am now a backyard chicken farmer. They had dozens and dozens of yellow chicks (?) and gobs of bard rock chicks too. Neat little slice of old Mesa. I'll be back!

10/10 experience! Absolutely amazing customer service!…read more We recently brought in an iguana that we unfortunately weren't able to properly house, and the owner was more than happy to take him in without any hesitation. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and even took the time to show us around the shop. During our visit, we mentioned that we'd been searching for map turtles for over a year with absolutely no luck. Within just a few days, he managed to track some down, get them into his store, and saved them for us. You seriously don't come across people like this very often. It's clear he genuinely cares about the animals and his customers, and he's willing to go above and beyond. We'll absolutely be back and couldn't recommend this place enough! 10/10 all around!

Today was my first visit to this shop, and I wanted to share the positive experience I had. As…read moresomeone who rescues mice and rats, animal welfare matters a great deal to me. I didn't tell the owner I was rescuing the mice--I simply asked for the five largest. He knew nothing about my rescue efforts, and this review reflects my own observations as a first-time customer. The owner greeted me warmly, and the enclosures I saw were well maintained. The animals appeared healthy, comfortable, and well cared for. I appreciated how familiar he was with their individual personalities and habits. He explained that some are his personal pets and aren't for sale, and his affection for them came through in our conversation. He also explained that two of his reptiles like to "decorate" their glass with little messes and said those spots are cleaned daily. During my visit, I didn't see the buildup of waste or neglected conditions described in some of the reviews. I can only speak to what I experienced that day, but I left with a very positive impression of both the shop and its owner. If you enjoy supporting local small businesses and appreciate friendly, welcoming service, I encourage you to stop by, ask questions, and see the shop for yourself. I'm glad I gave this place a chance!

This is a well-kept store with healthy animals. We purchased a milk snake here a few years ago and…read morehave been coming back ever since for supplies and food for our snakes. The store always seems to be improving, and it's clear they put effort into maintaining clean enclosures and keeping the animals healthy. It's also noticeably cleaner than some of the other reptile stores I've visited in the East Valley. I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're looking for reptiles or quality supplies.

To reply to your very clear ChatGPT response of a comment. Keeping these animals in areas with…read moreconstant stimulation, under bright lights, with customers and zero places to truly hide, has never been recommended by any reptile professional as highest standard of care. Why house an animal you don't have a permanent large enclosure for already? Just because you have met some specific guidelines that i'm sure are way too lax, does not mean you are acting in the best interest of the animal. Parading animals for the sake of shock value when you are not a zoo is just plain strange, especially knowing you will not ever sell them. So yes, I would rather face sacrificing a few feeder bugs than spend money at an establishment that sacrifices the environment and privacy of their animals. And refusing to acknowledge your employees just carelessly generalizing other reptile owners neglect as standard care is also very strange. Next time, instead of entering numbers into Chatgpt for it to compile a surface level response, spend that time thinking about the level of empathy you actually harbor for the animals you make your money off of. Updating my review: This you?? You've been legally cited and warned due to animal neglect before. But yes, use ChatGPT to tell me how much you care and prioritize your animals.
