I have gone to this location for over a year now and I have enjoyed every time I visit. I started coming here for the value of their dog food. I wanting to give better ingredients to my senior dog. Customer service is always at 100%; employees show care, look genuinely happy to be there, give great advice about the dog food, and they always offer to carry your items to your car. I greatly appreciate this family owned shop having the advantage of returns when your dog doesn't like the food. All they ask is to return it in its original packaging. I live further away but I continue going to Tempe Feed for the reasons above. Thank you guys! Keep up the amazing work read more

I love going here for my pet food! They always have everything I'm looking for and they are the kindest people I've dealt with! Love coming here for my dog, bunny, and kittens read more

I've grown up with dogs my whole life, and currently have two. Tempe Feed has been the single most helpful pet store I've ever used, and they've been my main go to place for food and advice for a few years now. They have an excellent selection of dog and cat foods, both dry and raw/wet, for great prices compared to other stores. On top of that, the family that runs the store are some of the most educated people I've met when it comes to animals. They always have excellent advice and recommendations when your pet has an issue, and on top of that they are actually licensed to sell certain medications. Overall, an excellent store with excellent staff. I wish more stores were like Tempe Feed. read more

Excellent place to go for your cat litter needs. If your cat prefers pine pellets like ours, you can buy 40 pound bags of pine pellets here for $12 each. Friendly staff and always happy to load it in your vehicle. read more

do not hesitate to come here--not only are they better priced than any grocery store with dog food or pet store, their service cannot be matched. Since I moved to Arizona 5 years ago, this is the single most consistent place and truly, it will be the one place I really miss if I leave. The workers are so knowledgeable about animals, specifically helping me with my little dog, Desi! They've helped me find the best food for my dog, having an amazing selection of frozen food that has significantly improved her health and her kept her coat and skin healthy and shiny in this dry heat. I can't tell you how many times i've avoided huge vet bills due to the staff who is willing to share their knowledge, expertise, and experience. I recommend Tempe Feed to all animals owners and every dog parent to go there and but your dogs some real bully sticks for a good price instead of the fake ones with all the nonsense in it! Thank you Tempe Feed for all you do and have done! read more

Good place for dog supplies. We went there specifically for chicken supplies and it was not plentiful, which is understandable based on location. Very friendly service and owners/workers. read more

Come here for all your pets needs. They have wide variety of foods for your pet from raw food to kibbles. I tried a new bag of food for my dog and it was not sitting well with him and I was able to return the bag for a different kind of food. They also have a punch card for some brand where if you buy 7 bags the 8th is free. Staff if very helpful as well! read more

My cousin highly recommended going to Tempe Feed after she sought out help for her German shepherd puppy. My biggest regret was that I didn't go sooner. I mentioned that I have been researching what foods would be the best to feed to Tucker because he deserves the BEST, but just like everything on the internet it's overwhelming and trying to figure out which options are legitimate versus commercially intended were very difficult to filter thru. Not only did they spent time and educated us on feeding Tucker a highly nutritious diet I was also surprised at how inexpensive it ended up being as well. Unfortunately dogs are only with us for a short period of time but that just means they deserve the best for the love and joy they provide. I feel confident that the Temp feed team have our animals best interests as their priority. Lifetime customer!! read more

I really love this place. I adopted baby chicks in January so have been a frequent shopper over the last six months. Every employee I've encountered was friendly, but more importantly, knowledgeable about chickens! I have questions every time I come in.... Should I give my chicks electrolytes in their water? Should I go with organic or natural food? What kind of snacks can I give the birds? Why is my smallest bird not laying eggs? Without fail, they've always had answers and advice for me. I love that this is a local business and even better - it's family owned and operated!! They are small but the store is jam packed with supplies for cats, dogs, chickens, horses, you name it! They sell real cat and dog food - you know, the kind with protein and ingredients you recognize, not just animal by-products and corn meal. In my opinion, pets are part of the family and deserve to eat real food so it's worth the extra money. The quality of the products and the helpfulness of the staff keep me coming back. Tempe Feed and Tack is 1,000 times better than any Petco or Petsmart. While they may not offer as many products, you'll find all the essentials here. PS - Recently they started carrying CHICKEN HARNESSES so I can walk my chickens. Haven't purchased one yet but seriously considering it! ;) read more

I used to shop at Tempe Feed for quite some, but unfortunately the owners' sons and the owner himself have become difficult to deal with. If you arrive at this shop less than 30 minutes before they close, they will not serve you. The sons no longer greet me and try to give me life advice on how I can serve THEM better. It's unfortunate as I thought they prided themselves on customer service, but clearly they don't care about losing customers who have difficult situations and are doing their best to get through life when working very long hours. It's their way or the highway. read more

I came to Tempe feed last week to check out their layer feed options and prices. Got there a few minutes after they opened. This store is the closest to our house and I was hoping it would become my shop. Plus I like supporting local businesses. The young guy behind the counter wasn't one for conversation and didn't really seem interested in helping other than giving me prices. Maybe I came here too early and caught him before he was fully awake. I did end up buying a small bag though of organic layer feed. Figured we'd try it out on out girls. So far, the girls aren't impressed. The search for a mom and pop feed store continues... read more

My daughter and I have dogs and we were having the hardest time getting them situated. I am not new to having a dog however, you would never know it by the sound of what I've gone through with feeding alone! I tried so many foods and had just about given up when my kind neighbor suggested I go to Tempe Feed. I must say I never encountered a more concerned staff! They are attentive and actually "explain" everything. Arthur is incredible as are the entire family. They make suggestions based on research and even point out the value of the contents needed for healthy growth and lifestyle. We will never go anywhere but Tempe Feed from now on. Incredible family! Incredible service. So sorry I did not find them sooner! read more

Robin & all the staff are incredibly helpful. My elderly foster, now adopted dog, was having massive allergy issues (most likely thx to toxic vaccines ruining her gut) & they have spent what seems like hours answering questions & offering advice on diets. We now have her on Bravo raw that they carry & it's changed her life! Her nonstop itching has entirely subsided, the hair is growing back, her coat is now soft instead of wiry and it seems as though her arthritis has diminished to the point of nonexistent. I highly recommend the digestive enzymes they sell also. I'm happy to send customers their way & love to support local businesses. read more

Best store experience I've ever had. I went in with my new rat terrier puppy and Arthur had such a lovely and informative conversation with us. He coached us on doing a raw diet and gave us lots of helpful tips for doing our own vaccines (which ones, when, how, etc.). He was incredibly generous with samples and highly valuable information. The store itself is adorable and everything is very affordable. My total amount for my purchases was about half what I was expecting. Their stuff is also high quality. I feel so much better supporting a place this friendly and caring than a big box pet store. GO HERE! I will only shop here for all my doggie needs. read more

You can take the girl out of the small town but you can't take the small town out of the girl. I can't say enough about how much I always loved my local feed store. I popped in after driving by a few times on my way to the bank for work. Let's just say I haven't bought dog food or goodies anywhere else since. If you are looking for quality dog food that the box stores don't carry check these guys out. Also great natural dog treats galore! Family owned! Amazing staff!!! Even Better: The walls inside are covered by the pets of their clients. Of course our bosties have their picture up too! Check em out! Thank you Tempe Feed!!! read more

I have never written a review before but I feel compelled to let others know about my experience because I know how difficult it can be to find a trustworthy place for dog food. I was just about to go to Petsmart () when I remembered that my friend told me to check out a local feed store instead, as the prices are cheaper and the food is better quality. I called Tempe Feed first because the reviews were stellar. Arthur answered and I told him what I was looking for. Just over the phone, I felt that he educated me more on the topic than anyone else has ever taken the time to. I went in person right away with my pooch and was greeted by all the helpful staff immediately. I ended up talking to Arthur about my dog's specific needs and he explained everything very thoroughly. I felt that he really cared enough to listen to me without trying to sell me products that I didn't need and even provided me with samples that have worked wonders for my dog. She is no longer gassy and bloated. They even had someone bring the reasonably priced bag of food out to my car. I will 100% be going back and have already recommended them to a few people! Plus it feels amazing to be able to support a local business! read more

I love, love this local go-to spot! I can't say enough about how wonderful Robin is to just chat with and how much she really loves animals, she will no problem have a lengthy conversation with you about food choices and the health of your pet, etcetera- you can tell she really cares and wants to help. I never feel rushed and she is so knowledgeable, I can ask her anything. The rest of the staff have always been really welcoming too, both to me and my doggos. They have really high quality stuff too- for all sorts of different animals. If you have pets and live in Tempe, this is the place to go hands down! read more

I absolutely love this place! The owner and his sons have always been so generous and insightful. I have learned so much more about raw dog foods and keeping my pets healthier! I felt like I was in class and I love that. I feel like they truly care about dogs and that is so appreciated and refreshing when you are trying to do right by yours. Would give a -5 if I could. I am a long time Tempe resident and have shopped here for many, many years and paid more for items I could find cheaper elsewhere but I like to buy local. On several occasions through the years I have overheard the owner, Arthur, being rude and short tempered with customers and to people he was talking to on the phone from his office. Well, today it was my turn. Not to go into specifics but my encounter ended with him yelling "get the fuck out of my store" and several other rude and unkind statements. All over a silly bag of dog food. read more
