Every time I go to Pratts, I'm convinced I'm a bird person. The staff understand ls each pet and can help you figure out what is best for you. Maybe next time I'll actually purchase a ferret, or kitten, or rabbit, or beta, or.....

DO NOT BUY PETS HERE EVER. I would also give them a zero if I could. They sell sick pets. They do not have any compassion for animals or pets. I bought 2 love birds and after not even 2 days the first pet became extremely ill and died. I was told to bring the bird in and exchange with zero acknowledgement understanding or apology. After receiving my 2nd bird my other bird became very ill only a few days after. I had to nurse her for 2 days. I have been a bird mom since I was a child and recently lost a personal pet of 8 years around Christmas - following this recent heart break I decided to bring both the birds back for compensation. The assistant manager finally apologized and after asking what was going on she admitted to me almost all their birds were on antibiotics after veterinary care. That they had bought from a bad breeder. Avoid the heartbreak and NEVER SHOP HERE. Shame oh this store for selling customers sick animals. I was a 1st time customer and love bird owner and now I feel I can never own a love bird again due to this unreal experience. Worst Experience Ever. Prayers to these birds as hard as it was to return them to this place. I hope they survive as it is not their fault of this stores inability to handle animals.

I'd give them a zero if I could. I wish I knew these things when I bought my puppy. I bought a puppy here and 12 months later, after $1200 in bills to diagnose, he needs over $8000 in surgeries related to bilateral hip dysplasia and knee luxations. FOUR DISEASED JOINTS. He has mobility issues and I carry him upstairs at 12 months old. They absolutely COULD help with these vet bills and should do the right thing but the owner refuses and tells me they are only contractually obligated for 60 days after the purchase. It took a year for him to grow and start showing symptoms. They are "asking the breeder to help cover some cost" but I'm still waiting to hear back about that. Shocking. DO NOT BUY THEIR PUPPIES. THEY USE SLOPPY BREEDERS AND A "PUPPY BROKER". YOULL NEVER BE ABLE TO RESEARCH KENNELS ONLINE OR CONTACT ANYONE OTHER THAN THEIR STORE MANAGER WHO RUNS INTERFERENCE. They will not do the right thing and stand behind the animals they sell.

I was put on a waiting list for ferrets and I'm proud to say that my ferrets kits are doing well and are healthy. Lovely staff that handled me being impatient and calling every few days to check on a shipment of the kits. Lol The store is clean and lively with other animals like snakes, birds, and other rodent animals if ferrets aren't to your taste. Lots of options on food, bedding and other costomisable cage items as well. Just a lovely store in general and would highly recommend.

We got our Bruce from this location. Told us there was a 2 week wait for ferrets and they called us back in 2 days. Lady that sold Bruce to us was so kind and helpful and knowledge - he's our first so it was nice to talk to someone who knew what they were talking about. He's the best

This place is ridiculous and does not take care of their animals. All the birds had dirty water. Yes there is more than one bird in there so the water can dirty faster but give me a break. The bearded dragons.... Poor babies all looked sick and the way their poop appears in their cage .... gross. My own bearded dragon pooped like that and the vet said it had parasites. Based on my knowledge of bearded dragons, I can safely assume these guys do as well. Dog pee pads for their substrate?!? Come on.... This is SICKENING. I will not buy anything from this store and support animal abuse.

They treat their animals well, they helped me pick out the correct cage for my two new rats and helped me decide on food and toys. Very helpful employees! Absolutely love this location, we also use their vet for shots for my dogs as well and he's super sweet and very inexpensive. Thank you Mesa Pratt's, by far the best location they have!

Lindsay, thank you for restoring my faith in humanity. We wanted to support a local business and so glad we did! Called this store asking about hamsters and explained the age of my kids and how the hamster would be living in my 9 year olds room. She told me what she had and suggested gerbils. She took the time to explain to me the differences between the two animals. She was knowledgeable, thoughtful and kind. When we arrived, she made an effort to accommodate us. We were a little late, because the 2 gerbils she had on hand, had already been spoken for. I could tell she felt terrible and thanked her for her kindness and thoughtfulness. She Ossis she had more gerbils coming in the next day. No problem. She offered to meet us half way - we live in Cave Creek. Who does that!? Lindsay does! I did not take her up on the offer, because there was no need. Just the thought filled my heart with joy. We received a phone that the baby gerbils had arrived and what colors. We said we would be there by 3. When we got there, the gerbils were waiting for us and my daughters were able to pick which ones they wanted to take home. We left all left fulfilled! Thank you Lindsay for taking the time to explain gerbils to us and for going the extra mile. It won't go unnoticed or unappreciated. You have left a memorable impact on all of us! We'll keep in touch and send you pics of the progress! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for from the bottom of our hearts!

I absolutely LOVE this place!…read more From my very first visit a few years ago with my giant English Mastiff (200 lbs ) to our now bi-weekly routine, this self-wash has been nothing short of amazing! The wash bays easily accommodate his size with room to spare, and their recent remodel made everything even better--more stations and great updates all around. One thing I really appreciate is that there's no extra charge for large dogs, which is "huge" for owners of giant breeds. And every time, the staff kindly offers an extra towel to help get him dried off--such a thoughtful touch! The team here is always friendly and helpful. They walked me through everything on my first visit and recommended products tailored to his skin and coat. We now use the de-shed conditioner and I can honestly say--I notice the difference at home... and so does my vacuum He always comes out looking and smelling great. Sometimes we even add a few spritzes of the doggie cologne when available--such a fun bonus! And of course, no visit is complete without him "convincing" me to grab one of their adorable gourmet dog treats at checkout. They're so cute and perfect for pictures or just spoiling your fur baby a little extra. For my budget-conscious friends--Tuesdays are half-off self-service washes (which is amazing!), just keep in mind it can get a bit busy, especially if it falls on a holiday. Lastly, I have to give major kudos to the staff for maintaining such a clean and sanitary environment. You can truly see the effort they put into cleaning each station thoroughly--it makes a big difference and gives me peace of mind bringing my dog here. Highly recommend this place to any dog owner--especially those with big pups!

    Fuzzy Paws Pet Salon

I took my older dog to this pet salon for grooming yesterday, hoping for a positive experience…read more From the start, the groomer was not the friendliest and seemed irritated when I asked about different cut options. As someone who isn't familiar with grooming blade lengths, I was expecting a little guidance, but instead, I got attitude. When I picked up my dog, he looked fine at first glance, so I paid and even tipped. However, once we got home, I noticed a trail of blood and found a cut on his back foot. It's hard to believe the groomer didn't see this before handing him back to me. Either they ignored it, or they just weren't paying attention--neither of which is acceptable when working with animals. There was another groomer I saw who was more kind/welcoming but overall just not a good first experience and I won't be returning.

Our dog has been groomed twice with no issue before and she always came out looking spectacular…read more (see the picture) We brought our Golden Doodle (Daisy Mae) to Fuzzy Paws at a friends recommendation. First let me say our Doodle is brushed every day and her hair is fluffy and curly which means you cannot just run a brush or comb through it and she was bathed by us just two days ago. Here is the brush that is used everyday by us: https://www.petsmart.com/dog/grooming-supplies/brushes-combs-and-blowdryers/only-natural-pet-pin-bristle-dog-brush-58150.html I'm wrong but the definition of matted hair doesn't mean you are unable to run a comb through it with no resistance like clean and straight human hair. So about 10 minutes after we drop her off we get a call that her legs are matted and the areas behind her legs are also matted so they need to shave her down to of an inch. The grooming had already started on her body so it was my understanding that we had a couple of options: 1) Not groom her legs, 2) take her as she was, 3) let the grooming continue. Hind sight being perfect we should have had them stop immediately when they said she was matted and gone to pick up our dog. We are not pleased with the outcome as can be seen from the attached photos showing grooming completed by another groomer in May of 2025, a picture before she went to Fuzzy Paws, and when she came home from Fuzzy Paws. Our guess is that they don't want to take the time and do the job correctly but rather say the dog is matted shave them and move on to the next paying customer.
