Lisa and Aspen were so helpful when I found two stray huskies and wanted to spread the word, and also find them healthy affordable dog food while I took care of them until we found their home. They helped me fill out a found pet card, printed the photos of the dogs and gave me suggestions on what to do and where to go to try and find their home. Lisa was able to suggest a great dog food that was well rounded and protein filled for all age dogs (as I didn't know how old these huskies were) The dogs loved the food and their help helped me find their owners the next day! read more

don't ever take your dogs to groom here. They are so rude to the dogs. They mistreat the dogs and they also mistreat the people. I just went asking for my dog to get a groomed. I made an appointment in the morning for a touchup and the girl was trying to call me dumb and say I did it and kept reinforcing me to reschedule, but I didn't want to she was being rude. This time my parents took their 1 year old miniature poodle to the groomers. Where to begin. They said she wasn't that breed and that the cost would be higher. Never use this PetSmart for Pet Hotel or Grooming services, please. We boarded our dog Chewy there for about week while we have been moving houses and they were awful. It was almost $400 for a week of boarding and a "trim" from the groomer which looked HORRIBLE. I'll put a picture below. The pet boarding building doesn't even look nice at all. You folks had my dog in your care for 2 1/2 hrs. She was at the Tempe Market Place facility. She was there for a bath and nail trim. When I picked her up she was panting with her tongue hanging out like she had been on a 10 mile hike. When I drove her the 10 minutes to our house. She ran to her water bowl and drank her fill for at least a minute. This leads me to believe that you don't provide your guests access to water! The grooming salon is very unfriendly and refuses to take rescue cats. For a place that honors rescues they won't take your cat for a grooming appointment, even if your cat has all current vaccinations. The lady called my cat a threat to other cats because she might be sick. Petsmart lost a customer today and I have been shopping here for years. It's so frustrating that their vet can tell me your cat is fine and not at risk to other cats. But then on the other hand their groomers will actually call your pet a threat to other cats. This is my normal PetSmart. Nothing fancy. I like to bring my daughter here to see all the dogs people bring. We dont have a dog but she is getting used to them. Sometimes the adoption zone is looking pretty grim with nobody around (not that I needed someone). Employees ask if you need help. Only thing I wish was that there were samples on occasion. This review is in regards to Sydney in the petsmart grooming salon. Her behavior was completely unprofessional. I've been bringing my pup to get groomed every couple months. The last experience was with Sydney in which there's was an issue in what my expectations were for grooming. She gave very short answers with no explanation. As I further inquired, she was very inpatient and started to argue with me. Instead of rectifying the situation, she persisted to argue with me regarding the salon service while I maintained a calm tone. Later when I called to check on my pup and asked to speak to her, she initially refused to speak to me, stating she was busy instead of saying she will call me back. Upon getting to the appt, I was told they couldn't accept the rabies record because it doesn't have the expiration date and I should call the people that gave the shot so they could verify the expiration date. I explained that we adopted from a shelter and it would be difficult to track down the vet that administered the shot. I pointed out that the paper I brought in l, specified the shot date in June of this year and at the very least, rabies shots are good for at least a year. That June date means that the shot my puppy got is only 3 months old, but Petsmart wouldn't honor the appt. Petco gets our business now! read more

Disappointed in my grooming experience. Brought my dog here about 2 weeks ago. When I picked up my dog everything initially seemed fine. They ended up cutting him shorter than we discussed at the beginning but stated that they needed to due to a couple mats in his fur; this was fine with me and not a big deal. We got our dog home and noticed he kept biting and licking a couple spots on his belly, butt, and near his genital area. I examined him a little closer and noticed he had multiple razor cut marks on his body. I understand that mistakes happen but he had 4 obvious cut marks from the clippers and I was not informed of these when we picked him up. 2 weeks later his is still bothered by these cuts. For $100 I would expect a higher lever of care and professionalism. read more

Absolutely horrid employees. They accused me of theft. Let me explain. I wasn't even in this particular Pet Smart at the time of the incident I'm about to lay out! I was in my car after finishing shopping in another store (about 3 stores away so it was somewhat close by). All of a sudden, a Pet Smart employee is banging on my window. She harshly accuses me of leaving Pet Smart with a friend without paying. She has absolutely no proof and knew nothing about me other than the color of my skin, so she racially profiled me. She could've even asked for a receipt, and I wouldn't have been as mad. Anyway, I tell her I was alone and didn't even go to Pet Smart. She walks a little bit away. I pull out of my parking spot; as I try to leave, she blocks the road! So dangerous for the both of us. She does not leave until some other lady points to a different car (I can't hear what they are saying). I believe this was another employee because I checked and the store had recently closed around the time of this incident. To make matters worse, I contact the manager and after telling him what happened, he says "I have no recollection of that" (of course you don't, you weren't there and you're employees aren't going to fess up) and "I will talk to my team IF that happened" (I am telling you it DID happen). Disappointing on all levels. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I've been to other Pet Smarts, so I know there's better out there. I would never shop in a place with rude and hostile employees like this, and I suggest you don't either. read more

PetSmart on Stapley has traumatized my poor little doggy. It's been a week and she still hasn't been herself. We will never go back there and I wish to file a complaint. In the dead of winter they shaved all her hair off and clipped her private part. All she does since the service is shake and cry. She came home with an allergic reaction, scratching and just not the same dog. PetSmart ruined Christmas for us having to find ways to treat and soothe her. Dropped my dog off for his grooming appointment! First I'll say the app make air easy to make an appointment! They call you the day before to confirm your appointment! You can check in on your phone and make sure the records for your per are up to date awesome. The ladies are very friendly and genuinely enjoy taking care of your per. This helps you feel comfortable leaving your pet (part of your family) with them. They tell you a time and they are spot on! I was told 2 hours and it was 2 hours for pick up. They call you, email or text you when your per is ready and you can pay in the app when the link is sent over or you can go inside and pay for service and pick up your pet! This review is of the pets hotel. I traveled to Mesa from CA with my 9 month old boxer. While here we decided to go to the river for the day on Saturday. I didn't want to leave him in a unfamiliar place all day. I called the pets hotel on Thursday and they were able to schedule is day care stay for Saturday. Everyone over the phone was extremely friendly and helpful. Since I was coming from out of state they even called my very to confirm proper vaccines. Upon arriving to the hotel everyone who treated us was happy to see me and my dog and treated him with enthusiasm. He spent the day there and can't home happy. They sent home a little progress report that was a little cute as well. Pricing was more than reasonable. I will definitely be using them everytime we visit and go to the river for the day. read more

I brought my kitten in for a "kitten brush and wash" and she came out awful!! I was told she was a little damp but that she was so good for the groomer! I came and picked her up, took her out of her carrier and she was SOAKED from the middle of her body down to her back feet. She was also ratted everywhere and when I got home I had to brush her out myself. She was shaking profusely, and meowing the whole ride home, which she NEVER does cause she loves car rides. I picked up my sick dog after boarding at the pet hotel. They tried to tell me that my dog had some diarrhea from anxiety. I've never seen my dog sick in the year and a half I have owned him and this is his age as well. Within a couple days my dog was at the Veterinarian and diagnosed with Kennel Cough and a GI infection. My Vet bill cost more than the boarding. Some of the worst service I have had!! I brought my 3 dogs in for grooming and their lack of communication caused the worst service!! If you follow policy, you follow all of them, not just ones you choose. I responded to the survey they sent and the store manager Matt called me to talk about my review. I do believe that when you want to hear what someone has to say, you listen and you don't interrupt. Try to listen and not be rude and when the consumer is done, you give your feedback and the respect goes both ways... nope, not this guy, you can't talk, only he can and so not only was the grooming experience bad but when he called, I called him out on his own statements that he wouldn't own, so he made the whole experience even worse!! Perhaps a customer training course should be taken for these managers before they are given the role!! His last question he had while interrupting me was " is there anything else I can do for you?", oh wait, he interrupted me to ask that question so he could end the call!! My boyfriend and I would bring our two pups here at Banfield to be seen. We lived close by, but due to unforeseen circumstances we had to move about 40min away and we still had an appointment set that we didn't want to cancel since our puppies needed routine checkups that we didn't want to miss. During one of the drives to this location, we didn't realize a part of the 60 was shut down which was going to delay us and make us a couple minutes late to the appointment. When we were about 5 minutes away, we decided to call to let them know we were still on our way. All we could hear on the other end was constant laughing and no response on whether or not our pups would still be able to be seen. We were still on hold and on the phone with them when we arrived and still within time of the appointment. When we showed up, the lady at the desk gave us attitude for being LITERALLY 2 minutes late. Like sorry lady. We tried calling but ya'll were just laughing and talking on the other end and left us on hold when we were doing our best to be communicative and let you know we were still coming. The lady at the front desk said that our dogs would have to stay for a couple of hours to be seen and we were okay with that since we had plans to do other things. Next thing we know, she comes back and says "never mind your appointment is cancelled for showing up late". LATE? We tried calling and communicating and we really were only a couple minutes late. As much as I appreciated the staff that tended to our babies before, I did not appreciate the attitude the lady at the desk gave us. She told us to come back another weekend. One of my pups was supposed to be seen that day for an infection and in turn you guys ignored our phone conversation and turned us away. I left absolutely furious, but I kept my mouth shut because it wasn't worth the argument over something so idiotic. BYE!!! read more

I got my dog groomed here a few times before but this most recent time was just awful. I got the deluxe package on top on the normal grooming and when i dropped my dog off they felt around her ears for knots since she has long hair and found a little one then I asked how long it would take which they replies 2 maybe 3 hours. At about 3.5 hours of them having her, they still were not done saying it'll be another 45 to an hour and they kept a saying my dog didn't like the dryer. First of all, my dog has never had an issue with it and even if she didn't - what does that have to do with keeping my dog for OVER 5 1/2 HOURS!!! Once I got my dog back she did smell good but she did not look groomed at all and still had the knots. The deluxe package comes with teeth brushing, her breathe was still awful. The deluxe even said she would have a bow/bandana. Nothing... Don't even think she has received a trim and was just in a crate for most the time. This is ridiculous and very disappointed petsmart. Over 5.5 hours for what it seems to be a basic wash when in that time I expected her to be the most perfectly groomed dog. Bullshit and get it together. read more
