I cannot stress enough how amazing this place is. I have been bringing my dog, Cheese, here for over two years. When we walk in, we are greeted, welcomed, and it's to the point where they recognize my car as well! The dogs are well taken care of, and I really trust my dog to stay here at any given point. I bought my house in Dobson Ranch, and I have to say that staying near this Camp Bow Wow was a factor! I have recommended this place to my dog-park friends, and they all have had great success. Yes, making an interview and making sure you have everything in place takes some effort, BUT it assures me that all of the other dogs are also vetted well, creating a very good environment that I can trust. They are strict when it comes to vaccinations, cleaning, and temperament, but it just ensures the quality of the care that the dogs are given. Cheese has had birthdays here, grooming, enrichments, and just love from the people taking care of the dogs. (She loves to sit on the blue play toy and get scratches from any human walking by). I need to have work done at my house so i was looking for a day care. I called and had a long conversation with one of the employees. She said that they did have room on the day i requested and we could absolutely bring them in on that day but the dogs would need to come in for an evaluation and pass the next day at 1:00. I filled out the applications that night and sent in the vet records the next morning. My husband rearranged his schedule and took three dogs in at the time i was told by their employee only to be told they didn't have any record of the dogs coming in. They made time and two of our pups passed. The fact they made time is the only reason they have two stars instead of one. I called the next day to verify the appointment for day care for the two that passed and was told there was no record of the request and they were full. I now will incur charges for canceling last minute with a contractor. I'm sure this is just poor training but there are real consequences when employees verbally agree to things then don't act. read more

The staff knew my buddy's name after his first day and he was so excited to see them the next day that I brought him! They're very thorough about making sure the dog is a good fit and making them (and the owners) feel comfortable. The staff went over how they're different than other daycares and any questions or concerns that I might have. They're got cameras so you can watch your doggie play all day long! They would not do the interview because they couldn't find all of her records of shots vetco told me my girl didn't need her bordelo shot until September . Vetco was wrong . This place however is extremely strict on their rules . No flexibility on schedule they don't care how many times you have to take off work to meet THEIR criteria . They need to be more flexible or they just don't care about their clients . Makes me wonder if they will care for my baby . Brought my 6 month old dog in for an interview. He spent a total of 10 min there and they said he was too shy. Yes I'm very aware of that, he a puppy who spent the first 4 months of his life locked in a cage before I rescued him. They put him in with a dog who kept jumping in his face and said my dad was overwhelmed. Yes you would be too if someone was jumping in your face. The lady who was "interviewing" my dog was outside smoking when I got there, then as we were leaving went right back to smoking. Seemed like we were just bothering her and she wanted to get back to smoking so she ended the interview. They offered to do another interview but at this point it's not worth it. If you are only going to give the dog 10 min, obviously they are going to be shy and nervous. Give them time to warm up. Walking in, the smell was terrible. I understand it's a place with lots of dogs, but it shouldn't smell like dog poop the minute you walk in. Honestly glad my pup was too shy. read more

Was excited to try this place and it definitely lived up to my expectations! Staff is very welcoming and seem to genuinely care about your pet and their safety. Went in for an "interview" for the doggy daycare, which lasted about 15 minutes, but you are normally expected to stay for an hour. After that you leave, your pup stays behind for at least 3 hours to see how they acclimate to the new environment. They provide you with an app that allows you to view the security cameras inside the daycare so you can check-in on your pup whenever! Every time I checked, there was an employee present in the gated area monitoring all of the dogs. The cameras are my favorite part, and make me feel so much more secure knowing I can watch whenever to make sure he is receiving the best treatment! He was absolutely exhausted after 3 hours of play time and didn't move a muscle the entire evening! So excited to keep coming back! read more

After touring and trying many other daycare/boarding facilities in the East valley, Camp Bow Wow felt safe and fun right away. I like how the dogs are broken up in different rooms according to size for safety. I love that they have an individual room that they can take rest breaks in and call their own overnight (for boarding). They even give them a "campfire treat" at bedtime. I love that they can go outside as well! The cameras give me extra confidence that my dog is having a blast and is safe. He comes home exhausted and with the biggest smile on his face. It's also amazing that they have a groomer and now a trainer there for additional services. I would recommend this place 100 times over to anybody that needs daycare or boarding services for their dog. Your dog will need to pass an entrance interview to ensure that he/she is ready for social playtime with the other dogs. After that, they will play the day away and have the time of their lives! I've taken my fur baby, Atlas Jayce at Camp Bow Wow for doggy day camp and for grooming services. I was in tears when I was dropping him off since this was the first time I had him stay overnight for an extended period. The staff was so understanding and reassured me that he was going to be well taken care of during my absence. Instead of taking him away from me immediately they insisted I hold him until they were done checking him in. Although I cried again I knew that he was good hands (the staff is super friendly and attentive). The doggy cams helped soothe some of my anxiety and I was over the over the moon when I received a picture of him during my time away. Seeing Atlas with his smile made my heart smile. This is the only day care that we have felt 100% comfortable bringing our dog to. He is a 1 year old, 10 pound Shih Tzu. Its nice that they (mostly) separate the large and small dogs. They are also EXTREMELY friendly and seem to truly care about your animals. From Hendry's first day, Ashton has taken amazing care of him and will typically know who I am when I call in. The owner was there on our first day and she did an amazing intake making my fiancee and I feel right at home. When I picked him up he didn't smell at all! I had been to a different daycare for some time and each time I picked him up I had to hold my breath from the smell of urine. He always smelt so bad that I had to give him a bath at the self wash (which was an extra charge) just because he was so dirty before leaving. I didn't have this issue at camp bow wow!! This place does not have any staff in the building for 12 hours over night and does not inform dog owners of this unless explicitly asked. If I had known this I would have never left my dog there overnight. What is the point of PAYING for someone to watch my dog overnight when I could leave him at home by himself rather than just a tiny cage? I asked the staff what would happen if I dog got sick overnight becuase there is no supervision and was informed "well I guess we would just find out in the morning and call you then." Completely unacceptable if you ask me. When I'm paying to have my dog stay somewhere overnight I would really expect to at least have someone in the building or at the very least be INFORMED of this when I drop him off. read more

I love this place! The staff is friendly and the owner is truly kind and caring. Your able to drop your dog off at 6:30am and pick them up as late as 7:30pm. They have cameras so you can watch your dog all day on their free app. If you have your dog board over night, they have a cots in their room to sleep on with a blanket and if you upgrade their stay you can watch them sleep and take a break in their room. (That has a tv, may I mind you) I will always go to Camp Bow Wow when I have to leave my dog in her crate for longer that 5 hours, they are the best! read more

Love this place! Everyone is so sweet- from the front desk to the "camp counselors", all amazing! My pup has a blast and gets to exhaust some of that puppy energy, win/win! I work from home but still try to take him once a week for a play day. The live webcams are also great, it's nice being able to check in on him throughout the day.
