I have had the pleasure of taking my doggo to Camp Bow Wow on Baseline Rd in Mesa for 6 years this month, almost since the first day they opened. Ashtyn, the manager is Juno's 2nd favorite human next to me! Whenever Juno has any issues with other dogs, I receive a phone call directly to let me know. If I have any concerns, Ashtyn is so responsive in addressing my issues. My dog helped get me through the death of my husband and she means everything to me. I trust her with very few humans but I completely trust everyone at Camp Bow Wow. They just have a special way of treating every dog like their own. Looking for a place that will care for your dog? We absolutely love Camp Bow Wow Dobson Ranch! Our boy Blitze is always so excited to go--he can't wait to run in and start playing he jumps out of the window to run in. The customer service is amazing, and every staff member is incredibly sweet, genuinely kind, and clearly cares about each and every camper. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing Blitze is in such loving hands. When we pick him up, he's all smiles and happily tired out from a full day of fun. You can truly tell how much love and attention they give the dogs here. Highly recommend Camp Bow Wow Dobson Ranch!! read more

I do recommend bringing your dog to Camp Bow Wow Dobson Ranch, everyone is very professional and friendly. The only thing I wish they had was a room just for older dogs so they could hang out or maybe after a little while with the other dogs they can go lay down in a room to rest. As they get older its hard for them to stand around all day. My dog is getting older so its kinda hard for her so I don't take her as often. But for younger dogs its a great place. read more

Julie and her team at Camp Bow Wow Dobson Ranch are truly exceptional. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth, professionalism, and genuine love they have for every dog that comes through their doors. The facility is clean, safe, and full of joyful energy. What sets this location apart is the trust they build with both pets and their owners. The staff takes the time to understand each dog's personality, needs, and play style. They go above and beyond to ensure your pup not only feels safe but has a blast while there! You can tell they treat each dog like family. They also have amazing events!! It's Pupchella right now . Julie is a remarkable leader who runs this franchise with integrity, kindness, and excellence. I've seen firsthand how much thought she puts into the care of every dog. I wouldn't trust my dog with anyone else. If you're looking for a place where your dog will be loved, cared for, and treated like royalty, this is it. They are the best and if you walk in, you will see it for yourself! read more

Place is disgusting. Constantly claim that they don't have enough staff to support all the dogs playing together as groups so will put dogs in kennel like cells. On video you can see them pee and poop with no supervision in there. Would not recommend anyone sending their dog here. read more

After 6 years as a loyal customer, I lost $600 when the manager took her personal anger out on my dogs. When I asked to review camera footage they locked me from my own account then the owner even served me with an injunction against harassment simply because I posted an honest Yelp review. That should tell you everything you need to know about how this business operates. Dogs can't speak for themselves, so I am speaking for them: this is not a safe or ethical place. You can find better care elsewhere--places where honesty, compassion, and respect for both people and pets actually matter. Dishonest and greedy. Your dogs deserve better. read more

We love camp bow wow! I've been taking my dog Hershey here since he was just a puppy 3 years ago! The staff is amazing and Julie is great- she has the biggest heart. Camp Bow Wow Review - Discriminatory Practices and Retaliation" I want to warn others about my experience with Camp Bow Wow. I purchased over $600 in packages for dog care services, only to be banned from the facility without a valid reason. They refused to provide services or issue a refund. When I left a truthful review describing my experience, they hired a law firm to send me a cease and desist letter, attempting to silence me. This is a clear violation of my First Amendment rights and an unethical practice to avoid accountability. If a business doesn't want to receive negative reviews, they should treat customers with fairness and respect, rather than resorting to harassment and retaliation. Beware of how Camp Bow Wow treats its customers. If they're willing to target me like this, it could happen to anyone. Handler of Louis and Vuitton French Bulldogs/ service dogs read more

Omg no! Took a tour of this place but was treated so poorly by the manager and owner I would never risk putting my baby in their care. Literally would take my dog anywhere else. They literally need to send their owner and manager to basic level community college courses in business and customer service. I would pay to keep them away from my dog. The worst. read more

I love Camp Bow Wow! More importantly Cooper Monkey loves it too. If you say, "Doggie Daycare, Camp Bow Wow, water park Wednesday " he jumps up and down and waggy tails! He loves all of his counselors. They all know him by name and make me feel really secure that he is safe and cared for and loved. . Ashton (I think she is mgr) is a rock star. Whenever I have a question she will take the time to talk to me. She lets me know how Coop is doing (he has some "issues" but haven't we all) and makes sure everyone is safe and happy and socializing. His behavior has improved so much through his camp friends and counselors!!! All the folks there are great! We have done daycare. Overnights and grooming. All top notch. I've tried a LOT of daycares in the area and this is the only place I take my boy. Thank you for taking such great care of him (sorry I didn't crop the photos yikes) read more

I cannot stress enough how amazing this place is. I have been bringing my dog, Cheese, here for over two years. When we walk in, we are greeted, welcomed, and it's to the point where they recognize my car as well! The dogs are well taken care of, and I really trust my dog to stay here at any given point. I bought my house in Dobson Ranch, and I have to say that staying near this Camp Bow Wow was a factor! I have recommended this place to my dog-park friends, and they all have had great success. Yes, making an interview and making sure you have everything in place takes some effort, BUT it assures me that all of the other dogs are also vetted well, creating a very good environment that I can trust. They are strict when it comes to vaccinations, cleaning, and temperament, but it just ensures the quality of the care that the dogs are given. Cheese has had birthdays here, grooming, enrichments, and just love from the people taking care of the dogs. (She loves to sit on the blue play toy and get scratches from any human walking by). The cameras make for a great check in and peace of mind. 10/10, will be back at least once a week at LEAST! read more

I absolutely love camp bow wow. I had to go on a business trip for 2 weeks, I cried when I dropped off my boy, but the person at the counter sat down next to me and comforted me. I felt like an idiot crying, but she made me feel much better. I recommend for anyone looking for a daycare. read more

Julie, Ashton and the rest of the staff at Camp Bow Wow/Dobson Ranch are AMAZING! We've been taking our 2 Golden Retrievers there for daycare and overnight boarding since just after they opened almost 4 years ago. We have always experienced the best care and love for our kids. We've watched them on camera and they've always been treated with love and care. The place is always clean and the staff is friendly. Highly recommend trusting your family members (furry ones) to Julie and her staff. read more

This boarding facility is by far the best in the valley. The care they have given our special needs boy is outstanding. The staff are absolutely wonderful, caring and attentive to every need Yogi has. Clean, professional, and everything else you need to give you peace of mind when leaving your fur babies for the day and night. Julie and her amazing team go above and beyond to provide the best service you could ever imagine. We are so thank full to each and every one of you. One huge bonus is you can check on your pup all hours of the day with their camp cameras. So you have peace of mind and can see how much fun they are having while they are there. Julie Steinmyer is dangerous! unbelievable she purposely delayed contact me back so it'll pass the refund of 90-day date and then she admitted she's discriminatory against me because I'm disabled do not go there and please do not take your dogs there try any other place but there can't bow Wow even if the employees are good the management and ownership is terrible they're racist and discriminatory.t's been an awful awful experience. Not just for me emotionally and mentally and physically for my dogs too but also for my elderly mother who lives in Oklahoma on a fixed income sacrifice to buy a 10 full day membership for my dogs that camp bow wow won't let us use but won't refund her money! This causes stress to me and my family also to my dogs! Every dog owner knows your dog feels what you feel. So my dogs are suffering.. staring at me waiting for this Camp to do what Julie said it would do 5 months ago & still hasn't -refund the card they have on file. I'm ignored every time! They were quick to take the $700 when I bought the two packages ! This doesn't seem like something a person who cares about our dogs. They wouldn't want to put stress on the owners like this! Tried contacting Camp bow Wow after the response to my review.. left messages..no response. If they don't take responsibility for the harm they inflicted on my family..it's unlikely they care about your pets. Not looking to good for Camp bow wow. read more

I appreciate that the staff are friendly & professional. As soon as you walk in, the staff greet you and your pet by name. The establishment walking into the doors is clean and smells fresh. The enrichment activities for the pets are a blast, there is always something special going on weekly to keep your pet engaged. I also value that I am able to login and see my pets playing with there pet playmates and watch the staff interacting with them. I can't get enough seeing the pictures and posts of all the happy faces from the pets, my fur babies particularly love story time snuggle time. All of the fur babies have so much fun, including my own (Dolly & Dixy). I wouldn't think of taking my girls any place else for boarding or daycare. I love Camp Bow Wow 10 stars hands down all the way. read more

My dog and I love this place! They've got some great package deals and lots of funsies for the doggos! The staff knew my buddy's name after his first day and he was so excited to see them the next day that I brought him! They're very thorough about making sure the dog is a good fit and making them (and the owners) feel comfortable. The staff went over how they're different than other daycares and any questions or concerns that I might have. They're got cameras so you can watch your doggie play all day long! It was truly a great place for my dog to play and make new friends. They even gave him a little treat and posted a picture of him to their social media on his birthday. Too precious! read more

My pup really enjoys going to camp! I always receive excellent service from the staff. They are just as happy to see him as he is to see them. I need to have work done at my house so i was looking for a day care. I called and had a long conversation with one of the employees. She said that they did have room on the day i requested and we could absolutely bring them in on that day but the dogs would need to come in for an evaluation and pass the next day at 1:00. I filled out the applications that night and sent in the vet records the next morning. My husband rearranged his schedule and took three dogs in at the time i was told by their employee only to be told they didn't have any record of the dogs coming in. They made time and two of our pups passed. The fact they made time is the only reason they have two stars instead of one. I called the next day to verify the appointment for day care for the two that passed and was told there was no record of the request and they were full. I now will incur charges for canceling last minute with a contractor. I'm sure this is just poor training but there are real consequences when employees verbally agree to things then don't act. read more

Brought my 6 month old dog in for an interview. He spent a total of 10 min there and they said he was too shy. Yes I'm very aware of that, he a puppy who spent the first 4 months of his life locked in a cage before I rescued him. They put him in with a dog who kept jumping in his face and said my dad was overwhelmed. Yes you would be too if someone was jumping in your face. The lady who was "interviewing" my dog was outside smoking when I got there, then as we were leaving went right back to smoking. Seemed like we were just bothering her and she wanted to get back to smoking so she ended the interview. They offered to do another interview but at this point it's not worth it. If you are only going to give the dog 10 min, obviously they are going to be shy and nervous. Give them time to warm up. Walking in, the smell was terrible. I understand it's a place with lots of dogs, but it shouldn't smell like dog poop the minute you walk in. Honestly glad my pup was too shy. read more

I've been to the bow wow on Indian school outstanding place . This location I will post a second review after my girl has been here. I had a interview set for today took off work for it. They would not do the interview because they couldn't find all of her records of shots vetco told me my girl didn't need her bordelo shot until September . Vetco was wrong . This place however is extremely strict on their rules . No flexibility on schedule they don't care how many times you have to take off work to meet THEIR criteria . They need to be more flexible or they just don't care about their clients . Makes me wonder if they will care for my baby . Like I said the one on Indian school is flexible and will work with you . read more

After touring and trying many other daycare/boarding facilities in the East valley, Camp Bow Wow felt safe and fun right away. I like how the dogs are broken up in different rooms according to size for safety. I love that they have an individual room that they can take rest breaks in and call their own overnight (for boarding). They even give them a "campfire treat" at bedtime. I love that they can go outside as well! The cameras give me extra confidence that my dog is having a blast and is safe. He comes home exhausted and with the biggest smile on his face. It's also amazing that they have a groomer and now a trainer there for additional services. I would recommend this place 100 times over to anybody that needs daycare or boarding services for their dog. Your dog will need to pass an entrance interview to ensure that he/she is ready for social playtime with the other dogs. After that, they will play the day away and have the time of their lives! Take a look at their website to make sure your dog is up to date of the required vaccinations as well. read more

Was excited to try this place and it definitely lived up to my expectations! Staff is very welcoming and seem to genuinely care about your pet and their safety. Went in for an "interview" for the doggy daycare, which lasted about 15 minutes, but you are normally expected to stay for an hour. After that you leave, your pup stays behind for at least 3 hours to see how they acclimate to the new environment. They provide you with an app that allows you to view the security cameras inside the daycare so you can check-in on your pup whenever! Every time I checked, there was an employee present in the gated area monitoring all of the dogs. The cameras are my favorite part, and make me feel so much more secure knowing I can watch whenever to make sure he is receiving the best treatment! He was absolutely exhausted after 3 hours of play time and didn't move a muscle the entire evening! So excited to keep coming back! read more

I've taken my fur baby, Atlas Jayce at Camp Bow Wow for doggy day camp and for grooming services. I was in tears when I was dropping him off since this was the first time I had him stay overnight for an extended period. The staff was so understanding and reassured me that he was going to be well taken care of during my absence. Instead of taking him away from me immediately they insisted I hold him until they were done checking him in. Although I cried again I knew that he was good hands (the staff is super friendly and attentive). The doggy cams helped soothe some of my anxiety and I was over the over the moon when I received a picture of him during my time away. Seeing Atlas with his smile made my heart smile. I know without a doubt that I left my fur son at the best accommodations. The staff treats Atlas like one of their own! I love this place!!! read more

My dog just spent her first two full days at camp. She had an amazing time and didn't want to leave at the end of each day. This is the only day care that we have felt 100% comfortable bringing our dog to. He is a 1 year old, 10 pound Shih Tzu. Its nice that they (mostly) separate the large and small dogs. They are also EXTREMELY friendly and seem to truly care about your animals. From Hendry's first day, Ashton has taken amazing care of him and will typically know who I am when I call in. The owner was there on our first day and she did an amazing intake making my fiancee and I feel right at home. They sent an incredibly personal email for his birthday and he's playing there right now! Oh, and its always an added bonus when you can watch your pups on the doggy cams! read more

I haven't brought my fury boys to this doggy day care. However, I was plant shopping at the nursery right next door. I could hear several dogs barking outside. What I found disturbing , was that there was a female staff member at the dogs "SHUT UP" several times. I made a comment to the employee of the nursery as I was checking out. That's not nice to yell at the dogs like that. He replied. Well dogs bark. That's what dogs do. It was female voice. It was mid morning. During the week. About a month ago. Every time I drive by. I remember those dogs getting yelled at. There's no darn way I would ever allow anyone to yell at my dogs like that ever!!! Does the cameras capture this too? For those doggy parents to see and hear that? Yea, I wouldn't bring my boys there. read more

Extremely happy with the staff at camp bow wow!! I was highly impressed from the second I walked in! So clean and smelt great!! Enjoyed the tour and my pups first day was nothing short of amazing! When I picked him up he didn't smell at all! I had been to a different daycare for some time and each time I picked him up I had to hold my breath from the smell of urine. He always smelt so bad that I had to give him a bath at the self wash (which was an extra charge) just because he was so dirty before leaving. I didn't have this issue at camp bow wow!! My pup was so worn out and happy from playing all day. Highly recommend!! read more

This place does not have any staff in the building for 12 hours over night and does not inform dog owners of this unless explicitly asked. If I had known this I would have never left my dog there overnight. What is the point of PAYING for someone to watch my dog overnight when I could leave him at home by himself rather than just a tiny cage? I asked the staff what would happen if I dog got sick overnight becuase there is no supervision and was informed "well I guess we would just find out in the morning and call you then." Completely unacceptable if you ask me. When I'm paying to have my dog stay somewhere overnight I would really expect to at least have someone in the building or at the very least be INFORMED of this when I drop him off. read more

I've taken my two dogs to the Camp Bow Wow in Avondale for years with no issues. When trying to take them here I brought them in for an interview, and it didn't go well. Admittedly they were not well behaved that day. So I worked with them on their behavior and social issues for quite a long while. Returned for an interview with one dog, and this time watched the TV like a hawk during the interview process. I saw no signs of concern for the whole 30 minutes, save for the conditions of the interview. The interview was in a separated room, and on the other side of the fence were about 30 dogs with very high energy (I get it, it's a fun place!). But right away I could see he was a bit anxious about it. Next, when introducing him to other dogs they held each dog, while the other got a sniff. I had told them numerous times and on the camper paperwork he gets a little anxious about prolonged sniffing. The fact they held him (to hide the muzzle, I get it) didn't help. I could see from the camera he didn't like that. Despite this, he seemed mostly uninterested in other dogs. That's normal, he's a people dog as I've told them. After meeting a 3rd dog for about 10 minutes they brought him out front. I was a little surprised that he failed the interview. The reason they gave was he was growling while he was being sniffed (I would in that manner too) but then they mentioned that he made a lunging motion at the other dog. Lie. I watched the whole time and didn't see anything like that. It sounded like they had a bias from the first interview, and they didn't like his grumbling while being sniffed. Even if they decided one day to take my pup for daycare or boarding I'll never give them a dime. I love CBW franchise but this location can kiss my ass. I would think twice about leaving any dog under the care of someone who's own dogs aren't well behaved enough to stay there. After reading the response, my assessment still stands. I'll take them to any other CBW, this isn't a slam on the franchise, just this location. You even called the other location and confirmed they never had a problem, either of them. You're right, I did tell you I don't take him to dog parks. But you should have referenced the e fire statement: I don't like taking any dogs to dog parks. They are a lottery and filled with some of the worst behaved dogs I've seen. I also told you my other pit was attacked as the main reason I don't go to parks. I'm still a bit pissed off of the claim of my dog lunging at another dog. Show me where it happened on the tape and I'll stand corrected. But I didn't see any such thing. And if you just didn't have a good feeling I would have accepted that ok it's face, and still would have taken my business elsewhere but at least would not feel the need to give such a bad review. After all I am just a sucker that knows nothing about dogs, especially my own. And y'all are the experts. This review will extend well beyond Titan. I will NEVER bring ANY of my future dogs to this location. read more
