We had gone there one time before and they did a great job. We took our dog back and asked for the same groomer and they either gave our dog to someone else or he just did a horrible job. We pointed out that our dog has 3 skin tags that need to be clipped around not shaved and not to use a harness because of a collapsed trachea and we picked up our dog who who was shaved completely underneath clear up to his chest and his whole backside and his tail that has never been cut in 13 years was shaved just leaving a puff ball on the end and all 3 skin tags were shaved and left raw and now are all forming scabs to heal. I also was charged 15 more dollars that the last time for the groom. He is a 7 pound maltese who had no mats and just needed a bath and touch up and we were charged $85. It was a horrible experience all the way around. We won't be going back. read more

2 dogs (standard schnauzer and standard schnauzer mix) were very matted and dog fur was overgrown. Their grooming had been neglected for a long time. The groomer cleaned them up very well. When I picked them up they looked totally different. They both had leis around their necks. They looked and smelled delightful. It was a little pricy but they had a lot of work to do to make them presentable. The schnauzer needed to lose her beard and be shaved down almost to the skin. But both dogs seem very happy now. read more

We are visiting the area and our two Yorkies were in need of grooming. Johnny's was able to accommodate both of them on a few days notice and did a fantastic job! Because they are both timid around other dogs, they kept them separated from the other dogs on my request. The business was clean, smelled nice and the customer service was great. The boys were happy when I picked them up. I wish we lived in the area so I could get them done here all the time! Pricing is a bit confusing so read the board and ask questions to be sure you understand what you're ordering/paying for. I paid about 30% more than I usually pay BUT the results were better and the dogs were happier. Money well spent in my opinion. read more

I've taken my shih-tzu pomeranian here twice now for grooms. The first time it was okay, not perfect but acceptable. I went back a second time because of the reasonable prices. But this time I'm not sure what happened. She looks like she got a hack job. There are lots of places on her fur that didn't get touched, her body cut is so uneven and looks rough, and they completely shaved her belly by her genitals to the skin and there is a harsh line. Not excited that I paid $75+ for something I will have to try and fix myself. Think twice before getting a groom here. There is nothing I dislike more than having such an awful experience with a business that I feel I absolutely MUST leave a negative review and share what happened with the world, but here we are. Up until today I was a loyal client of Johnny's for more than 2 years. I bring my dog in regularly, 1-2 times a month. After today, I will never bring my dog back. I'm not sure what's happened recently for such a drastic change in how this business is run, but I absolutely WOULD NOT recommend bringing your pet here. I have 2 close friends who have become regular clients here based on my recommendation, and they will not be bringing their pets back anymore either. Here's a list of how Johnny's failed at every possible opportunity during my very last transaction with them today: 1. I left voicemails & sent booking requests through the website for almost 2 weeks and never received a call back at all, despite receiving texts saying I would. I finally drove there, and scheduled this grooming appointment in person. First availability was 5 days later. Fine. 2. Arrived to drop my dog off when they're supposed to open at 8:30AM on the appointment day, giving myself more than enough time to make it to work by 9:00AM. After waiting 15 minutes and no one showing up to open the business by 8:30AM as posted in their business hours, I had to take my dog home, and as a result, show up 20 minutes late for work because of the whole ordeal. SO NOT OKAY. 3. My husband took off work to bring our dog back once they opened. After 4 hours of not hearing from them past her appointment time, he called multiple times and no one would answer the phone. He drove there to find out that after having dropped her off 4.5 hours earlier, she still hadn't been groomed. 4. See photos to find out what my dog looked like when we picked her up this time compared to what she normally looks like after being groomed at Johnny's. The photos speak for themselves. It's terrible. I don't know what's going on here. There obviously are staffing issues, and as a result customer service & quality has gone straight out the window. My patience and trust in this business has completed evaporated because of this experience. Years of a loyal business relationship has been completely overshadowed by the multitude of failures I was subjected to within this single experience. I encourage anyone who reads this to heavily consider my review before trusting this business with your beloved pet and hard-earned money. Edited to reply to the owner's response: I arrived at 8:30 AM because when I scheduled the appointment, I also scheduled to bring her in at 8:30AM as I literally do every single time I bring my dog in, because I do it on my way to work. Nice try trying to cover it up, but no one need buy the BS you're trying to sell. Also, I would never trust your business to touch my dog again, but if I did, exactly how would you fix shaving my dog's hair off? Give me a break. read more
