Before I post my review, I'll give some background on my dog's experience thus far. We had never…read moreboarded nor doggie day cared our dog before this visit. She does regularly go to the dog park and is always around when we have my large extended family over; with age ranges from infants to elderly, with no issues. We also take her hiking and to local outdoor festivals, again with no issues with humans or dogs. We scheduled to have our 18lb Basenji mix (rescue) female, Harper to have a doggy daycare & boarding while we moved. It was for one full day, one overnight, pick up in the evening the following day. We dropped her off, she was apprehensive which was understandable. I felt comforted in knowing that there would be updates and pictures on the app as specifically stated on the website. I received an email around 11a stating that her intake form had an update. I called to find out what the update was and to find out how she was doing. The front desk person who answered said that she didn't know details but that it meant that she failed the meet & greet with the other dogs, and would only have 30 min outside with additional 1 on 1 time (about 15 min) with a human. I said ok, i expected to see an update on the app along with pictures and there weren't any. They said that they would probably update the app later in the day. I called again around 5:30p to get an update, and ask how the rest of the day went as there were no updates on the app. She didn't supply any new info only the same info as before. At that point, I went in to pick her up. I was introduced to the manager Deon who was very apologetic about the experience that I had thus far. He gave me a tour of the facility and talked with me about why she failed the test. He said that she was growling at the humans who would approach her. I apologized and explained all that we expose her to, and that it's out of character for her. I told him that I felt better about having her return the next day. Deon gave me his personal # and said that he would personally work with her. I didn't ask for any type of discount but expected better with app updates & pictures. She came to our new home that night and went back for daycare around 8:30a the next day. She wasn't happy to be dropped off again with her tail tucked under. It was a huge difference with communication that day. Lots of pictures & videos on the app! It showed our Harper happily playing with humans and other dogs. When I picked her up that evening, she was happy and had a much different demeanor. Deon made all the difference with his personalized approach. We look forward to having her attend doggie daycare in the future!

Bark Avenue has been great for our dog. They send a report card during the day so we know how he is…read moredoing. When we bring him home, he is exhausted for the rest of the day because he is always wiped after a day full of fun with his friends (which is hard for a vizsla). We appreciate the care and attention to him. They also have been able to trim his nails (and get all four paws done), which is a feat in itself. Clean facility, always smells so nice when we walk in. We are very pleased with the team here! Highly recommend.

She is brought back to my looking like the princess she is! I love the communication! I get a text the week before then a call the day of letting me know they are on the way. For me, it is a tad more expensive than previous grooming salons...HOWEVER, I know Tabitha is happier during and after her groom. It is definitely more convenient and takes less time. I feel great about Tabitha being the center of attention rather than sharing a groomer with a few others at the same time and having to sit in a kennel. It looks so rundown to the point where we're paying all this money as dog parents and pretty much the floor is being torn apart the ceiling looks terrible the way our dogs are being watched over is in a very poor condition with all the money they make they can at least repair some of the stuff make it look more appealing if I'm bringing my dog to this location I would at least appreciate my dog in a better health environment. I did see some of the dogs eating some ceiling tile as well pretty much eating poop off the floor, which is technically normal. Any dog would do that but still the back area of the shop is very dirty very unorganized and I've had a couple times were or after picking up my dog just a complete mess. There was one gentleman that would work. The nighttime shift was very nice and very respectful always asked me what would I like to pay cash or card and then pretty much would name off my card which made me feel comfortable knowing that questions are being asked. I haven't seen him recently but honestly, he's a good employee and I know for a fact there's some dog parents that also say some good things about the nighttime crew.

I was able to get in really quickly, my dog was there for only 2 hrs, the price was very competitive with other groomers and the staff was so nice to my dog. He was really scared when I left him but when I picked him up he was very happy! The only reason I'm giving them 4 starts instead of 5 is because the grooming wasn't fantastic... they missed some spots in his fur so there was little patches that were longer so I had to cut them myself. Also, they did not shave the hair between his paws nor did they cut the hair in his ears... I'm really big on customer service and their customer service was truly amazing, so even though they didn't perform well on the grooming I'm still going to bring my dog back there!
