Bark Avenue has been great for our dog. They send a report card during the day so we know how he is doing. When we bring him home, he is exhausted for the rest of the day because he is always wiped after a day full of fun with his friends (which is hard for a vizsla). We appreciate the care and attention to him. They also have been able to trim his nails (and get all four paws done), which is a feat in itself. Clean facility, always smells so nice when we walk in. My puppy goes here for daycare and she LOVES it!!! She always has a good time and I love the updates. They do such a good job at taking care of her when I'm working and when she needs the little extra attention. She does so good with the socialization and meeting other dogs. Love this place! Before I post my review, I'll give some background on my dog's experience thus far. We had never boarded nor doggie day cared our dog before this visit. She does regularly go to the dog park and is always around when we have my large extended family over; with age ranges from infants to elderly, with no issues. We also take her hiking and to local outdoor festivals, again with no issues with humans or dogs. We scheduled to have our 18lb Basenji mix (rescue) female, Harper to have a doggy daycare & boarding while we moved. It was for one full day, one overnight, pick up in the evening the following day. We dropped her off, she was apprehensive which was understandable. I felt comforted in knowing that there would be updates and pictures on the app as specifically stated on the website. I received an email around 11a stating that her intake form had an update. I called to find out what the update was and to find out how she was doing. The front desk person who answered said that she didn't know details but that it meant that she failed the meet & greet with the other dogs, and would only have 30 min outside with additional 1 on 1 time (about 15 min) with a human. I said ok, i expected to see an update on the app along with pictures and there weren't any. They said that they would probably update the app later in the day. I called again around 5:30p to get an update, and ask how the rest of the day went as there were no updates on the app. She didn't supply any new info only the same info as before. At that point, I went in to pick her up. I was introduced to the manager Deon who was very apologetic about the experience that I had thus far. He gave me a tour of the facility and talked with me about why she failed the test. He said that she was growling at the humans who would approach her. I apologized and explained all that we expose her to, and that it's out of character for her. I told him that I felt better about having her return the next day. Deon gave me his personal # and said that he would personally work with her. I didn't ask for any type of discount but expected better with app updates & pictures. She came to our new home that night and went back for daycare around 8:30a the next day. She wasn't happy to be dropped off again with her tail tucked under. It was a huge difference with communication that day. Lots of pictures & videos on the app! It showed our Harper happily playing with humans and other dogs. When I picked her up that evening, she was happy and had a much different demeanor. Deon made all the difference with his personalized approach. We look forward to having her attend doggie daycare in the future! read more

No stars, Alex is a rude women. I fell back on floor, first time visit. Didn't even say a word or ask to help me up. I told her what Kai did to my senior dogs back paw. Shaved it to the skin, it was so red it lookexd burned by the clipper plate. Didn't tell me it happened either. My dog licked it for days. And once left cotton in my dogs ear. I found it 27 days later. It was pretty gross. I got my money back. I wont be going back, and Im glad Alex didn't " feel comfortable" grooming my dog now.! Good riddens to their miserable attitudes. But, I'm the bad guy, because I spoke the truth??? Narcissism at is finest. The dont deserve my generous tips either. Oh, and I took pictures of my rescue baby from MX, that was abused, and was just a puppy maker. She doesn't know what a toy is, and took 3 years, to be able to act like a dog. Halo rescued her, said she was 3. She had glaucoma in both eyes, and has one eye. 8 yrs. Is the avg. time a dog gets glaucoma. I spoil this dog and she loves and trusts me. And no will abuse her again. She still has bad dreams. read more

A great facility. The lead trainer, Michelle, took time to understand Ruckus and his needs. All the staff and trainers/handlers are so very nice. Ruckus did fine and seemed to enjoy his introduction stay. On pickup, we discovered the kind and lovely Rebeka and Ruckus were BFFs. We will have a more extended stay soon. We have planned his staycation to include a 4*8 room, swim time, training, mental stimulation days, and an occasional frozen Kong treat. (It sounds appealing. I wonder if they take humans? I can bark if need be. ) Knowing Ruckus will be cared for while we are away is excellent peace of mind. Ruckus gives two paws up. read more

This was our first experience boarding our pup. He has been groomed there so ran right in. Everyone was do professional and friendly. Mama was apprehensive to say the least. But we felt such relief when River ran right in with the gal. We got video and report card in a few hours and were so happy to see him outside , the water stream, the other dogs all happy and content. The price is right , the staff so good with dogs and we were happy to give this positive review! River's tail wagged all the way to our car and that's such a good sign he loved it too!! Our pup LOVES "dog school" at Bark Avenue. We are so glad we found the wonderful facility - she gets so excited when we make the turn and she sees the blue dogs! She comes home super mellow after her play days. She's a water dog and loves the pool. We are also working with Michelle for training and she is fantastic. Recently used dog training services. Michelle and Jordan are the best. Training usually done in a large fenced yard so there is plenty of room to keep dogs separated. Any inappropriate behavior was immediately addressed so other dogs were not affected Michelle is a real clinician she's aware of everything going on and keeps the dogs active and safe. The Bark Avenue experience has improved 100% since my July 2023 review and I feel it is only fair to the business that I do an update. The resort is fully staffed and is now well-run. The newest resort manager has made some excellent changes that, in my opinion, have enhanced the group play daycare experience for the dogs. My dog has always loved going to daycare and prefers Bark Avenue over the other two businesses I have taken her to. I can't explain why because nothing was wrong with the other businesses, Annie has made it clear she is happiest at Bark Avenue. The staff does dote on her and she is a love hog so maybe that's why she is so comfortable there. At any rate, I know she is safe and well taken care of at Bark Avenue. read more

I usually don't write reviews, but how my dog was treated while in their care for grooming was absolutely appalling. If I could give '0' stars I would. A young lady named Alex was the groomer assigned to service us. She didn't seem too confident but I was assured she was a good groomer and my dog would be in good hands. Upon inspection of Myles, I noticed he had large patches of hair missing from his chest and back. He was walking as if his feet were sore. When I looked at his feet they were red and slightly bleeding. I returned to inquire what happened with the pictures as evidence because I didn't feel comfortable letting them see him again, I was met with nonchalant attitudes asking if I wanted to speak to the groomer. I opted to just cancel my next appointment. I then made sure to add a review of my experience on Google, but it was removed. No one has reached out to attempt to correct the situation other than just speaking with the offending groomer. I would not be returning nor will I recommend their services to any pet owner. read more

Alex is the best groomer I've had in the past 23 years of having a shih tzu. She actually understands the goal of making my dog super cute and her coming home happy. Alex gives that extra care that always gives me that feeling of being cared for and Gisele being loved. The rest of the staff is also fabulous, professional and friendly. You can tell that they all actually like dogs and enjoy there jobs, which isn't as common as it should be. I'm grateful to have found them. I was getting so frustrated taking my puppy to groomers and hearing their annoyance that she acted like a puppy! I started taking her at 4 months so she WAS a puppy! My dog actually would cower and panic if I took her back to some of these places a second time, so i was desperate to find someone who did an awesome job and be willing to work through the puppy stage. ALEX at Bark Ave understood this concept too and assured me that she was not a problem and the more we did it, the better my dog would act. My dog is totally fine with her and Alex gives her the best groom out of all the places we previously encountered. I have taken my dog to board 3 times at Bark Avenue Pet Resort. This time I used Bark Avenue Pet Resort for both my dog and cat. My cat is on prescription food for urinary tract. I dropped off my animals on Wednesday night after feeding and picked them up on Sunday afternoon. I packed enough food in individual packages for both the dog and cat, especially as the cat cannot have any other food besides the prescription food. When I picked up my animals the cat food for 3 days was returned and the dog food for 3 days was returned. So either the animals did not get feed or they totally ignored the special prescribed food for the cat. read more

All the staff are so friendly and have great communication. I feel that my pup is safe and I trust them fully while she is there! I also love getting the report card every time with pictures to see how much fun she is having. Alex, one of the groomers there is super patient and friendly as well! Our last experience with Bark Avenue was not a pleasant one. We had dropped off our 2 dogs off Monday 5/13 at 6am. they asked and we told the staff that they had not been feed.that morning .....we checked in at around 2ish that same day.... they had not yet been feed. We were told that the involved staff that would be addressed over this unfortunate error. I asked for a credit, only to receive a small insignificant amount. We deserve to get what they charge for....they are not cheap! In the last 6 months we've spent almost 2K in boarding fees. We will continue to use Bark Avenue, however will not asum anything moving forward. I'm just disappointed with them. No tip this time... Sorry. read more

We have been coming here for over a year for doggie daycare for our older dog. He is currently not doing so great and not getting around on his own much. The staff her have gone out of their way to make him feel loved and to help him get around. There are some great people working here and Nicole, the manager, has been sooooo helpful and kind. Took both my dog there on January 2023 both dogs contacted Kennel cough i had to take them to urgent care veterinarian for medication both mine were vaccinated for kennel cough too and weren't sick prior. This place is a joke! We feed a raw diet (5 dogs), they advertise about delivery services which I opted to try. After weeks of having to field multiple calls from the staff and the manager about getting my order correct, this place continues to mess it up. Twice now I have no dog that was to be delivered. I have talked to Brandi a number of times. Horrible management at their two locations from this gal. Jeff, unfortunately has taken the brunt from me as I tell him this isn't rocket science. He keeps telling me they are working on an Excel spreadsheet but this has been going on for weeks now. Not to mention giving them my credit card every single time they call. Their staff has very little knowledge of their product. I might as well tell them how to feed a raw diet let alone set up an Excel spreadsheet for them! read more

This review is for Bark Ave Grooming and the Vet. Six weeks ago we made appointments for both our dogs to be groomed. Two weeks ago they called and said they needed our dogs vaccine certificates. We indicated that both dogs had been vaccinated at the Bark Ave Vet next door. The groomer indicated they would contact the Vet and obtain the certs. Today, Saturday, we received an email about 20 minutes before our appointment indicating the Vet never provided the certs. Being Saturday the Vet was closed and there was nothing we could do to get them groomed. Worst customer service ever. We won't go back to either grooming or the Vet. read more
