Short version: Excellent, would use again!…read more Long version: I have never used pet boarding before, I was always able to rope a family member into taking care of our dog. This time, though, we have a rambunctious 5 mo. old puppy who is just too much for my mother-in-law. I did some research and found Heartstrings on Yelp with great reviews. I took a tour of the facility and was very pleased with the cleanliness and the staff. I liked the fact that the boarded dogs were given time in the play yard (supervised) every day and that they posted the dog pictures on Facebook. Our rambunctious puppy is also very fearful and nervous around new people and situations. I was worried how she would do. I called the resort a couple days into her stay and they said she was shy at first but had started to come out of her shell and was enjoying her time with the other dogs. One thing I really appreciate is they understood that our pup was shy and they worked to put her with other dogs who were well suited for her temperament so she didn't get traumatized by the other dogs. I would definitely use Heartstrings again for boarding and we will also be using their daycare services as well.

She even gave some pointers that would help Lucy through being home alone during my time away. I also really liked the text messages and pictures sent to me each day after a visit to let me know that everything was ok. I'd definitely recommend Kathy!

Our pet sitter, Karen, was nothing short of amazing--so loving, so attentive, and so patient with our very needy black cat, Jax. (I contacted them a year or two ago when we were considering using them. We didn't end up needing them, but when we tried them last week when we finally did, John did not decide to call us back.)
