I've used PAW Commons for daycare, boarding, training, and grooming. So I'm not saying I have a PhD in PAW Commons, but I at least have a Bachelor's of Science in Canine Studies--at least at PAW Commons. Everybody's going to have different experiences with all four of those areas, and I'm not going to say my experience is the same as everybody else's, but I'll point out some of the things that make me give PAW Commons five stars. The facility is very clean. Having been to a number of these types of facilities, some are not clean and some smell very bad. The staff is always nice. Because it's a younger staff, they do tend to change out a lot, but I've never had an issue. Everyone has been very kind, and they all seem to show plenty of love to the pups. They make you feel like your pup is special--and even if they don't secretly think my pup is special, I believe it, and that's all that matters. Their communication is good, too. I'm usually able to get responses quickly. I don't know if the general manager is still the same, but I've been with them since they opened, and every manager they've had has been a delight. The groomers are nice. It's great to be able to groom and have your dog play and do everything in one place, but I wouldn't say that the grooming is somehow better than every other groomer. The boarding, I think, is above average for sure. I feel like my pup's taken care of, gets good playtime, and the facilities are nice. Training is also good. Training is very pricey, but I was pleased with the difference between my pup's behavior before and after the training. Overall, PAW Commons puts in the effort to be a five-star facility, and I think you'll see that. Also, when you call their telephone line, instead of saying "Press 1" or "Press 2" on the phone menu, it says, "Take your paw and press 1," which tells you that somebody somewhere cares enough to make their phone message corny and pet-oriented. That's the kind of dedication you want to your pet. read more

I can't say enough about Paw Commons and the amazing Staff...we are new to Arizona and needed a place for our 3 fur babies to stay for a quick weekend trip. We Googled a few spots and could not locate them (think they were someone's home) Paw Commons popped up so we popped in. Lindsey was so sweet and welcomed us in. She gave us a tour of the facility, explained the playtime, grooming, boarding options, feeding options, training options and so much more. We were sold at "Hello"! The entire facility is clean and well maintained. You don't get there are 20 dogs here smell. (Love that) The "Vibe" was easy and comfortable. You feel very comfortable and relaxed. The grooming room has a window you can see what's going on with the pups. Our 3 (1 BIG) (2 littles) got baths and nails (1 little got a haircut). Chase texted and asked exactly what I wanted for the haircut and it was exactly what I requested. We got daily updates on how the Girls were doing and a few pictures (1 is camera shy). It was a very nice touch. Lindsey worked with us on shots. The girls were due for a shot but because they had received other shots the required shot could not be done. The fix was a waiver and separate playtime from other guests which was perfect. One of the girls is over 10 years of age a waiver was required. Signed by the Vet and we were good to go. Drop off was fast and easy. We provided food but they do offer "house meals". The Girls were given name bands and left us for the weekend. We felt very comfortable leaving them. Pickup was just as easy. The Girls were groomed and ready to go at the specified pickup time. We were given a full report on the weekend activities. Play, Poop, Meals. It was GREAT! We will definitely be returning. We got home and The Girls passed out which is a clear sign of a great vacation was had by all!!! read more

This review is long overdue but well deserved. I had both of my Italian Greyhounds come for a board and train while we were in the middle of a move. Russ was absolutely fantastic with them. One of my dogs had suffered an injury as a puppy which meant that he was not a socialized as I would like and was very reactive with other dogs, to the point where I did not enjoy taking him for a walk. Russ worked with on his reactivity and gave me the tools to work with him too. This breed is known for being somewhat anxious and he worked with both my dogs on how to be more calm and being " bored" in public. I have been so happy with the training, my dogs have also been boarded there several times now after the training and we cannot say enough good things about them. My dogs love coming here and come home exhausted. read more

I've boarded my dog for as much as 7 to 8 days, and as little as one to two days and haven't had an issue with Paw Commons, or my dog hasn't had any issues with them or their care over my dog. If you have a big dog like my Doberman pincher, I recommend you bring them here. Stay was decent, I know he was taken care of but the 1 star is for the grooming job they did. I just picked up my dog and I put him in the car- made no stops for the bathroom and when I was walking my dog to the door I saw that his butt was covered in poop. I called to talk to the groomers and they were very rude, the employees said that they didn't see anything on him when we left ... but how could that be if he had no bathroom breaks from Paw Commons to my front door? A sanitary trim to them apparently means nothing, there doesn't seem to be any difference in length on his butt hairs. They were very rude and just denied the facts. I will be contacting management. I leave a picture below on what I was left with and the "sanitary cut" they supposedly did. Aside from that, I wanted my grooming to be done the last day of his stay and it was done the day prior and I was left with this. read more

Trained one lab here and now my second one is in doggie boot camp. I have gotten pictures both times my dogs were in training and regular updates. As far as Doggie Daycare my one pup goes right and has been going 2 days a week especially when it is hot out. They play inside and get lots of love and attention. I am writing to express my opinion as a potential customer, as a customer who has paid money for veterinarian shots (that no other provider has required) based on Paw Commons Pet Resort requiring me to complete to bring our dog in for evaluation. In my opinion, my comments are relevant as it points out my experience on the engagement process with this business. Before we arrived for the evaluation, we were asked to fill out a form that had, in my opinion, some provisions that I could not agree to. One provision that was a complete deal-breaker for me was the "ZERO-TOLERANCE Policy" that states "In the event that you give up that right and post false AND/OR DEFAIMING CONTENT (my capitalization.) A key point here is the statement in this section that "YOU AGREE TO PAY Paw Commons Pet Resort $10,000 dollars in addition to actual damages." See this attached provision as a screenshot. In my opinion, Pet Paw Commons is asserting that I could not post a negative review, even if factual and an opinion if it was defaming in any way, and they charge my credit card for $10,000. That is why this was a deal-breaker, and I could not sign it. No arbitration, no legal recourse, just that I am wrong, and they are right. In any event, in my opinion, this entire clause is a violation of both Yelp Terms of Service and the Consumer Review Fairness Act (15 U. S. C 45b.) Yelp should flag this business with their "Consumer Alert: Questionable legal threats" banner under the provision of "contractual gag clauses." Lastly, see an attached screenshot of the Consumer Review Fairness Act which in my opinion, has been violated in this case. In my opinion, I would bring your dog somewhere else, all this caused me to look at their posted reviews on Yelp and in my opinion, I have seen more retractions of reviews on Paw Commons Pet Resort Yelp page than I have seen for any other business (Yelp reviews where a person said the problem was corrected and they improved their review.) So, based on my experience and opinion, I cannot recommend this business, as I do not know if any retracted reviews were done based on corrections or due to coercion. This post is not intended to defame Paw Commons Pet Resort, but to use my first amendment rights to express my opinion, to allow other customers to evaluate my opinions in relation to other opinions to make their choice of a service provider, and to make an informed decision. Very nice place with friendly staff and dogs! One thing I don't get is why they only give dogs 6 hours of free play for the Platinum Package. Do the pups just go in a crate the rest of the day? Shouldn't they be able to play and socialize all day until you close? Also a few more cameras around the building/one more outside and even in the rooms that stay on until the dogs get put into their rooms or that stay on all night to check in on them. Overall I really like this place. My dog looked happy on the cameras and made lots of friends but more play hours and a few more cameras would be nice. 4.5/5 stars. read more

Don't bring your dog here if you love him/her!! I've been going to ' Pawcommons for a while now, but did not check the cameras nearly as much as I should have. When I did look in on Charly, I saw one of the employee's talking on his phone the whole time. It was a good hour and he was the only one watching two different groups of dogs. I also watched as he ignored the dogs that did come up to him. On three different occasions, I was looking for my dog and couldn't see her in the yard, so I called down there and asked where she was, they said they had just put her on the treadmill. Really, twice in one day when I only paid for one. I'm guessing she was really in a kennel. Also, while watching the camera there was one dog in the kennel with something blocking it so that dog was in complete isolation. On that day I mades a complaint about the one employee and supposedly they spoke to him. Well last week I picked up my dog and she was acting very strange and then when I got her home, she ran into my room and hid in the corner, she has never done that before. Also, my friends said that there was something wrong with her, because Charly the dog that gets over excited when someone comes over, suddenly just shied away from them. If you knew Charly, you know that she's not shy around anyone. I don't know what happened there and supposedly they're investigating it. It's been over a week and I haven't heard back from them so I called them yesterday. They're supposed to call me today, let's see what happens. From my initial phone conversation to set up a grooming appointment to when I picked up my dog, I have been very disappointed. When setting up the grooming appointment, I had some questions since it was our first time using a groomer. The person on the phone was vague in her answers. For example, I asked if we would be charged extra if they had to keep my dog for an hour or two after she was done being groomed if I couldn't get to her right away. Her response was, "I don't think so." When I asked how late they accept grooming appointments during the week, she never did give me an answer on that one. She just started giving me a bunch of information that was not helpful. We finally set up a time for 8:00 AM on Sunday because I needed to pick my dog back up by noon. When I got to the facility a few minutes before 8:00 AM, I rang the doorbell, but nobody came. I rang it again a few minutes later, but still nobody came. We finally got the attention of an employee working with other dogs, and after a few minutes, someone finally came to open the door for us. I told the person we were there for an 8:00 AM grooming appointment, and she looked at me in a confused manner. She hemmed and hawed, said that no groomers were in yet, and went in the back to find someone to help. Another person came out, checked the system, and confirmed that I did, in fact, have an appointment, so they would take her back. By 11:00 AM, I had not been called to say that my dog was ready to be picked up, so I called to check on her status. The person could not get ahold of a groomer and said that we would be called when she was ready to be picked up. At about 12:20 PM, I was finally contacted that she was all done. By this time, I was already at my son's soccer game and unable to get her until 3:30 PM. This was very unsettling to me. I don't know where she was kept for 3 hours, but I am assuming it was in a crate of some sort instead of being able to roam around. I also don't know if she had any access to water because the moment she got home, she drank her entire water dish filled with water. When I did get there to pick her up, I was told that it was $58.00. I asked what the extra charge was since the website said that it was $39.95. She proceeded to say that my dog received the premium bath and started listing all the things it included. I told her that I know what it all includes, but according to the website, a premium bath for a small breed dog (25 lbs or less), is $39.95. She told me that was the price for the basic bath. I told her that it is not what the website states. She continued to argue with me. I told her that if what she is saying it the truth, then the website needs to be updated. I paid the $58.00, and now I just very upset about everything! I understand that $39.95 is a starting price for the premium bath for a small dog breed and that I may have been charged extra due to my dog's temperament, coat condition, etc., but none of these reasons were given. Overall, the customer service from the very beginning was severely lacking, and the employees are not well-trained/well-informed. Boarded our dog Oliver from 10/23/2020 to 10/25/2020. He came home with several bite wounds on his neck, leg, belly, and back that weren't there before. I was able to see my dog about 4 times on the web cam. I saw 3 different employees but no interactions with the dogs. Just cleaning and walking with hands in pockets. read more
