It has been over eight years since our first experience with All-American K-9 and now that I've used them again, I can say with even more confidence that they are the best in the business. Not only did they do an incredible job training my dog Georgia years ago (see original review), but now they've done it again with our new pup, Neymar! When we rescued Neymar at 12 weeks old, it was always the plan to make sure that he was trained properly. He was a very good puppy from the beginning, but he was also a bit nervous and skittish, he wasn't great at walking on a leash, and teaching him to listen didn't come easy. He would sometimes jump up on people or furniture, play too rough with our other dog, chew on things he should not be chewing on, etc... So, I planned ahead and was able to get Neymar into the board and train program at a convenient time for our family. I said it before and I'll say it again -- it's expensive, but money well spent! Erika was our trainer this time around and she was knowledgeable, professional, confident, communicative, and went above and beyond to make sure that Neymar's training was a success. In eight years, this business has evolved so much. I received emails with detailed updates during the program as well as photos and videos. We just had our follow-up meeting with Erika and I couldn't be more pleased with Neymar's obedience as a result of the training. He comes when called, heels and walks without pulling on a leash, stays when told, lays down when commanded, and loads up into the car too. He is overall a much more confident dog and we have built trust so that he feels safe and is no longer the nervous pup he once was. I have recommended All-American K-9 to many friends and family members and no one has been disappointed. If you are in the market for a dog trainer, look no further than this business, and thank me later for the recommendation :).

Was an amazing trainer my dog was listening within seconds of being with him! We had great sessions and he thought her so well.

100% recommend for any reactive dog + family! I have 2 rescues that are 2 and 3 years old with 2 very different personalities. Healthy play together, *most* days, but a handful of explosive battles between the dogs that I would end up getting bit. My last straw was when I got bit on my face from one of my dogs. I have a child in the house and was devastated thinking I needed to remove the dog that bites from the home, but wanted to exhaust all options. I found All American K-9 online with all of the hundreds of reviews and decided to proceed. The initial call with Bob was an exchange of information of each of my dogs, what their reactive issues were with horrible leash etiquette, both pulling, one is an obnoxious barking dog, one is a pull and lunge and would bite if she felt threatened. He was completely transparent on what methods we will be using with the collars, sent literature over about crate training, dangers of dog parks, etc. and he was very direct so I could understand that my behaviors in the home would need to change with our dogs for us all to be successful. Our first session started by getting both dogs collars on and walking to a sit. It took almost 15 minutes to get my biting dogs collar on her because she was trying to bite and wasn't having it. I almost lost hope. My other dog had no issue with getting the collar on, but once she understood that I have a remote that will knick her with the ecollar her behavior was shocking. She would refuse to sit down which I never saw that from her before so after my attempts of putting pressure on her behind to sit she tried to bite me for the first time ever. Needless to say, I left the first session upset and feeling like my dogs were unable to be trusted to move forward. Bob was encouraging and said that he's seen the same reactions and we need to stick to it, everyday, there will be good days and bad days but you can't give up in the beginning. He also advised to get the dog crates immediately, and keep up with the collars as soon as they leave the crate. On our way home from day one I bought the crates at Petco and both dogs went straight to them and had the longest nap exhausted from the day one mental toll. But each dog has since naturally preferred their crates, walking in to nap on their own. At night they prefer their crates instead of sleeping on my bed. It's been amazing! We persisted with our walking at home with the heel and sit commands. By day 4 both dogs understood that collars meant going out for walks but also they need to obey to the commands. When we returned for training session 2, both dogs were letting us put collars on without biting or barking. Both dogs already walking at our side with massive improvement, sitting when told(more times than not) AND zero pulling or snarling when another dog in training was within 10/15 feet. Instantly relieved to stick with it and know there is a long road ahead with my one dogs anxiety, and focus on others but she sat and responded to the methods. It was INCREDIBLE. Over the next few weeks the behavior of my dogs was night and day, no barking at us in the home, no pulling on the leash, no sleeping in my room, when I see if any of their play shows any aggression the instant I grab my remote they retract and come to a sit at my feet. My biting aggressive dog literally comes over to my feet with tip taps of excitement every morning when I take the collar and remote off the charger. She sits EXCITED waiting for me to put the collar on her. 5 weeks ago she tried to bite my arm off over and over when we first tried the collar. We have a pack now, and I have so much relief and optimism that my daughter can grow up with our family dogs and we have so many more opportunities to continue working with the dogs to continue correcting behavior. I can't thank Bob enough for the information he's shared during each session, the success stories and even the non success stories, his 30+ years of experience and no bullshit attitude was exactly what my family needed. If you're at a cross road with feeling hopeless with your dog at home, please gift your dog AND yourself the opportunity to see through this training program. My Piper and Olive have been transformed and I am excited to continue working with them now that I have my own revamped way of handling them. Incredible training for both them and us, thank you Bob!

Heather was awesome. Frodo and Sam were not puppies which I understand might have been easier to train but she was patient with me and my dogs and after each class we saw improvements. This gave me the confidence to know they can be trained at 5 years old. I understand letting them be free and wild was not good for them especially out in the public. I don't want our family and friends to not love our dogs because they are part of my family and Heather provided the training so the whole family can love these well mannered boys of mine.

Trained my 6 year old golden retriever with Bob. He went from pulling me around on the leash and strangling himself pulling, to walking by my side in a loose leash. He is calm now around other dogs. After his graduation we took him to San Diego to celebrate! He got to be at the beach all day around other dogs, eat out with us at restaurants, stay at a hotel, and his behavior was 10/10 the whole trip. So proud of him!

Bottom line: their model works! I had a great experience working with Bob and feel well equipped to progress my pup's training for a long time to come. I especially appreciate the support outside of sessions. I am that guy who wants to deeply understand the right way to do things and had 5-10 questions for Bob every week outside of sessions. He provided incredibly prompt and helpful responses every time. Had my fears and concerns early on, especially seeing the initial stress in my pup as she was both learning new boundaries and figuring out what those boundaries were... but exactly as Bob said, as she's learned those boundaries she's become more confident, less anxious overall (she was a very anxious rescue already), and even more affectionate. Trust the process! I'm glad I went with All-American K9.

Heather was an amazing trainer really couldn't have asked for better. Bob was very helpful and kind as well. we really appreciate all American K-9 for everything they taught us.

    Graduation Day

I didn't think it could be done... definitely not in 4 sessions! I am happy to report that I was wrong- it can be done with All-American! I worked with Heather. At our first session I was in tears, I didn't like my puppy... he was defiant and aggressive. I stopped taking him for walks because I couldn't control him. Heather reassured me that things would change- I didn't believe her. Again, I was wrong, I should have believed her. After the first hour, I had a completely different dog. After the second hour, I started to enjoy my pup. He wanted to be a good dog- he just didn't have the direction. Heather taught me how to be the alpha in my pack. After our graduation, I can report that the 4 sessions were enough. Not only that, they were life-changing. But, you as a dog owner have to put in the work, too. I am so happy I heard about All American. They have changed my life, my home, and gave me a puppy that is happy and well-adjusted. He spends much less time crated because he knows the house rules. Now, I am a happy dog owner! Thank you, Heather & Bob!!!!

Long over-due to give these guys a review... They are simply THE BEST! We were at our wits end with our standard Australian shepherd as she struggled with reactivity, and overall owner focus and listening. She is a night and day different dog. The training made sense and it was logical, and I can't believe we were doing everything the wrong way from the beginning (because that's what we were taught and going no where at other training places!) Heather is a fantastic trainer and so patient. Gave us great information. Our biggest regret is not finding them sooner! Every day we are complimented on how well-behaved our dog is, and how nicely she listens and walks on a leash. It's incredible. And she's still got a long way to go, but the basics for a solid foundation are there, and the rest is on us to continue to practice with our dog and give her opportunities to learn and grow. She is the happiest she's ever been getting crystal clear direction from us, and enjoying her new found freedom! Thank you so much for your help!

Highly recommend! Jill was amazing with our dog, Prince. She is so great in her communication of what we as dog Owners need to do to be successful. Prince is an expert walker after four lessons! Very easy to schedule and Bob was very knowledgeable in guiding us to which training we needed.

Erika was amazing! We brought our high energy Belgium Malinois puppy to her and the two week boot camp put us on the right path. He learned important commands and manners. Worth every penny and would do again in a heartbeat.

This is one of the best things I have done for both of us. I can enjoy taking my boy on a walk and he can regulate his anxiety better when on walks. He has been a lot calmer around the house as well. I was given tips on how to help with resource guarding and anxiety around the house which have been lifesavers. Heather was amazing and took the time to listen to what our issues were and made sure there was an understanding of what needed to be done but also more importantly why we were doing certain things. I would definitely recommend and I will be looking into bringing my future doggies here as well.

They couldn't find anything wrong with her. Apparently they don't know the signs and symptoms of a rattlesnake bite and sent us home. The next morning she woke up with an extremely swollen face and two puncture wounds on the top of her head! Some exam! If her skull hadn't stopped the fangs from fully penetrating, I'm certain she would have died due to their incompetent care. More recently she had oral issues and we thought she needed a cleaning and scheduled it at the earliest availability which was about 8 weeks out. I then checked her teeth and, finding no evidence or the typical tarter buildup, cancelled. Days later it was obvious there was a problem/infection, called and explained, and despite the change in condition, again scheduled for a cleaning about 8 weeks out. A little later I realized she was in distress and needed help, so I took her here, explained my concern, and refused to leave until she was seen. They examined her and sent us away with some antibiotics to await her dental cleaning appointment. Knowing she needed help before then, I found another clinic that could see her sooner and took her there. Within 20 minutes after dropping her off, I got the call we all don't want; during a basic initial mouth exam, it was determined she has cancer! The Vet said they could do a biopsy, but it was pretty pointless, as it was obviously cancer. They gave us a 30 day supply of antibiotics, inflammation, and pain meds to include euthanasia option resources. After the first 30 day supply of meds, and our baby still doing pretty good, we tried to refill them here instead of the clinic that gave her the cancer diagnosis. It was like pulling hens teeth. Again, with the 'we'll need to examine her first ($)'. Since this all started about 3+ months ago, we've given our baby what we've considered to be hospice care of meds and soft/liquid foods (she can't eat anything else). All this said, we were expecting a pretty quick decline in her condition being told it would be time when she either stopped eating or had extensive and bloody discharge from her mouth. Although she continues to have challenges eating with her damaged tongue, her decline wasn't what we were lead to believe. As a result, my concern became, maybe it's not cancer and she possibly got a foreign body in her tongue which became infected, and there's treatment for that she should be receiving. So, I called this place to schedule a biopsy. Their answer; 'we'll need to schedule an exam to decide if another appointment to do the biopsy is needed.' They are completely clueless as to the urgency of treatment. Is that what you want from your Vet?

    Every Doggie Has Its Daycare

    (85 reviews)

I did a search online looking for a local dog daycare for my mom's German Shepherd. This was the…read moreclosest one I could find to her. It's located in Peoria, AZ which is northwest of Phoenix. It is near Bell Road and the 101 making it accessible for people like me traveling from nearby cities. The facility is in an industrial type zone. The building is sort of a large warehouse that is shared by several businesses. The backside has large garage type doors. I only know this because Google Maps led me to the back (south side) of the building initially. The map has been updated to hopefully prevent others from getting lost looking for the entrance which is on the northeast corner of the building. Every Doggie Has Its Daycare has applications online that you can download, print, and complete. The information provided online makes it easy for you to prepare for your first appointment. You'll need the latest copy of your dog's vaccination records including Bordetella. Plus, you will need the paperwork showing that your pet was spayed or neutered. Even though my dog has a tattoo indicating that she was spayed, the paperwork was required. I appreciate that the business has high standards and requests these records. It lets me know that patrons of the business care for their dogs and that my dog will be in a healthy and safe environment. Before allowing your dog to use their services, you will need to schedule a free, 3-hour temperament test. This allows the staff to assess your dog's energy level and comparability with other dogs. Based on this, your dog will be paired accordingly for future play groups. Please note, some dog breeds are not allowed due to insurance policies of the business. While the facility does not offer a webcam remotely or on site, the staff do actively take and post photos of the dogs on the business Instagram and Facebook pages. They post pictures pretty much every hour and try to capture every new dog entering the facility during that hour. Once your paperwork is in order, the temperament test has been completed, and your dog has been approved for services, you can start bringing them to daycare or make appointments for boarding services. Daycare doesn't require advanced bookings. I love that you can bring your dogs in and drop them off at the spur of the moment for a half or full day of play. This is so convenient for those days when you have extra work or maybe aren't feeling well enough to give your dog the exercise and attention he or she needs. My dog needs socialization on a weekly basis. She hangs out with humans daily all day, but benefits from the play and mental stimulation she gets from daycare. She always comes home relaxed and tired from her time at the facility. The facility is temperature controlled so your dog can safely enjoy play during the hot summer and cooler winter days. They do have access to an outdoor area too. It has high walls, so there is no chance of escape. You can pre-purchase packages of half day or full day passes to daycare. So far, I have just been paying as I go which is also acceptable. It's about a $40 saving if you buy the package, but you have to use it within 90 days. They take all credit cards. It's important to note that late pickups will be charged $1 per minute! That's a good incentive to make sure you arrive before they close at 7pm during the weekdays to collect your dog from daycare. I've booked a boarding reservation during the holidays. There is a deposit required during this time period because of the increased demand for services. They ask that you bring your dog's food measured out for each meal in ziplock bags. They provide everything else your dog needs for the overnight stay, but you are welcome to bring your dog's bed or blanket that provides familiar smells and will help your dog adjust easier. Also included in boarding is daycare. There is no extra charge for this ensuring your dog gets lots of exercise during the day so she can get a good night of sleep too. I'm delighted that I found this business. The staff have been super friendly in-person and on the phone. Their website has detailed information so you can get your questions answered, but call or stop by if you need additional information. I'm certain you will get the details you need and feel assured in your decision to leave your furry family member in their care.
