My boyfriend and I were excited to check out this new veterinary clinic and pet resort since it…read morejust opened (or I guess newly remodeled?) and is closer to us than our current vet. We were considering boarding our girls for a couple days. We wanted to stop by and ask questions as well as to see the facility first. The building looks much bigger on the outside than it does once you go in, and unfortunately the overall atmosphere did not feel very warm or welcoming to us. The staff member who gave us the tour was informative but the overall experience felt very impersonal. We were told boarding requires an additional vaccine as well as flea and tick treatment which added more cost than we had expected. We had our girls records with us to show they were up to date on all their shots. What surprised us the most though was learning that dogs only get playtime if you pay for additional play sessions. We were confused by that since we assumed some basic time out to stretch their legs was included with boarding. We asked again how many times do they get to go out and we were told however many sessions we pay for. In the end we decided to stick with our current vet even though they are further away. Theyve always taken care of our girls there and handle their flea and tick treatments that aren't so costly like tempe lake veterinary. We really wanted to give this place a chance since its conveniently located but overall the experience wasn't a right fit for us.
