I booked my 4 month old puppy's first ever nail trim here and my mom brought him into his appointment for me. The woman took him in the back, and quickly brought him back up front where she said due to short staffing she didn't have help to keep him from squirming, that he was nippy, and that it wouldn't be possible to trim his nails. My mom offered her help in holding him still so she could try, only to come to the resolution that it wouldn't be able to get done. She claimed she wasn't able to cut any nails when she brought him in the back alone. Later I noticed a severely cut short, and bloody nail on my puppy's paw. I'm not sure why she lied about not cutting any nails, when she did do one which was horribly done and resulted in injury. I'd rather her be honest and admitting her mistake, then lying about her treatment towards my dog in the back room. I guess this is what you get for a $10 nail trim, I'll never bring my dog back here. read more

After providing additional proof of vaccines (they couldn't find that either), we continued to re-fill out every form. The lady then took our dog and did a meet and greet without us present (as previously mentioned we would be present during the "interview"). She proceeded to bring him out and say he was too aggressive (our dog has never been aggressive or shown signs of aggression, and we have been taking him to the dog park off leash twice a week for months). Also we could hear no barking from the lobby. To say that was a complete waste of time is an understatement. I would not recommend this place to my enemies much less a friend. read more

They were very accommodating to my dog who had just gotten an ear infection the day before boarding her. She came home looking even better than I had left her and very happy. I visited/toured 8 different pet boarding places before selecting Dog Days Tempe for our fur baby. I love the couches they have available for him to relax. They provide toys and play-time. I also like the outdoor area because in the summer when it's super hot, they can water down the concrete and it also has shade. They place baby pools for the dogs to play as well. One thing I also noticed is when I drop off our dog, there isn't any crazy barking...the dogs are all happy and content, no anxious barking...it's quiet and peaceful. We also appreciated the videos they post every day on Snapchat so we could check on our dog while away from home to see him playing and having fun...brings peace of mind knowing that he's well cared for. read more

I am a new dog owner, and I would say super vigilant about the care and treatment of my Pup. I have been taking her now for about a Month, and she loves it and so do I. She plays all day and does not come home smelling like DOG or Dirty. That alone is amazing, but truly what is beautiful is as a fellow Business owner, to see Mike and Gabby not just be the owners, but they are knee deep in the care and love of the dogs who come. So far, I've had a great experience with Dog Days. I have a very high energy 10month old goldendoodle. He's stayed a couple nights so far with Dog Days and seemed well cared for, in good shape, and happy when I picked him up. The employees there have always been very helpful and pleasant, overall I'm happy I found them! It's a great alternative to regular boarding, I highly recommend this spot if your dog is friendly and active. Love Dog Days! I did several weeks of research trying to find a day care/boarding for my husky, Balor, 2.5 years old, epileptic and partially blind. Most day cares were either too pricy, didn't have open play, had facilities that absolutely stunk like urine/feces, had uncaring/ambivalent staff, or considered special needs to be too much of a liability. Dog days welcomed us from the start and really listened to everything I was saying. Every time I go to drop him off or pick him up, I can tell they honestly do care about each and every dog in there. Mike and Gabby also make it a point to actually remember what you tell them about your dog; it was so refreshing not to have to repeat his medical history 5 times like I've experienced at other day cares. For boarding, they usually require dogs to sleep in kennels overnight, but Balor gets really anxious in enclosed spaces so they were totally fine with compromising and letting him sleep out in the open play areas. They also compromised on letting him go back and forth between the large/small dog areas because he's very passive and gentle. They're very understanding with last minute boarding as well; last month, one of our other dogs had a bad reaction to her chemotherapy and we were afraid that Balor might hurt her in play. We called up Dog Days and they had no issue getting him for three days of boarding with no notice. We've been at Dog Days since June and couldn't be happier! read more

The daycare has helped socialize our puppy immensely, she used to be terrified of other dogs and people and now she plays with other dogs and comes up to new people - Dog Days has truly been a life saver! Mike and Gabby (and the entire staff) have always been extremely accommodating to last minute needs, billing questions, and anything else that might have come up. I signed my dog up for boarding last weekend for 3 nights. I have never left any of my dogs with anyone else other than family so I was very nervous. But the staff was incredibly friendly and patient. They showed me the facility and answered all my questions. I felt very comfortable leaving my little buddy with them. I called to check on him once a day and the staff was very nice and patient with me. They told me everything he did that day. When I picked him up he looked very happy and the staff said he had a very good time playing with the other dogs. I'm over picky about my dogs care and I can say they have my trust. I would say the pricing is fair for a small business. Grooming is $20 but isn't done by a pro groomer which seemed expensive to not be done professionally. That would be the only thing I would say can be seen as a negative as my first experience with this place. read more

It's been a while since I have been here but this place rocks. When i lived in Phoenix I took my dog Heidi here many times. We took Heidi here for daycare and boarding. They have areas for the dogs to play outside and inside as well. Heidi really enjoyed the playtime in the pool. The dogs are constantly supervised and played with throughout the day. If you are boarding the dogs stay in there own private kennels overnight. At all times there is someone on premises even over night. Unlike most places they don't nickle and dime you for each playtime, snacks, or trips to play in the outside area. The price for boarding is not much more than a full-day of daycare. Heidi always seemed like she had a good time here and came home a tired happy dog. This would be my number one choice for doggie daycare or boarding in Phoenix. read more

This place was good. They are very thorough with checking a dog's medical records on the first visit. Lots of paperwork to complete. They have two indoor play areas. One for big dogs and one for little dogs. There is an outdoor play area, but it's mainly cement. Just a small dirt area in the back. The dogs sleep in crates and they told me that there is someone there all the time. I thought the rates were a little pricey. But I have no complaints. I just wish there was an outdoor area with grass and the sleeping areas for the dogs were bigger. read more

She happily walks in during the morning. She is happy to see me when I pick her up. Sometimes bounding out still wet from her water play or another dog's slobber on her from playing. On the days she goes to Dog Days, she retires to bed by 8pm. Can barely get up to go potty prior to calling it a night. She is dead to the world. Dog Days has open free play areas with indoor/outdoor access. So you know they are getting fresh air. The staff is friendly and knows their dogs/parents by name. I recently moved from the Midwest and was looking for a place to take my dog for daycare. I'm a self proclaimed overbearing dog mom who wants the best for my fur baby. I was thoroughly impressed by Dog Days when I took my dog in for his evaluation. Just a tip, when you go for the eval you get 2 hours of free daycare! They have a separate area for large and small dogs and give them ample time inside and outside. I have a very high energy dog and as soon as he gets in my car after his day at daycare he immediately falls asleep. I know he's in good hands while he is at daycare and it really helps to put my mind at ease. While it may be slightly more expensive than other locations you may find, I feel like it is money well spent. My dog drags me to the front door in the morning, so I know he enjoys his time there! read more

If I could give this 0 stars I would. I walked in for my appointment and the girl (gabby) didn't even act like she liked dogs. Barely said hi to my frenchie and took him back to a place I couldn't see- was given no information about where she was taking him or what kind of dogs my pup was going to be with. I saw her let him off the leash and TURN AROUND to let him free. As an owner of a small dog, I have a lot of anxiety about my dog around other dogs (which she didn't seem to care about) and would like to be informed about where he is. She was not comforting at all and did not make me feel comfortable leaving my pup there. I would recommend her getting a job that didn't involve dogs, because she clearly didn't care about mine. I am most definitely taking my dog to a DIFFERENT doggy day care place. This place does not have people watching your dogs 24/7- she told me. And honestly if there was someone else who greeted my dog and told me that my dog was taken care of, or any information about the facility, I would've considered leaving my pup there. But gabby was absolutely awful and did not give me any reassurance that my dog was going to be okay. Oh and there's no air conditioning, which my frenchie would not life through. read more

I've been taking my pup to Dog Days for more than a year on a near daily basis. I'm a single parent of a dog with severe isolation anxiety, and the Dog Days team (particularly co-owners Mike and Gabby) became my dog's extended family -- always there to help us in a pinch during business hours. They helped socialize my shy AmStaff-Pittie mix shortly after I adopted him and have continued to patiently walk him through how to act like a "real dog" over the last 16 months. My dog "grew up" on the couches of Dog Days, and I couldn't have asked for a better crew to watch over him during that formative time. I have never once worried about the care my dog receives while he's there, and they have been more than accommodating for last-minute bookings or the occasional special request while I'm traveling for work or on vacation. It was just my two pups and I and as a 1st year teacher while attending grad school, I did not have a lot of time for my fur babies. Luckily I found Dog Days and Gabi and Mike, a couple weeks after moving. I really couldn't have made it through these past two years without Dog Days daycare and boarding. When I go out of town I feel so comfortable boarding my dogs at Dog Days. I know they are in great hands. I do not worry at all when I'm out of town, I only miss them instead of worrying and missing them.
