I was a little nervous about using a service that has multiple pet sitters to take care of my kitty while I am away. How would they know what to do if they had never been to my apartment before? Randy (the owner) came to my apartment before the first visit and took copious notes about what to do. He asked that I buy a lock box on Amazon and place it somewhere in the garage of my building with my keys inside for the pet sitter. I'm used to giving my keys to my pet sitters, but this is actually pretty convenient because it means that I can get my key back right away when I come home. There have been a couple pet sitters who have been to my place, but Anna has been there the most. All of them post updates with photos that appear on the app that you can download on your smartphone (you also get an email copy of this as well). I feel like Anna has really gotten to know my kitty and I appreciate that she really seems to enjoy spending time with her. Believe it or not, the cats know the difference - and we know the difference when we come home. Sitter4Paws PHX answered that call. Finding a time for the consultation was extremely easy they were very accommodating to my schedule. 1. Since this was our first time using them, we paid upfront. They accept payment online. 2. They use a lock box (like real estate agents) for the keys. So, we never actually released our keys to them - they were there for us when we returned home (this is a giant plus - we once had another pet sitter who had our keys for 1 week after we got back). 3. They come within a window of time we designated. This is great for neurotic kitty schedules. 4. They send emails after each visit with pictures and details of the visit. How wonderful is that? Very. 5. They clean the litter boxes, food area and take out the trash every time they visit. 6. They are always available, so we didn't need to worry about the pet sitter not showing up to feed the cats because they don't want to work a certain day(yes, we've had that happen in the past as well with a different service). One of our usually shy kitties made an appearance for Randy both days and even "cautiously played" with him and took a treat from his hand (he sent the picture of her eating out of his hand)!!
