Still the best daycare/boarding facility for dogs in the Valley. We love Dog Days and trust them completely with our pooch!

I can not say enough good things about Dog Days. It is hard enough to find a dog daycare/boarding that accepts any form of bully breeds, let alone one that I would trust with my 2 year old baby. I have tried out my fair share of daycare in the valley and have never found a place that I felt comfortable to leave my pup overnight. I am so thankful that I found this place. Both me and my dog love it here. He loves to play and always comes home happy and tired, and I feel comfortable leaving him here knowing he is being loved and taken care of. My dog has been here for daycare and most recently was boarded for 9 nights while I was on vacation. I trust them completely and will continue to use them in the future. read more

We have just picked up our dog from Dog Days and once again he is healthy, happy and clean. The staff are always excellent and I wouldn't consider letting our dog stay anywhere else when we are away. We heard about this place from close friends who were just as happy with the service. read more

dog days is my absolute favorite! My dog is very anxious when I leave so he needs constant attention, which he gets here. And unlike most places they get to run around and play ALL day with no crate time, so he's all tired out (and happy) when I come to pick him up after work. He has learned to jump up on the couch since the room has several couches for them to relax on, but I don't mind. the staff is very accommodating to unusual requests. I boarded my dog Toby there once and asked them to put a lock on his crate (he escapes a lot) and they had no problem with that. The price is a little expensive compared to other doggie day care places around, but it's worth the price. And of course the yelp deals help:) read more

We are so incredibly happy with everyone at Dog Days! We brought our 3 year old dog who had little socialization prior to is adopting her and they handle her very well as she gets socialization. We also have a 5 month old puppy who of course loves all the attention. They are very honest about our dogs behaviors and provide tips to continue using at home. We really like how approachable everyone is, it's very laid back and easy to drop your dogs off. Also they have you bring in your dogs before starting dog days, which helped me be reassured our oldest dog would do well in this setting. Love this place and will be recommending to all. read more

By far the best boarding and day camp I've taken my dog to in the Valley. Jax is always excited to go and everyone there is excited to see him. I love that boarding includes day camp and Jax loves that he gets to play in water on the hot Phoenix days. Gaby and her crew are fantastic and I'm happy my friend recommended them or I may not have found them tucked away in my neighborhood. read more

We are selling my house and I needed some where for my dog to hang out during some afternoons. She absolutely loves it here and the staff is very kind. When I bring her home she eats and goes straight to bed she's so tired. I can't leave the house to go any where now without her getting excited thinking she gets to go hang out at Dog Days. This is the only place I trust to watch my three dogs! The staff is always so helpful and friendly, they know my dogs by name and I always feel they are cared for. I am an helicopter dog mom so I have very high standards when it comes to doggie daycares, I love the open indoor and outdoor play areas, they're so spacious and I never feel like it's overcrowded. Love that they take pitties too, my two pitbulls go crazy when we pull into the parking lot! Would not take Buster and Bowie (and Sparkles) anywhere else! read more

I typically do not leave reviews however I feel that it is important to dog owners to know my experience with dog days. I am leaving the names of the people out of the review. I started taking my mini aussie FONZIE to Dog Days Tempe when he was a few months old. In the beginning he was very excited to go and would jump into the arms of whomever came to the car to get him. I mention come to the car as they refused to allow the owners inside after the initial visit. Fonzie would come home tired, happy and all seemed well in the beginning. Then things started to change about 4 weeks in. I should have suspected something when I first visited as almost all of the dogs were sitting and not playing or barking. When I asked about the dogs in cages I was told those were the ones that were in "time out". My pup started having sever stomach issues and refused to eat in the mornings. He would come home and drink water like crazy. He was full of energy. Then he started running under the bed and hiding when we arrived home. Next he was afraid to get in the car which is very weird as he has travelled with me by car and plane and always loved it! The final week he started trembling when he got in the car. As soon as he heard the gentleman's voice over the car speaker he jumped to the back seat and tried to hide under my seat. I told the gentleman about this and asked if there was maybe a new dog or something else that would make him afraid. His response was " That's strange Fonzie sits on me most of the time when I'm in the back and he gets along with all the dogs". Next day a young lady came to the car and I questioned her, as Fonzie had the same response to the mans voice. "Everything is fine" she said . I went on to ask if they had any problems with Fonzie' , " is he being good?" Her response was " Fonzie is good but a little hyper". She went on to say "Some dogs are afraid of the gentleman because he is tall and he is the DISCIPLINARIAN". On the third day I requested to come by for a few minutes during the day to watch how Fonzie was interacting with the other dogs and to see for myself that everything is good. A flat "NO" was given to me. I told her I would watch through the window, adhere to the covid protocols and only be there a few minutes. She still refused. That day I showed up early and was greeted with a very unhappy dog. He was whining and very lethargic . When I questioned her, she literally did a 180 in her tone and practically yelled at me, " Fonzie is too hyper and gets the others dogs hyper"." He pees too much and actually peed in the water bowl". " We have to put him in time out" " He has to be disciplined". What is time out I asked and how often does he go in? " It is about 10 minutes or so". She wasn't sure how many time outs he had. The I asked how often they take the dogs out to go to the bathroom as Fonzie is a puppy who needs to go often. I did not receive a clear answer. When he got in the car he started throwing up. I took him immediately to the vets office. He was dehydrated and treated for throwing up and diarrhea. I have taken my dog to multiple dog parks and day cares in Arizona and other states and yes he does act like a DOG. He plays and pee's and also very social and a sweet dog. The stomach problems, bi- weekly visits to the vet and the fear of cars is no longer an issue! I stopped taking my dog there 3 months ago. I was under the impression that this was Doggie Day Care not Doggie Disciplinarian school. read more

I've been taking my boys here for years, even before Megan took ownership. She has done an outstanding job in keeping the vision of Dog Days. I recently lost my Scottie to old age and was worried about Oliver and how he would be without his big brother. On his first weekend stay the staff send me videos of Oliver playing with other dogs and I felt secure that my boy was well taken care of. read more

It's so comforting knowing that my babies are well cared for and happy when we're out of town. We've been bringing our labs here for the last 3 years and Gabby, Mike, and the rest of the staff treat them like family. When we've called to check on them, they're always able to tell us exactly what they've been up to without even having to ask anyone else or look it up. You can tell they are hands-on and interacting with them throughout the day. When our 14yr old lab Tess passed away, Gabby gave us a great laminated pic of Tess that they used to organize the dogs' leashes and belongings. Our pups love Dog Days and we do too! read more

Unbelievable how much my dog LOVES dog days!! I love it too. The staff is so incredibly nice and I'm sure we are the most annoying clients because I constantly call last minute for daycare. I've seen a lot of dog boarding/daycare facilities all across the country (I am the person that tours them all before leaving my pets) and I would never leave my pets at a place that wasn't tip top for safety and cleanliness. Dogs Days meets my high standards!! My dog comes home exhausted & when we say the word daycare she gets very excited:-))) Sometimes my dog is put into 'time out' when she gets a little rowdy with her play and I love that they separate dogs and give them a breather if they need it!! This is a review for any dog owner with a high-energy dog/puppy. In need of a place to put our GSP for daycare while I am out of town for work, we found this place based on their Yelp reviews. We were assured when we went in for our observation that they had plenty of experience with high energy dogs and boy were we wrong!!!! Went to the facility and were immediately met by a girl who greeted us by saying "you're late, we were expecting you at 10am"- while true, we were an hour late, it's not what I expect from a customer service perspective (Strike 1). Next, she was less than enthusiastic and friendly while processing our paperwork (i.e. she behaved like she would rather be anywhere else than there, and had the feeling that we were an imposition) (Strike 2). So we allowed her to take our dog back for an "evaluation"- in the 5 mins we were there, our dog was begging to leave, the facility was two open spaces with couches (indoors) and one open area out back on asphalt with no shade. The other "helper" also had the "I don't want to be bothered" demeanor and they proceeded to show us their facility. This included two areas walled off with hockey boards, a couple couches in each area, a seperate area with rows of crates (where they told us they keep the "high energy dogs" during evaluations so they are not disruptive.....really? You cage the dogs that DON'T just sit down and lay there?!?)(Strike 3). We made the mistake we have regretted since and left our puppy there just to receive a call in less than 2 hours, telling us that we needed to come get our dog b/c he "wasn't respecting other dogs' spaces and he wanted to play all the time".....what did they expect out of a breed that is known for high-energy & a puppy to boot?!?! Final thought: if you have an older dog that is fine sitting around all day, this is your place. If you have a dog that has any energy or requires any attention, I suggest going elsewhere as the staff makes it abundantly clear that they only want dogs that just lounge all day. My only positive statement is that they had the decency to call us early enough to get him out of this place and bring him home read more

Rogan is basically my kid. It's hard to find a place you trust to watch your kid...but Dog Days has been nothing but amazing. I know the dogs there are very socialized because they are thoroughly evaluated before they are allowed to join the pack! The staff is so amazing and has helped me with Rogan during really rough times as well. I recommend in a heart beat to everyone with fur babies! read more

I have a 6 year old mutt who loves chasing birds and barking all day. Since I work from home, it's nice to take her to Dog Days. The staff is very attentive to her throughout the day, and gives me updates when I pick her up. She normally has a case of zoomies when we get home because she's happy to see me and be home, then she goes to bed early and is still pretty worn out the following day. Dog Days has great deals on Thursdays and I've enjoyed taking advantage of that as well. The pup and I really enjoy Dog Days and we'll keep going back. read more

I have used Dog Days for a year now, and I don't trust anyone more with my dog Murray when I leave town! I truly know he is safe, happy and loved when he goes to Dog Days. They will send me little updates about how he's doing, and always get back to me super quick if I reach out with questions. Lovely doggy daycare, friendly staff, my 3 dogs love going there.

Choosing a place to take your pup for daycare or boarding can be a difficult task. My girl is very shy and standoffish with new people, so starting her off in a place full of strangers was going to be an uphill task for all parties involved. Fortunately, Gabby and Mike and the staff at Dog Days did everything right. They let her go at her own pace, they gained her trust playing with her favorite toys, and never forced her into doing anything she didn't want to do. Over the span of about a dozen visits, she's gone from hiding behind me to jumping all over the staff in excitement when they come to take her into the room. Bottom line is there are places that are only concerned with money and making sales 24/7, and there are places where the staff genuinely cares and has passion for what they do. Dog Days is most definitely the latter. I'd absolutely recommend them to anyone shopping for a place to let their pups burn off some energy! read more

We've been taking our dogs to Dog Days for years. I'm talking probably 15 years or more. The previous owner was fantastic and the newer owners are just as great! We live that the dogs get free reign of the facility and aren't stuck in a Kennel all day. They have couches, arm chairs and a play pool all at their disposal. Gabby and Michael are awesome and so are all of the staff we've dealt with. Our dogs love going there and the staff always get excited about our dogs going there. One of our dogs is deaf and they have been extremely accommodating to him. Dog Days was close to our home when we first started taking our dogs there, but then we bought a house about 30 minutes away in another town and continue to take our dogs there because they're that great. When we go on vacation for a week or two, it's nice knowing that our dogs are in great care and one less thing to stress out about when halfway around the world. If Dog Days has popped up on your radar as a boarding or day care facility, just do it. You and your pet(s) won't be disappointed. read more

We used to really like this place when it was the only doggie day care in Tempe during the recession. But then a new owner took over in 2012 and the quality of service went way down. Because of my work schedule, I often picked my dog up just prior to closing time and I'd walk into the lobby to find the one or two staff members chatting in the lobby while nobody was with my dog in play area. There were other issues as well which caused us to look for alternate options. There are now better options in Tempe for doggie day care and boarding. read more

I was not happy with this place. Even though my puppy is 6 months old, they put her in with large dogs. I asked them not to...they continued. My dog is 35 pounds and sweet, sweet, sweet. She was having nightmares and she got two infections there. She no longer wanted to go there. The staff are friendly to your face but pay no attention to what you want for your dog. I find it interesting that this place has such good reviews yet everyone I talk to says they don't like this place. Maybe the staff are busy writing reviews rather than watching the dogs. read more

We go 7 miles out of our way to take our dog here, that's how much we love it. We don't have him on any kind of schedule; we bring him once a month or so. I always call ahead to make sure they have room (I don't think you have to do this) and they always do. Not to mention, they always remember him. When we pull up into the parking lot, he's frantically trying to jump out of the car to get inside. He loves it so much and I wish we could take him three times a week, but that adds up. When we pick him up, they give us a report of how he did, and it's always positive. They keep the small and big dogs in separate areas -- and the small dogs, like mine, don't get shafted into a tiny play space. Their area is just as big with lots of room to run around. When it's really hot outside, outdoor time is limited and they are supervised 100% of the time. We love their work and customer service and only wished they were closer to our house. read more

I have been coming here for about 4 years now for doggy day care and overnight stays. I don't know what I would do with out this place. The owners and staff are absolutely AMAZING. They are so tentative to all the dogs, making sure they are relaxed and having a good time. It's so hard to find a secure and loving place to watch you pups. The people at dog days are true animal lovers. We've been taking our dog kaya there for about a year now and she is always so excited when we tell her she gets to go back. She loves it! The all day play time is where it's at. She comes home exhausted from playing the weekend away every time. I would recommend them to anyone who is nervous about leaving their pet like I am. I've been bringing my dog here for a while now and he seems to absolutely love it, any time I mention day care he runs straight to the front door and sits waiting to go. As soon as he's let out of the car he heads straight in and doesn't even look back. The staff is great and he always comes home ready to pass out. Boarding rates are good and I've never seen dogs as happy being left overnight as the dogs here. read more

We bring our dog, who was a rescue, here for half days and sometimes for boarding. The staff has been so kind and attentive to her needs. She has really come out of her shell and really loves going to Dog Days. They are very good with dogs and keep them busy playing all day. In the summer they bring out several small pools and the dogs love it. read more

Sheamus has been coming to Dog Days since he was about a year old, and he is now almost 11. It is the only place I trust to take good care of him, especially when we go on a trip and he has to stay overnight. He walks right in with the caretaker, and has never seemed anxious or afraid. We were gone from the Valley for a few years, and I was a little uneasy when I saw that there were new owners when we returned. Not to worry! The care and kindness are the same as before, and this will always be our go-to place when we need day care or boarding for Sheamus. We are fortunate to have them very close to our Tempe home, but I would travel many miles to put our dog under their capable care. read more

We were lied to. My wife and I checked this place out and asked several questions regarding supervision since our dog is rather small and timid and we were assured that dogs were under constant supervision. However, much to our surprise, when we arrived 30 minutes early to pick our dog up we discovered that seveal dogs were left alone (large and small) with some being aggressive towards the others. When we discussed this with the owner she was very smug, instead of addressing the situation. If you have a smaller breed, I would not leave it here. We will not be back. read more

We have a foster dog and needed a place to put her during the day while I was at work for several weeks (until she could be with our other older dogs) as well as one weekend of full boarding. Pepper loved Dog Days and learned how to socialize with other dogs very well because of them and has done well integrating with her two new older brothers (she is deaf, is under a year old, and had been living on the street and was pretty wild when we got her). They took very good care of her, she loved when I dropped her off and I had to pull her out of there at the end of the day because she had such fun. The people treated her very well and she clearly trusted and really liked them. I don't need to bring Pepper back now but I am considering bringing her occasionally on "Thrifty Thursdays" just so she can have a day of fun playing with all the other dogs and being well cared for by those who work there! read more
