I have been taking my Shih Tzu here for years, and they always do an amazing job! I have never picked up my dog with any scratches or cuts. They also leave her very cute. Highly recommend this place for grooming! And it's affordable. read more

It's been a year since I brought my dog here and I'm still thinking about the experience (I should've written this sooner). I just read another review and realized I wasn't the only one who had an issue. I had just moved to town, was at a really low point in life, and was doing the best I could as a college student with a newly-adopted pup. I booked a grooming appointment online and accidentally listed her weight incorrectly -- off by about 15 lbs. Honest mistake. Charge me the difference? Fine. I expected that. What I didn't expect was the way the staff treated me when I picked her up. My dog looked well groomed, but the customer service was awful. The tone, the attitude, the way they acted like I was trying to take advantage of them... it was genuinely upsetting. Instead of explaining anything kindly, they slapped an extra $150 onto my bill and made me feel horrible for an honest oversight. Maybe I messed up the weight. But there was absolutely no reason for the level of rudeness and condescension I experienced. (I will at least give them 2 stars for grooming my dog). Unless they got new staff, the people aren't worth it. read more

They took great care of my mom's dogs Sydney and Charlie. Charlie can be very nervous at the groomer but they managed to put him at ease and groom him well. Both dogs are trimmed nicely with a perfect trim, nails done, short sanitary cut, and shaved bellies to stay cool in the summer and lay on the tile. I highly recommend Top Dog! read more

I bring my dog every 5 weeks to have nails trimmed & anal glands expressed. They take walk ins for these services. Prices are great, as are the groomers. Try them out! read more

Please consider the animals that were injured and neglected when choosing this place. It would require too much personal information to tell our family's experience. After many years of our pet visiting Top Dog we've decided to never go back. Hopefully this business will consider communication training for employees, practicing kindness, and working more closely with groomers for cleaner more thorough results without injuries. We wouldn't accept these issues for anybody in our household. Best wishes. read more

We love Top dog grooming! Penny is fabulous. She takes such great care of Mack, even though sometimes he comes in a bit of a mess!!

Dog mom to a 50ish lbs malamute. I walk into this place after having an appointment for him for over a month and as soon as I walk in the male groomer states "oh, furry" in a condescending voice. I got a bad feeling with this but decided to stick around to where the female groomer came out and asked if I had taken him somewhere else since his last appointment. I said no, I'm a busy & BROKE college student who has just been doing the grooming at home the best I can & she tries to tell me that she's going to have to charge me double giving his undercoat. They way she was speaking to me and picking at my dog tells me everything I need to know about this place. She told me if I went anywhere else that they would try to shave him down. If you're a dumbass groomer who doesn't want or know how to treat a dog, just say that. Don't recommend. read more

This is the only place I bring my pups. I have only 1 groomer there because my pups have a prob with trusting new people but they love their groomer since day 1. As long as she stays there my pups will always go there for their grooming needs. If i could give this business more star than 5 I would. If you give this place a chance u will not be sorry read more

I went here for YEARS, when Irene owned the shop. me and my dogs were always pleased. since the ow took over, I contin to go, but soon became VERY dis-satisfie because the woman who was grooming my dogs started lecturing me on how to care for my dog. last time I went there she started bitching to me that I should put my older Snorkey to sleep because he's so old! That was it! This wannabe "vet" can go straight to hell!!! I took my business elsewhere. read more

I came in today with my chihuahua who HATES getting his nails cut, he snarls the entire time and Penny was able to cut all his nails today in under 10 minutes and they look amazing!! She handled him with so much care especially since my doggie has a hurt arm and she was still able to cut all of his nail. I'm so pleased with the service, I will definitely be back! read more

Top Dog always does an awesome job with our 2 Shih Tzus. We have been going here for almost 7 years and never had a bad cut or concerns. The boys always go in looking like disheveled homeless dogs on the aspca commercials and come out like they are ready for boot camp. The groomers are friendly and are great with our little pups. If you are particular about your cut just make sure they know specifically what you want. We always want our little guys short in the face and body and longer tail and ears and the do exactly our request. We usually don't have a problem with getting an appointment because they have a lot of groomers but close to holidays everyone and their dog is trying to get puppy cuts so keep that in mind. :D read more

He grooms my very difficult cat with skillful ability and gentleness. I'm so happy to have found him.

Reckless groomer. Old lady with hat Cut my dogs nails and paw bled all day. Never used that white substance to stop it, never told me about it and had blood all over my clothes and my back seat and into my house when I finally realized how bad she was bleeding. Paw continue to bleed for two more hours. She's is traumatized now and we won't go back to this groomer! read more

DONT COME HERE!! The woman answering the phones and was also grooming (wouldn't give me her name or the owners) was really rough with my dog and cut multiple of her nails too short and my dog whimpered in pain and was bleeding a lot! While I was watching threw the glass I could tell she was in a rush and was rushing my dogs nails not even trying to be careful at all! When my dog started bleeding she saw I was watching threw the window and tried to cover her self by grabbing paper towels and discreetly trying to clean my dog up. She tried to blame me and say my dogs nails were too long and that's why she cut them to short when we know that you don't cut a dogs nails past their quick! Don't trust these people with your animals, they are rude and rough with them!!! A nasty experience!! read more

My dog was bit a few weeks ago and was set to go to the groomer that week. His hair was as long as it will get at that point, and he not only had to wait for a groomer, but even to take a bath as he was healing from the attack. The vet had to shave an area to clean out the wound, so I was concerned about kenneling him with care just in case there were any sensitive spots as well as trying to get his hair even. Even though they were full on Sunday, I called that morning and got him in at that time and he was ready within two or three hours. Absolutely phenomenal job and you cannot even tell that there was an area which was treated. He also seemed very happy and is back to acting like himself again. Phenomenal job and thanks to Carlo for the referral read more

We love it here!!! Very personable and reasonably priced! $25.00 to get out little doggie groomed:) I prefer a small place like this over petco/petsmart!! We always take our dog here. Remember to tip your groomer in cash:) read more

First time taking my dogs here and they did a horrible job with grooming. Not only my dogs' hair is very choppy and not what I had asked for, their nails did NOT get cut either! I called and they told me to come back and theyll fix it but only come back when they are working because it isnt "fair" for the other groomers to fix the issue, they said. Which is pretty lame because this is so inconvenient for me and having to go back on their time makes it even more frustrating. Also, they dont check vaccination records, I thought groomers are required to check..? Never going back here again! read more

I called to make an appointment for my dog and the woman was SO UNBELIEVABLY rude. No way I would trust someone like that with my dog.

Got my pup vaccinated today and could not have had a better experience. This was her first session and they took such great care of her. She came out looking beautiful, happy and refreshed. Will definitely keep going back and would strongly recommend read more

The excellent customer service isn't there anymore. Either everyone is tired or grumpy.

My pup was very skidish after coming home which is very unlike him. I was also charged full price and later realized he was not bathed. She clearly rushed through his grooming and didn't finish the process I paid for. read more

Very disappointed. The last time the guy cut my doodle and he looked fantastic. This time the older lady cut my dogs hair and it looks awful. She had the notes so I have no idea how he came out looking nothing like his normal haircut. I now have to try to fix this mess at home. When you spend $80+ on a haircut you expect it to be done right. On top of that it took them 5 1/2 hours to do the haircut when they said it would be no more than 3 hours. A call would of been nice since she knew she was running behind. read more

We have been taking our dogs here for years and nearly every time they groom them just like we ask. Very nice people with friendly staff.

I wouldn't trust these folks with my dog again. I took my little terrior in for a basic grooming. When I picked her up, three hours and two phone calls after the time they said she was going to be done, her foot was wrapped in a bandage. Nobody ever called my to tell me she was hurt, nor did they mention it either time I had called. When I asked what happened the groomer said that "she", as in my dog, cut off her doclaw. Not only did she injure my dog and not call me to tell me about it, she actually blamed my dog! To top it all off, she made me pay full price for the grooming! Beware. read more

I have been taking my for dogs here for several years. The last time I did though a groomer named "Kayla" hurt one of my dogs badly. She cut one back paw between the toes and cut one of his front pads in half. It was cut all the way through! She did not tell me when I picked them up. She had applied something to stop the bleeding. By the time I got home my dog was bleeding again. I checked his paws and saw what had happened. Called the groomer and she said there was a cut nail. She lied out right. I then confronted her and she admitted to cutting the feet themselves. Told me to do his paws in flour. Well the cut was way to deep for that. I had to take him to the vet to get stitches. He had two paws wrapped up for 2 weeks. And he almost had to have surgery on the one. This was horrible. Hurt my dog. Covered it up then lied about it. I thought maybe the groomer would be let go, but no. She is still there. The owner did pay for the vet bill. I'd be very careful who clipped my dog there for sure! They do have other groomers that are good. Just not Kayla. read more
