On November 29th 2025 ... I called and spoke with owner Olivia and requested a certain groomer to groom my senior pup Bella. We arranged for a following appointment on the 30th with Candice. When they called me to picked up Bella from her appointment. I arrived to get her and saw she was bleeding from her lipoma there was blood dripping on floor. They acted very nonchalant and not once did they tell me they were sorry. I was very disappointed and also to find out that it was a different groomer than who I requested for. I highly do not recommend this place for your pet. The day after I called to speak with owner and she didn't have any empathy towards my dog or the situation. I felt that she was more concerned about her own reputation of business than my dog Bella. Below is a picture of what I received of Bellas cut. Unfortunately, they had cut over her lipoma to cause it to bleed. I feel it was poor judgment and negligence in their part. My dog has a double coat hair, so must have to brush it inside for more than 20 minutes. I paid $90 but they contacted me in 45 minutes and told me they all done. How on earth do they quickly get a call that everything is done , including ears cleaned, nail cut, hair trims, and teeth cleaned so quickly? Shampoo, rinse, wash, dry brush... Did you do it right? When you walk in you see a nice open area with holding areas for each dog. In each dog's holding area is their own tv and mat, so cute and great! My groomer. Deb, came out to meet me and Bentley and asked how I'd like him groomed. I honestly didn't know. Deb looked at his face and could tell how he was done in the past. (My daughter had Bentley previously but that's another story) so I told her to use her best judgement in grooming him. He turned out great! Really positive experience for a full haircut for our small and slightly anxious havanese, Snoopy. The entire online booking process is seamless and they text you when he is ready, send a grooming report card and a photo right to your phone. Mackenzie is incredibly nice and was great with our pup. Why even give directions on how you want your dog cut?? They do what they want, what's easiest for them. Just shave them down!!! it's $18 to get your dogs nails clipped but to get your trim with the it's $26 after tax and they say their prices are fair make it make sense and there's no point on reward system especially for returning is already messed up. Took my dog in for haircut plus and described what I wanted done with the cut. After explaining I show them a picture of the dog with the cut I was talking about previous visit from Colorado groomer. Going in great detail of how clean up her face as the hair around her eyes. Also advised to cut her jaw area don't leave it too long/ The groomer took a photo of my photo and took her from me. They said it would be 2 hours. About an hour later they called saying she would be done in 15 minutes. Arrived at the store and they said just about done, and to pay now, BIG MISTAKE!!!!!! Advised them both I was not happy with the way her face was cut, their excuse was the dog moved around too much. In their policy states that they will not take and any dog under meds. If able to ,she would have been ok as she is sedated for vet appts. Left the store not happy, will NOT BE return and wasted $100. read more

Our two furry babies desperately needed grooming this summer after traveling. They are both huskies and their hair was getting out of control. Hubs made an appointment for a full groom + deshedding, and I dropped them off. The friendly staff greeted us as soon as we entered. The space was noticeably clean. They asked a few questions about the pups then got started with bathing one of them right away while the other was placed in a holding area that's fenced in. A few hours later, I got a call that they were ready. It was a bit pricey, but the babies looked fantastic and smelled wonderful. The shedding was more manageable even weeks after. read more

The only place I've taken my fur baby too! So, I use to live in the Pacific Northwest (PNW), and before I moved I had a groomer I would take my pup too all the time. But when we moved to AZ, I needed to find a groomer I trusted with my pup, with had great reviews! I used Yelp to find Furry Beginnings, set up my pup's appointment out two months before our move down here. And I've been very happy with the place and the groomer (Deb) we use. Also learned to trust the groomer as they most likely know what's best for your pup and will be happy with the results! Great staff, friendly and professional. I took both of my Goldendoodles on 6/16/2023 to Brandy. I dropped them off at 8:30 am and had not heard from anyone so I called at 2:30 pm. They were ready for pickup. I called my husband and he went to pick up. When I came home from work, I noticed my oldest golden doodle licking his leg. I looked at it and to my dismay it was either shaved too close because it was extremely irritated. The pad on his back foot was also cut. I was upset, to say the least, but called the next day and left a message explaining that I understand things happen, but do not tell me.. that is unacceptable. First off when you walk in all you hear are loud barking or crying dogs, one looked panicked! My dog was used to his last groomer in Vegas since he was a puppy so thought I would try here. Bad idea! He hated it right off the bat and I got a call 30 minutes after dropping him off to come get in. They said he was trying to bite them, bite? Maybe open his mouth like get away from me. Leaving an anxious dog , or really any, in that environmental and trying to groom in it, not smart. Maybe that works for others but not my dog. Having over 7 dogs in a row barking and crying is not the environment I want. I found a great groomer in a calmer environment. It was funny as here they recommended I see a groomer who deals with behavioral issues. No behavioral issues, he just didn't not like you all, and who's the Alpha, groomer or dog ?! read more

Dogs looked great. A bit pricey. They have a sign on counter that states credit cards are charged 2.8% fee. No fee for debit cards. On way to pick dogs up, I got a text saying I could pay prior to pickup. I used my debit card to avoid fee. Was charged fee anyway. I asked about it when I got to store. Was told no fee only if I used debit card on the store. Doesn't exactly match the sign on the counter. Was told there was nothing that could be done now. I've been stopping here for nail services for almost a year. I love that they allow drop ins for nail services. The staff are always friendly. However the price for the nail services seems to be constantly rising. Today they charged my husband $21 for a nail trim and grind. They offer a package that includes nails, teeth, blueberry facial, etc. for $22. So to charge $21 for just nails seems crazy! My husband didn't want to say anything but I guess they were cutting too far down and made my dog yelp today and I'm pretty sure they didn't grind his nails are they are very rough and uneven. Even though my husband asked for a nail trim and grind and that's what he was charged for. We won't be back as service prices have increased and quality has decreased. I love this place! I've been taking my doggos here for two and a half years - I've never had an issue and they always look great. I know my dogs are comfortable and feel safe here by their body language when we walk in the door and when they are handled by the groomers. Everyone who works here is extremely polite and personable and always makes sure that we are on the same page about my wishes before taking the dogs back. I took my long haired Persian cat in for a bath and a haircut. Which is advertised as "Full body haircut to breed standard." What a got back was a shaved cat. And mean shaved. Not an 1/8 of an inch long when I got her back. Not even CLOSE to breed standard. My wife is pissed. Our other cat doesn't recognize her. Which means a week of hissing and growling until she gets used to her again. And my poor shaved and traumatized cat has not come out from under the bed in 3 days. if you use this service...BABYSIT them. Because they have no idea what breed standards actually means. I've been coming here since they opened. Never had an issue. (pre-Covid) They used to be amazing but I have a feeling they all got stimulus checks and quit. The turn over is horrendous especially when you're dealing with a Bichon. The last two times after a bath here he was a mess. I paid for the upper bronze package. Yet his nails weren't done. Groin area not cleaned up. And no nails clipped. Today... I asked her point blank not to cut him short, to keep his round teddy bear shape and she agreed. Adriana checked for matting and said there were a few on the back legs and she'd have to shave them out which I agreed to. When I got there they had buzzed my dog down to a half inch. They claimed they tried to call me and text me to tell me that they were cutting it shorter and when I asked them to prove it it was to a complete stranger's number. No apology! no nothing! Brought our toy poodle to Furry Beginninfs too be groomed. We booked her with a specific groomer and showed up promptly for her 330 appointment. Those are the only positive things I can say about our experience with this establishment. For starters, the groomer we booked to take care of our dog failed to follow through with hl the appointment. We were told that that the groomer we requested had fallen behind due to an uncooperative large dog. Nobody bothered to call us, check to see if we wanted to reschedule or to see if we had any concerns about another groomer cutting and styling our dog. The assistant manager was the groomer that took over. I can only hope her management skills are better than her grooming skills because our dog looked as if my 3 year old got a hold of a pair of scissors and styled the dog blindfolded. She should not be allowed to possess clippers or scissors ever again. If you look closely at the pictures, you can see areas where she didn't shave enough and other areas she shaved too much. She obviously had no clue on how to shape a poodles head or how to cut and style her hair. If i did my job as poorly as she did hers, I would have been fired. Unfortunately I don't have a recommendation on where to take your dog for a quality grooming appointment, but i can tell you that Fury Beginnings is not the place. Unless of course your expectations for excellent customer service is only 1 star. read more

Tried this place after reading all the reviews! Their pricing is reasonable and the 2 groomers we met were very friendly. However we won't be taking our 3 girls there anymore! 1. The front desk girl was very rude and didn't even greet us, my boyfriend had 2 of our girls and he was 6 minutes late but within the 15 minute grace time but that girl kept reminding me like I wasn't already aware. We drove from San Tan Valley to get here and got stuck in traffic though we left early. 2. I understand the groomers are busy and on a Saturday they are backed up, but no one keeps an eye on the dogs left in the front room. The dogs were barking constantly and no one even bothered to calm them. 3. We had 3 girls for grooming. 2 for gold package and 1 for silver package. The groomers did a decent job for their bath and grooming but all 3 girls still smell bad. I doubt if their faces were even washed! 4. Our biggest girl, also the most furry one, had a trimmer piece stuck near her paw. I only noticed it tonight while sitting and massaging her paws. We had to tweeze it out. It's either a trimmer end or edge of a zip tie, so I really doubt what happened that my girl ended with that pokey thing in her paw. 5. One of our more anxious pup was locked in a room alone but the other 2 were out in the front. This increased her anxiety being away from her pack. I'm grateful to the staff that they kept our pups for sometime even after they were done but I won't be taking them here anymore due to the negligence and the rude front desk lady. No banada no ribbon and no one cared to even tell even after I asked the groomer about it! She couldn't care less even after we paid and we're picking up our girls. This is not the kind of service you expect after trusting for a first time and bringing all 3 of our pups. read more

I have been going here for my dog to get a bath, brush, and nail grind or trim for several years. I had been pleased with their service and their kind handling of my nervous dog. However, I will not be returning. I did not bring my dog in for just over a year, and when I made the appointment, they should have noticed the last time I had been in was over a year ago and told me over the phone their prices had increased significantly. I was unaware of their steep price increase until I paid when I picked up my dog. To get her bathed, brushed, and a nail clip was $92!!! That is outrageously expensive and unaffordable. If you want to pay ridiculously high prices, then I say go for it because otherwise their service is fine. But because the dog grooming industry is large, I will easily find both a lower price and good service elsewhere. read more

I called ahead because I have a pit mix and wanted to be sure they allowed pit mixes. They said they did and then gave up after my dog moved away from the dryer as most dogs do. I paid for a wash, dry, and nail trim and all I got was a wash because they are afraid of dogs that they supposedly service all the time. The groomer was noticeably timid when we arrived and is not fit to handle anything other than golden retrievers and service dogs.
