We have been taking our Golden retriever Enzo here since we moved here last year. They do such a great job! He always looks so good and is so so soft and smells so good. The pricing is reasonable for such a large dog and it's always the same price which I appreciate. They are great about sending reminders to schedule without being pushy. I love how they always take him back and start grooming and then let you know about 15 minutes prior to them finishing so you can be there on time for pick up and they don't crate them for a long period of time. We just moved to the Gilbert area and were trying to find a new grooming place for our dog Benji. Benji is a mini golden doodle and he's been groomed quite a lot of times but this is by far the best grooming he's ever received. Micaela listened to exactly what we wanted and delivered! He looks perfect and they also gave him a cute bandana! It only took about 2 1/2 hours which is much shorter than many other places we've been to. I trust very few people with my dogs (they are emotionally attached as am I!) but, after a friend recommended Dog Spaw, I reached out for an appointment. I appreciate that they have options that are clearly listed on their site. I called to schedule and left a voicemail. They texted back to schedule and sent the right link to send vaccinations. Within the week I had an appointment. I was able to wait at ohso and grab a beer while the dogs were getting "the works". The groomers were finished in a timely fashion and my dogs were so worn out and adorable! The groomers comment: "so much hair" I'm just happy the hair was there and not at our house! Fast and fairly cheap for a groomer. 55 dollars a dog and they got the full package. (Varies by breed and dog) I would highly recommend. read more

My sweet long-haired dachshund, Blaze, has been coming here for 3 years. I can't say enough wonderful things about Mo. She treats Blaze as if she were her own. Blaze is a senior pup who is both blind and deaf, and Mo goes above and beyond to make sure she feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. It's rare to find someone who not only has the skill but also the kindest heart to care for dogs with disabilities, and Mo does it at the highest level. They over charge you and by the reviews, we were not the only ones. They charge you (with their choice of tip) prior to service and then ask you to tip at the end leading to a double charge. We asked for all one length cut and did not get the cut we asked for. I came home and had to cut hair myself all over again. They don't give you feedback and shove the leash back at you to get you out the door. Will not be returning. We will miss the prior ownership. (Also don't bother complaining, they don't answer their phone during open hours.) read more

Took my baby in for his first doodle groom and Micaela did such a great job! I was worried about the dreaded shave down but I do brush and comb him daily. I showed them an example wish pic and his cut was absolutely perfect! My little guy is also a little scared of new situations so I was worried how he would do. I saw him in the back just before they brought him out (he hadn't seen me yet) and he was so happy back there so I could tell he had a great experience too. We did do it ourselves today with some help from the staff. Mo also trimmed our nervous old girl's nails. Sometimes when you go to a pet centered business there is staff that are grumpy or annoyed with the pups. That is not the case here. You can tell they love pups and are patient and kind. The facility is SUPER clean and organized. 10/10 for sure! I drove from our new home in Phoenix to Gilbert for them and it's worth it. read more

Update.. Lora, one of their owners, personally called me on the day I posted this review. She took full ownership and responsibility for what happened. She asked I come back and try them again and reassured me this is not the standard they hold for their grooming services. She also let me know she would address the issue with the lady who groomed my dog (she no longer works there) and she would place me with another groomer my next time around. Nothing but good things to say this time around. Mo was excellent, did exactly what we asked. If you have a doodle then Mo is your Gal. She is as good of a groomer as they come!!! This review is just for the diy portion of the dog spaw. This is the second time I have taken my dog Sophie here for a bath. To do it yourself the cost is $18 and includes as much time in the bath area as you need, use of a rubber brush, as many towels as you need, and 4 different soap mixtures- all purpose (they made sure to tell me this one has oatmeal so if my dog was grain free to avoid this), gentle, 2 in 1 and conditioner that all come out of the same water hose, no need to grab something and lather. I used the gentle and conditioner for my golden who loves the bath part. They provide a small bucket which has the rubber brush and a small towel as well as a few larger towels and they will always grab more if needed. After the bath you walk around to the other side for the blow dryers. This is what sets the dog spaw apart from from others in that they have blow dryers in addition to towels and with a golden retriever it is definitely needed (even though she hates the blowers!) All the staff members are very friendly and everyone that walked past me asked if I needed anything else. We will definitely be back! read more

I used the self-wash services when I was visiting family with my pup! The bath tub was awesome, the products were great, and the dryer was amazing for my doodle's coat! One of the owners even stopped by our station and offered me a special face wash for my little buddy that would be gentle on his eyes! What a sweetheart! In the past we utilized the self serve dog wash, which is fantastic if you're a do it your self type of person. They provide combs/brushes/towel for you and the shampoo/conditioner system is very easy to use. Recently we adopted a younger dog that was more used to grooming and we have been able to use the full service grooming. We are very happy with the service, our doggo looks great when we pick him up ! The groomer come outs and speaks with us to ensure they know what type groom/cut of we are wanting. So far, five star review! We have been looking for a good do it yourself (DIY) dog wash and this is the place. Nestled right in the Downtown Gilbert area there is plenty of places to show off your freshly washed or groomed pup after you're done. Most of the places even have dog friendly patios so you can easily grab a bite to eat. Pricing was just around 18 bucks for a do it yourself dog wash. This includes a big ol tub for your pupper with unlimited soap, which dispenses through the water nozzle so you don't have to worry about the lathering. You can also easily change your soap options. They also have bottles on the side with gentle soap to wash their faces and a deep cleaning soap to get that built in dirt out. They have a little bucket attached to your wash station to hold a comb, a deshedder brush, and towel. They have "water proof" aprons to throw on so you don't have to soak yourself as much. Afterwards, you take them to the drying area. They have tables for smaller dogs and floor areas for the larger dogs. They provide towels, brushes, and air dryers. I wasn't sure how my dog would like the air dryer but it actually went really well. You can adjust the settings as not to scare them right away. Also, BONUS you can blow out all their loose hair without ruining your house :) Overall, we loved the place. It was convenient and easy. The staff was super nice and helped us out for our first time there. Conversation was good and it was just an enjoyable time. Afterwards, we grabbed a bit on a dog friendly patio just within walking distance. Check it out!!! read more

The previous owner rehomed him to me at 5mo and he didn't have any vaccinations, so this was the soonest we could get him in! After rereading some of the reviews it seems like this is a common occurrence with this business. If you have a dog, you know how hard it is to get a grooming appointment right now. The morning of my appointment today, I got a text asking if we could move my appointment to tomorrow, but that didn't work with my schedule. So I asked if there's any way we could be seen today because my pup hasn't been groomed in a while and we have family pictures this weekend. They say he can still come in. Great! So I come in and let them know he had a stroke a little over 6 weeks ago. And the ONLY reason I brought him in is because his vet cleared him, I would never take my dog unless he was ready. All morning he was running up and down the stairs playing fetch, totally happy normal dog. The vet said with his type of stroke, he doesn't feel any pain, he hasn't even been on any pain meds since it happened. So I get a text an hour later saying he's in pain and spacing out and they aren't going to groom him, and I can't help but think it's just because the groomer didn't want to be at work that day and it was clear by how she was acting when I got there. I know for a fact my pup isn't in any pain because his neurologist cleared him. I'm pregnant and we were going to take professional pictures using my dog to announce it this weekend, and now we have to reschedule our pictures and pay a cancellation fee because of this business. Definitely won't be coming back, unpleasant experience all together and super disappointing! Everywhere is booked out for MONTHS for grooming and I have no idea where to even get him in! read more
