I started taking my dogs here for nail trims as people said it was a great place to go. I started out with their nails getting done and if they did a good job that I would have them groomed. There is one person that does nails that I never had any trouble with (maybe are owner or the manager). The two times that I went, the other person did my younger dog's nails. My dog cried when she did her nails which is out of character for her and her nails were not too long. I gave this shop another opportunity and I had both of my pups with me for the person that did a good job previously to do both of my dogs. They were both in crates when I came in. While I was standing next to my older pup, the groomer that made my younger one cry previously took her to do her nails and I didn't see it. I heard her cry and I started over there and she cried again. Before I got over there that groomer had pinned her to the table to continue her nails. I grabbed my dog and held her close to Comfort her meaning that her nails never got finißhed. The other groomer that had my older pup never pinned her to the table and let her stand on the table and clipped her nails. The next time I took both of my pups to get their nails done at a different grooming facility, I had to give my younger pup medication to try to calm her down. That groomer put a leash type device around her neck. 4 hours after I gave my pup the sedative the groomer tried to do her nails and she bucked like a horse. She also will not let me pick her up now. She runs when I try to pick her up to give her a bath or trim her fur. I don't care if they have $5 nail trims (only if you pay cash) because that one groomer on both occasions hurt my pup. They also quoted me the price for grooming when I first got there on the second visit and then when I was leaving I asked for her to write the prices down and she increased the prices from what she initially quoted me. All the progress I made with this pup that was a abandoned and lived most of her life on the street has been undone. read more

It's a dark and dank space with people who were not engaged or interested in my dog. I did not get the sense that they cared about the cut that I was looking for. Honestly, I've been going to just a lady around the corner who does it for $30 but there's no real Westie cut. I was expecting a cute Westie cut for $68 and got just a chop job. Updated review: Our cat contracted a fungal infection after a visit to Jeannie's. Our cat is the only pet in our household and is indoor only. Our vet said that the most likely cause was her last grooming trip since she has no contact with other animals except there. When we brought it to Jeannie's attention, she said it could not have come from her establishment and that she sanitizes her equipment. We know that she doesn't always sanitize between animals because we saw her blow another animal's fur off the clipper attachment before proceeding to shave our cat. We like Jeannie and we think she does a great job at shaving our cat, but we will no longer be going here. ================================= Original review: I took my cat here for the first time and our experience was great! We've been coming here for about 5 years now. We used to have two long haired cats and their groomers are awesome. I'm amazed at how they put up with squirming cats and getting scratched or bit. They take it all in stride. We only have one long haired cat now and he's pretty calm when we get there. They have their technique down. It typically takes an hour including a bath. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! I had been taking my cats to Petsmart but since the virus, they stopped grooming cats. I am ecstatic that I found Jeannie's! My Maine coon tabbies have long hair coats to which I am allergic (pls don't judge me; I love animals). So to alleviate my symptoms, I need them groomed on a regular basis. Charlie groomed my cats and did a phenomenal job! She actually trimmed the leg hair, something petsmart would not do. AND she trimmed their leg hair which petsmart doesn't do. After 9 years at the same groomer we had major issues and struggled to find a new groomer for my dog. She's a long haired wheaten mix. You can imagine how she looks when not groomed regularly. I stumbled upon Jeannie's and loved the "ma and pa" shop feel. I called in advanced expressing my concerns they reassured me they would take care of my dog and I was more than welcome to stay in the lobby if I didn't feel comfortable. Arriving we were treated with a big smile and they all came to great Sadie. We expressed our worry and again they made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. A lot of hair and mats later Sadie was done and was so clean cut. The service was amazing. The groomer herself came and talked with us and told us that Sadie was perfect and did great. My cat does not like going to the groomer, let me start off by saying that. When I called to make the appointment, I made them aware of this and even offered to bring a cone/collar with to make their job easier. They said "Don't worry about it, she is great with cats." I beg to differ. First off, I'm pretty sure someone lives/sleeps on the premises because there was some kind of cot set up near the back. Secondly, even though my cat does not care for the groomer, every other one she has gone to has been at least an OK experience. This time around, she could literally be heard screeching and screaming from the waiting area. I found out that this was because the groomer had literally scruffed her, held her up, and was ripping the brush through the mats on her belly. I understand that my cat is not the most laid back cat in the world, but I would expect someone who calls themselves a professional to know how to deal with animals of all temperaments. OMG, Jeannie has a magic touch when it comes to cat grooming! We had taken our cat to our vet to be groomed in the past and they would give her some anesthesia so she wouldn't flip out. That was pretty expensive, so I looked around for a grooming salon and chose Jeannie's after reading the other Yelp reviews. WELL, let me tell you that our super furry cat looks FANTASTIC after her shave! I thought she was getting fat, but after having all of her fur shaved off, I realize that she looks completely normal. I brought my precious doggies to Jeannie's last weekend after having been generally disapointed by the service I was receiving at PetSmart. My best friend found this place and reccomended it to me. I could not have been happier to find my new permanent groomers! The store itself was adorable, and I loved that their two very chillaxed kitties were hanging out (well, sleeping :)) in the lobby. The place was very clean and well kept. What I loved the most about Jeannies was the groomers themselves. They were very friendly and were so unbeliveably sweet to my babies. It was obvious that they truly love pets and did everything they could to make the expirence pleasant for my furries. My groomer took one look at my dandery golden retriever, Naala, and told us she would use a special shampoo on her that would help her skin. Since I picked her up I have not seen one flake of dander on her for the first time in years. When I picked up Naala, I brought in my black lab mix, Drake, to have his nails cliped. My groomer was again so sweet to Drake, and when he got fussy over the clipping, another groomer imediately came over and distracted him with love so he wouldn't fuss. I loooved that :) My issue with PetSmart was that I pay as much $ to have my pets groomed, as I do to have my own hair done. The level of service I expect from my stylist is the same as what I expect from my groomer.
