Our dog is 12 years old, and she is suffering from arthritis and a bit of dementia, so we were looking for a bit of a "boutique" experience given her old age and health challenges. Charlie groomed our dog, and let me tell you that she is nothing short of a rock star!! Charlie was so relaxed, confident and efficient, and everything went amazing well. I was very disappointed with my experience at Jeannie's grooming. we entered with my West Highland terrier, and there was no greeting from anybody. I was excited because I felt like it would be a good experience boutique sort of spa for my dog, but definitely not that. It's a dark and dank space with people who were not engaged or interested in my dog. I did not get the sense that they cared about the cut that I was looking for. Honestly, I've been going to just a lady around the corner who does it for $30 but there's no real Westie cut. I was expecting a cute Westie cut for $68 and got just a chop job. Anyway, I would not recommend this place. They need to up their game in terms of service and kindness. read more

I've never had a cat that requires grooming. Now I have Karlie Kat with fine longer hair that matted! So Karlie Kat was groomed yesterday at Jeanie's. And, the experience went pretty darn good! We've been coming here for about 5 years now. We used to have two long haired cats and their groomers are awesome. I'm amazed at how they put up with squirming cats and getting scratched or bit. They take it all in stride. We only have one long haired cat now and he's pretty calm when we get there. They have their technique down. It typically takes an hour including a bath. Always great results. Always worth the price. Definitely recommended. read more

Updated review: Our cat contracted a fungal infection after a visit to Jeannie's. Our cat is the only pet in our household and is indoor only. Our vet said that the most likely cause was her last grooming trip since she has no contact with other animals except there. When we brought it to Jeannie's attention, she said it could not have come from her establishment and that she sanitizes her equipment. We know that she doesn't always sanitize between animals because we saw her blow another animal's fur off the clipper attachment before proceeding to shave our cat. We like Jeannie and we think she does a great job at shaving our cat, but we will no longer be going here. ================================= Original review: I took my cat here for the first time and our experience was great! THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! I had been taking my cats to Petsmart but since the virus, they stopped grooming cats. I am ecstatic that I found Jeannie's! My Maine coon tabbies have long hair coats to which I am allergic (pls don't judge me; I love animals). So to alleviate my symptoms, I need them groomed on a regular basis. Charlie groomed my cats and did a phenomenal job! She actually trimmed the leg hair, something petsmart would not do. AND she trimmed their leg hair which petsmart doesn't do. After 9 years at the same groomer we had major issues and struggled to find a new groomer for my dog. She's a long haired wheaten mix. You can imagine how she looks when not groomed regularly. My cat does not like going to the groomer, let me start off by saying that. When I called to make the appointment, I made them aware of this and even offered to bring a cone/collar with to make their job easier. They said "Don't worry about it, she is great with cats." I beg to differ. First off, I'm pretty sure someone lives/sleeps on the premises because there was some kind of cot set up near the back. Secondly, even though my cat does not care for the groomer, every other one she has gone to has been at least an OK experience. This time around, she could literally be heard screeching and screaming from the waiting area. I found out that this was because the groomer had literally scruffed her, held her up, and was ripping the brush through the mats on her belly. I understand that my cat is not the most laid back cat in the world, but I would expect someone who calls themselves a professional to know how to deal with animals of all temperaments. I will not be returning. I urge you to explore other options. read more

OMG, Jeannie has a magic touch when it comes to cat grooming! We had taken our cat to our vet to be groomed in the past and they would give her some anesthesia so she wouldn't flip out. That was pretty expensive, so I looked around for a grooming salon and chose Jeannie's after reading the other Yelp reviews. WELL, let me tell you that our super furry cat looks FANTASTIC after her shave! I thought she was getting fat, but after having all of her fur shaved off, I realize that she looks completely normal. I brought my precious doggies to Jeannie's last weekend after having been generally disapointed by the service I was receiving at PetSmart. My best friend found this place and reccomended it to me. I could not have been happier to find my new permanent groomers! The store itself was adorable, and I loved that their two very chillaxed kitties were hanging out (well, sleeping :)) in the lobby. The place was very clean and well kept. What I loved the most about Jeannies was the groomers themselves. They were very friendly and were so unbeliveably sweet to my babies. It was obvious that they truly love pets and did everything they could to make the expirence pleasant for my furries. My groomer took one look at my dandery golden retriever, Naala, and told us she would use a special shampoo on her that would help her skin. Since I picked her up I have not seen one flake of dander on her for the first time in years. When I picked up Naala, I brought in my black lab mix, Drake, to have his nails cliped. My groomer was again so sweet to Drake, and when he got fussy over the clipping, another groomer imediately came over and distracted him with love so he wouldn't fuss. I loooved that :) My issue with PetSmart was that I pay as much $ to have my pets groomed, as I do to have my own hair done. The level of service I expect from my stylist is the same as what I expect from my groomer. This is by far the best experience I have ever had getting my kitty groomed. She was groomed twice in the past and both times I was told that she was moody and mean. I decided to give up getting her groomed after that until her hairballs started getting more and more frequent that I wanted to try one last time. Jeannie is absolutely amazing at what she does! Not only is my girl's lion cut perfect, but Maris was so relaxed and happy when I took her home. Hell, she smelled so good that my other cat didn't even recognize her.
