I've been coming here for 4yrs and every single time my baby looks amazing. Everyone here is super friendly and so helpful. My dog is 11yrs old and has back problems, Jody is amazing with her and so patient. She gives her breaks so she's not standing for too long. The prices are also very reasonable. I've gone other places and they wanna charge me way more OR it's cheaper but the haircut is horrible. If you're looking for an amazing groomer I recommend coming here. I took my two dogs here two weeks ago for the first time after moving from California. My Boxer just needed a bath/brush but my Shih Tzu needs a full groom. The ladies were so nice and friendly there and I could by the way they were grooming the other dogs there that they really loved what they were doing. They were kind and gentle and I was happy to leave my dogs with them. Are usually take my dogs to a different big box pet store for grooming and have never really been happy. When I take them there I literally have to drag my dogs in because they are so scared to go in there. I decided to try aunt Donna's and I'm so happy I did. When I picked them up they brought them out and not only were they calm and happy but they looked sooooo cute! Thank you Aunt Donna for grooming my dogs. We will definitely be back. read more

Our dogs have been coming here for almost three years. Loretta takes care of our two wiener dogs. Although they are both short (smooth)hair, they are both a little different. One is very silky, and the other has very coarse hair that grows even thicker in certain area and between his pads. Loretta just knows to thin and trim those areas without me even mentioning it. I have been taking all my dogs here for over 17 years. However they always shuffled them to the back for baths and I never watched them actually groom them. My shitzus have heart problems and are blind and deaf, so I keep reminding John of their age and medical issues and that he needs to be extra careful because they can die if they get stressed out. I took Dior in today at 10:30 and John said he would actually shave him first before bathing him. I actually stayed for a few to talk to John. While I stood there talking to him about how sick they were and told him this would probably be his last grooming John then suddenly yelled loudly and said Dior peed on the table. He starting shuffling around for something to wipe it up while still yelling, leaving Dior unattended on the table. Dior almost walked off several times. John just forcibly grabbed him and shoved his face down! I was shocked he was being so rough when he knew how sick Dior is. I reminded him several times Dior can have a heart attack and die at the slightest stress. I starting crying and walked out but decided it was to risky to leave Dior there so I went back and picked him up. John was angry and said he can't make me happy and he's retiring anyway. After 17.5 years of business this bud how we were treated. Shocking is an understatement. read more

Our dog has been to several groomers but usually after a few times they start getting sloppy. This is the third time we have been and each time it's been great and he looks just groomed for at least 4 weeks which is much longer than anywhere we've been. Today we mixed up the appointment date and they let us bring him in a little later with no problem. read more

Took me a LONG time to find a groomer that undstands the "needs" of my old, giant lab. They literally cured some of his fears. He is shinny and smells great when I pick him up. These people are so sweet. I was next door at the vet and just dropped in to see if they could trim my dog's nails. They happily did it right then and there and my dog didn't even shake. They were so gentle. I live in Maricopa and drive out to Chandler to get my dog's nails trimmed because I like them that much. The dog groomer in Maricopa was rather rude to me and seemed pretty rough with the dogs. I am happy to find someone I am happy with. I don't mind the drive. read more

I took my dog to a few other groomers in Chandler and so far I love Aunt Donna's the most. I know this can't be an easy job so I keep an open mind about these places. Aunt Donna's has an incredibly nice and caring staff. They make me feel so comfortable leaving my dog with them. They recommended I stay while they trim my dog's nails because he gets so freaked out about his nails and I really like that they took the time to consider my dog and let me know. Another thing I really loved is they let me know a concern with my dogs ear that i had no idea about. I feel like this place values their customers as well as the pets. This has only been my second time taking my puppy Lola in (Golden Retriever). The big thing I noticed with Lola, is that she's not afraid to come hang out with Cassie (groomer). Lola walks right in the door and walks into the back with Cassie like a pro. Maybe I'm a crazy dog mom for noticing, but just seeing how calm Lola was with Cassie and not afraid, made me really happy. I know she's in good hands and that's all that matters. read more

I usually take my kitty to PetSmart to get her lion cut. I recently moved to Chandler and thought I would give one of local businesses a try. When I walked in the door, I felt instant chaos and disarray and should have left right then and there. There are two Aunt Donna's and I went to the one on Alma School by mistake (they didn't tell me this until after the fact). I am noting this because maybe the other one is way better. Anyways, there is one man that does the cat grooming. He called me an hour after I dropped off Sara and insisted that I come back and get her because she was being uncooperative. He couldn't get the side of her shaved where she lost her eye because she was too skiddish. He just couldn't handle her. If I wasn't so angry and disappointed, I would have burst into laughter as she is the most docile cat I have ever seen. I can say that as I have volunteered with a shelter for the past 3 years, working and transporting and fostering kitties. He thought maybe because it was too loud there, again, she has been to PetSmart many, many times and the groomers there call her an "angel and a dream to work with." When I went to pick her up, she was half shaved and just looked despicable. He opened up the carrier to show me what he had done and she flinched back away from him, scared and then he jumped back!! WHAT?? I said she is not going to bite you for the love of God. If you are afraid of cats then why have you chose to be a cat groomer as your profession!? Ridiculous. I got her into PetSmart the next day and they fixed her up. Said she was a dream and super sweet, as usual. read more

I went to the one in Mesa about several times with my 2 cats. The first time, he chewed me out because he hadn't understood, although I had said when I made my appointment, that I only wanted my cats combed out. He also told me that I need to let him know that one of my cats is what he called "special needs" in that she's difficult. So the second time, I phoned and a lady answered the phone. I told her that I just wanted my cats combed out and that one of them was special needs. She gave me an appointment. He chewed me out for not having an early morning appointment. He said I needed to talk to him personally to make the appointments. This last time, I talked to him personally, told him I needed an early morning appointment to just comb out my cats and that one of my cats was special needs. When I arrived this morning with my 2 cats, he told me that because of their policy due to covid-19, he couldn't do my special needs cat. He told me I didn't tell him that I had a special needs cat. I informed him that I did. I think the problem is that he doesn't listen well on the phone to take in these details. I'm so tired of him chewing me out for something when I've done nothing wrong! He charged me $45 to shave my other cat's belly and comb him out. This cat is a groomer's dream because he's so well behaved. It only took him 15 minutes, if that, to do it and was about $10 more than he's charged me in the past for the same service. I'm sorry if they've lost money from being closed during covid-19 but I didn't cause it and I'm not making up for their losses. I'll be looking for a more pleasant groomer who doesn't bawl me out for giving him my business. read more

I had an awesome experience here with my dog shaggy. He is a soft coat wheaton terrier and it's tough to give him a good cut. Especially he is in such a shaggy mess like how he was when I brought him in. Wendy was very nice and she gave him the best cut he has ever had. And he is 14. So that says ALOT. read more

I can't say enough about Aunt Donna's Grooming but most of all for Kristen (sp?) that works there. Kristen groomed my dog Kuma for years until he went to the rainbow bridge this last Sept. 2016. She gave him great haircuts and was always loving. On the day Kuma passed, I was so distraught that I was unable to carry my 75 lb Golden from my car to the vet (Aunt Donna's is right next door) and Kristen came out and carried my sweet boy into the vet. I just can't say how much that meant to me. When we are over our heartbreak from losing our sweet boy, we will adopt again and we will use Kristen at Aunt Donna's Grooming. read more

I moved and used another groomer but the cut wasn't great and the place seemed dirty so now I drive out of my way to Aunt Donna's. Aunt Donna's is also much cheaper. I get my cat done and not all places will do cats or only on certain days. I feel very comfortable leaving my cat at Aunt Donna's. read more

Awesome! Loretta trimmed my 100 lb Doberman Zeus' nails. She was great. I went in 20 minutes before they were taking walk ins. She was just starting her am routine. I was willing to wait but she did me a solid! Then to top it off it was the most efficient professional process. We both got on the floor and treated Zeus to some double loving!
