Danielle responded promptly to my Quote Request with a phone call (left a voice message) and a message via Yelp asking me to call to schedule an appointment...although there was no price quoted in either message. I called and explained to Danielle that both of my poodles needed to be GROOMed, and I like them to have a kennel cut, clean face w/the male having a little mustache, clean feet, blunt cut ears and nails trimmed. She asked me to hold so she could speak to the groomer who would be servicing my doggies; then returned to schedule my appointment for the following day, Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 11:00 am. I was running a little late the next morning and arrived at 11:10 am. As I hurried to get out pf the car and approached the door to Pampered Pet Spa, I saw dog feces smeared into the walkway in front of the store! Come on, Pet Owners! Be responsible and pick up the poop!! Once inside, I noticed the reception area was extremely filthy. I was taken back, but remembered reading all the awesome reviews...and my poodles needed a grooming, so I continued to the counter to sign in. I was greeted by the sole groomer who was still working on a dog. She asked my name etc and then looked at my poodles and said "They're a mess!" "This one is all matted and needs a cut." I would've been ticked off at her statement had I not felt the same way...they were a mess! Except they were not matted! Just curly and long...because I brush them every couple of days. They have no tangles or knots! Once I was over the shock of hearing her statement, I realized she said "...needs a cut." I explained to her that both my poodles were there for complete grooming which entails a cut! She said that they were only scheduled for a bath & brush along with trimming their face and feet; she didn't have time to do anymore to them. WHAT?! I have never contacted a groomer and had to clarify that "GROOMed" meant to also CUT or trim the dog's hair! I left with my two un-groomed poodles. Talk to me about messy once you've cleaned up your place of business! I would've given one star, except Danielle's response to my initial contact was very prompt. read more

Pampered Pet Spa - Pet Groomers Near Me - Chandler, Arizona

I have been taking my dog to be groomed here for the last year and a half. All of the staff is super friendly. They take great care of my dog while he is there. My dog is naturally shy and is usually really nervous to go new places. He doesn't give me any problems about going here because they take such good care of him. They have a cute little play area for the dogs while they are waiting to be picked up. He always comes away from here looking cute and happy. The owner obviously knows her dogs. She has tons of experience, she has been in the business for years. Any question I have about my dog she always has good input for. They are really good at fitting my dog into their schedule, their service is fast, and their prices are great. I recommend this place for anyone looking for excellent quality in pet grooming. read more

Pampered Pet Spa - Cute and happy after a visit to pampered pets. - Pet Groomers Near Me - Chandler, Arizona

We walked in today to inquire about getting our dog groomed here and immediately upon walking in we were greeted with one of the ladies screaming at a dog. I started to ask a question to the other woman grooming and we witnessed the other lady grab the weimaraner by the ears and drag him across the floor while screaming "bad dog" at him. I don't know how comfortable others are with this behavior, but if they're willing to treat a dog like this in the presence of customers, how do they treat them when customers aren't present and watching? Local or not, we won't be allowing them anywhere near our beloved family members. read more

I've tried cutting my border collie's hair several times in the past. He thinks clippers and hair dryers are Godzilla. Because of this, I had given up on trying to cut his hair on my own. Anyhow, when his hair took on a Mark Twain crossed with Ludwig Van Beethoven look, I decided it was time to take him to the professionals. The pros at Pampered Pet Spa had him looking like he was ready to have a night out on the town in no time. Thanks for helping my dog overcome his clipper/hairdryer anxiety while making him look like a stud. Highly recommend this place. read more

Honestly disgusted with my experience . Came in to get my pup groomed (shitzu poodle mix), upon arrival the girls at the counter addressed my dogs weight by asking me her feeding schedule and telling ME she's malnourished. Don't get me wrong being a shitzu poodle mix, her body is very long and dainty, she eats 3 times a day with regular vet check ups. I was completely blind sided to be told that the groomers took it upon themselves to feed my dog HAM CHEESE AND BREAD BECAUSE SHE "LOOKED HUNGRY"? It's APPALLING there has been no training done to entail NOT TO FEED THE ANIMALS YOURE SUPPOSED TO BE GROOMING? Thank god I didn't bring my diagnosed 4 ingredient diet pug because if anything like this was to happen to him, I would have a dog going into anaphylactic shock and dying. Instead I got to deal with liquid diarrhea all over my house for 3 days because of the incompetence of the workers here. read more

I've been searching for a good groomer nearby for my two goldens. Pampered Pets had great reviews so I gave them a try and I'm glad I did. Elena made Elvis look and feel so good! Beautiful cut! She checked before she started to make sure she knew what I wanted and checked afterwards so she could address anything I didn't like, which was nothing! He was well taken care of, the cost was reasonable and Elena was awesome. Thanks! read more

Pampered Pet Spa - Elvis after his spa time! - Pet Groomers Near Me - Chandler, Arizona

Dog owner beware, this place is horrible. I've given them multiple chances with my dogs and this last time was the worst experience. My wife and daughter brought our golden doodle's and pug in and the the guy running the shop was extremely rude to them and said he had no notes from their last visit, which is bullshit. I guess "pink hair" is the only one who works on Mondays and Tuesdays and he took their appointment. Hours later when they were done, my daughter and son went to pick them up. My daughter asked to take the pug first, since there were 3 dogs and he gave them to her at once. The golden doodles escaped and she had to go after them so they wouldn't run out to the main road, our pug for her paw caught in the main door and it bled, and the guy didn't even offer to help. Could have been a really bad situation. When she got home with the three of them, I could not believe what I saw. He sheared them down and made them look like Bozo the Clown, they were all traumatized and slept most of the afternoon and I can't believe I paid $180 for this hack job. It's funny because this shop called me over a month ago asking when I will be bringing them back for grooming which tells me they are hurting for business. Won't be going back and recommend you don't take your animals there either. read more

I am new in town and needed a nice place for my little dog Sunny to get pampered. The location is close to home, so it was ideal- but that didn't mean they were going to be great, so I gave them a try. They are wonderful! I am thrilled with their services and friendliness! This is the only place I will take my dog. An awesome job by the girls at Pampered Pet Spa! My little guy came back to me a little angel...even though he is more of a clown. He looked fantastic! Now that we are settled, Sunny will also have his regular visits to look forward to. read more

Love this pet spa! My Yorkie came out looking like a princess and got her teeth brushed! I think I found my new go to groomer!

I never review a place but after reading Christine's review I felt I needed to share my experience. I should of walked out like her but I didn't. I called and spoke with a lady and asked how much would it be to groom my Shitzu and what would that entail. She told me they wash, cut, trim nails etc. I told her good because my dog needs to be shaved. She told me $40 and said they had an opening at 11am today. I took the opening. When I got there they asked what I was there for and I explained I had an 11 appt to have my dog shaved. They then proceeded to tell me we thought you just wanted a bath for your dog. WHAT?!?! If I wanted my dog bathed I could do that at home. Then they told me it would be somewhere around $55+ depending on how hard and good the dog was. I explained I was quoted $40 over the phone and they all played it off like I didn't make myself clear on the phone. They finally offered a $5 discount. Talk about a bait and switch!! I kept the appt but I had thoughts I shouldn't. They told me expect 2-3 hrs for us to have your dog. 5 HOURS later I had to call and ask about my dog. They told me he was still getting cut but should be done in a few mins. When I got there I paid and left. The whole way home he acted funny, panting really hard. I hurried home and he went straight for the water bowl and drank for about 5 mins straight. He was totally dehydrated and acted sad. Usually coming home the groomers he's super excited and prances around for all the kids to see he's been groomed. He didn't even get up when they walked in from school. I will NEVER go back to this place, my dog was NOT treated right!! read more

We have been taking my baby boy here for a few months now and they take impeccable care of him. He is a pitbull(big lover), but they don't treat him different. The groomers do an amazing job, they're quick, and keep him there if I'm running late. You can also drop your pet off a little early and pick them up a little late. They are very flexible which helps a lot! My dog shakes in the car with excitement when he gets there and freaks out with kisses for the groomers when he arrives; and when leaving he is one happy good looking dog. I really appreciate everything and one time his skin was dry from the wash and the manager offered to rewash him with conditioning treatment free of charge. They also will do the flea and tick treatment when needed and put a cute little bandana on the boys. I couldn't be happier. If there were more places like this for humans, life would be so much easier! read more

Our dog only needed a nail trim but I was impressed by how well they dealt with our skittish dog who really doesn't like to get her nails trimmed. They very quickly took care of everything including some way overgrown thumb claws with no issue. Our dog seemed much more comfortable here than other groomers we have used including getting it done at the vet. I would definitely return for nail trimming and possibly try out their other services. read more

The groomers here are dog whisperers. I've been taking my Yorkie here for years and I assumed that he hated being groomed because of how horrible he is when I need to give him a bath. I highly recommend this groomer! Danielle was fabulous!!! I have a cat that has been badly matted for some time where we were not able to remove the mats. Our kitty is quite large and too strong for us to manage. A gal at our pet store recommended Danielle and she was able to do a lion cut on our guy and he is like a new cat, actually like a new kitten! BEWARE, YOUR PET MAY NOT BE SAFE HERE. On April 1st, I took my pet in for grooming. When I picked her up, I noticed her paw was bleeding. I went back into the business and asked why my dogs paw was bleeding. The owner, Danielle, told me her nail was cut too short and that's why it was bleeding. Then she told me that her nail got hung up on the cage. I asked her what to do and she told me to give it a few days to see how my dog does. About a week later, I contacted Danielle and advised her that my dog's paw was still injured. I also made an appt. for the vet. She asked me to let her know what the vet said and that she would contact her insurance after that. I saw the vet who said my dog needed to have surgery to remove the dewclaw because it became detached. I relayed the information to Danielle who said she would need to speak to the vet before she submits to the insurance. She said "I like to speak to the vet for a variety of reasons. I like to understand what happened and know how much of this is my responsibility." I reminded her that my dog went in perfectly normal, and came out bleeding...so this WAS her responsibility. My dog had surgery on April 15th. On April 28th, after many e-mails and conversations back and forth, she asks for the vet bills and said she would contact her insurance. I personally dropped off the bills the first week of May. On May 8th I e-mailed her and ask if she had a chance to talk with her insurance...but she didn't respond. I called the business and she wasn't in. On May 10th I e-mailed her again and asked if she spoke to insurance...but she didn't respond. On May 15th I called her business and left a message for her to call me back, but she hasn't called. On May 16th I e-mailed her again telling her that I have attempted to contact her several times and she has not responded. I have decided now that Danielle with Pampered Pet Spa is not interested in accepting responsibility for injuring my pet and is not interested in resolving this matter peacefully. read more

I love this place as do my dogs. I have two Shih Tzu's and a Labrador. I have taken my Shih Tzu pups here several times and they always come back well groomed and very happy! Unless your dog does not get along with others, they don't keep them in a cage. Half the salon is dedicated as an area for the dogs to roam around in comfort while they are wait. This keeps the dogs anxiety low and makes it a fun adventure for your dog. Plus they groom the dogs at the appointment time instead of giving you a drop off and then making them wait in a cage all day like some of the large corporate pet stores. I have had always had at least one dog that has needed to be groomed on a regular basis since 2001 and this place is by far better than ANY place I have ever been before. That includes the big corporate places as well as smaller shops too. I am glad I found them as are my dogs! read more

They did such a great job with our dog Miso, we were really surprised and impressed how clean and nice she came out. And for such a reasonable price compared to where we've been before. HORRIBLE! Disappointed in both the grooming and the customer service. Took our dog for grooming and after 2 hours picked her up to find her nails trimmed BUT with a cut paw, still shedding equally to when we dropped her off, and skiddish. Groomer tells me he will call to check on her cut and will pay for vet if we take her and that she was well groomed. Our check was cashed one week after and NO call to check on the dog. I couldn't believe the lack of concern and customer service - I called to speak with the owner and tell her we are getting our dog groomed again not even 14 days later and is costing us an additional $45. She said she heard about injury and assumed groomer would follow up but it was his last day so his attitude was poor. Refused to refund or pay for the added expense ($90 in 2 weeks for groomng of our 10 lb dog, really?). Her best resolve was for us to bring her back in for a re-do! ABSOLUTELY not - and I had to hear her story of being a single mom of 5 kids and she can't afford to return money to people because many customers are not satisified with one thing or another with their pet grooming. So she has many dissatisfied customers? STAY AWAY! Petco offers a much more friendly, pet safe, and excellent grooming service. read more

I have 3 big dogs. One we just rescued that has severe skin allergies and Lupus. He is the only dog I have ever taken to a groomer as I usually just bathe my dogs at home. So having no experience in picking a groomer or what to expect or if there were even any out there that could help my poor guy, I took to researching and reading reviews. I found Pampered Pet and they were very fair in price and had great reviews so I figured I'd try them out. I'm glad I did! They were friendly, listened to my concerns and went to action! When I picked him up, he looked great and felt great! More importantly, what they used helped his scratching a lot! I've already made another appointment and I'm so relieved I've found a place I can trust with my baby boy. The only thing I just found out is your supposed to tip your groomer.
