We recently had a new addition to the family that required me to give up my condo and move into a house. I was contemplating on doing the move myself but last time I checked I ain't no spring chicken anymore. I reached out to my trusted resource, Yelp and it directed me to Precision Mover. I spoke to Larry and he was very professional and knowledgeable. We provided a list of items to move and he quoted us a very reasonable price. On the day of the move, they showed up 15 minutes early for a quick walk through of the home. They started to move all the boxes in the garage and did not start the time until they moved the first item in the home. Score! They were extremely careful wrapping all the furniture and even provided a clothes rack. Larry and his partner were on a mission and were able to finish in a timely manner. Wow! Talk about service! And their prices are VERY reasonable. Larry (the owner) and Willy arrived to help me pack my moving truck. Not only were they careful with my things, but when their hands were empty they RAN back inside to get more! Larry even made sure to put padding over the truck's interior light so my furniture wouldn't be damaged. Every detail was paid attention to. They packed up my home and storage unit (2 bed 2 bath) all inside of two hours. When I arrived at my final destination (1400 miles away) nothing had shifted in the truck. The movers I hired to unpack the truck were amazed at how well Precision Movers packed it. Larry must be a Jenga master: I reserved a truck a few feet too short, and he made it all fit. Every single thing. He actually seemed to welcome the challenge. I will be using Precision Movers again if I move back to the area and have already recommended them to family/friends. I had a great experience this past Sunday with Larry and Kelly at Precision Movers. They are hardworking, professional, and very fair when it comes to their rates/charges. For example, they did not start the time clock until after they had arrived, finished their preliminary look through, and actually started moving items. Also, at the end of the move, they took off some time because they felt the move took longer than they had anticipated, which shows they do business in an honest and customer-friendly way. They very carefully wrapped every item in cloths and further wrapped fragile items like TV, mattresses, nightstands, etc in plastic wrap to protect them. Everything made it through the move untarnished (even my crappy IKEA bookshelfs). Moving is typically a painful experience, but hiring these guys made it really easy. Larry, the owner, is the best guy ever. He is a kind and genuine person and this extends into every aspect of his business. He was able to meet me and 3 different locations and end up in the final location with only a few days notice. He and his collegue treated my belongings as if they were there own. They did not let me or my boyfriend lift a finger and they got the move done way faster than expected on a hot summer day. Turns out I had Larry in the past and had remembered him as the 'Best mover ever' but has lost his number. He of course has now gone on to start his own business which I love. I am very picky about the types of businesses I spend money at and I like to support small local businesses that deserve it. Larry is amazing! We recently moved from NYC to Costa Mesa, and during our drive to the west coast decided we never wanted to move anything in or out of a truck again. I called Larry and, on the spot, he gave me a very reasonable quote. When we arrived in Costa Mesa he was very accommodating... we were early, so he met us earlier than anticipated. He moved all of our stuff into the apartment very quickly and was very pleasant during the entire process. We are planning on moving to a more permanent location in a few weeks. We told Larry this, and he gave us an excellent quote again since he knew how much stuff he was dealing with. I cannot recommend Larry enough. For anyone moving to southern California, or anywhere really, Larry is the guy you want to hire. Larry, James, and . . . damn . . . pretty sure it was Dylan (sp?) were awesome. Confirmed with me details in advance by phone. Showed up early. We were moving from one apartment building to the apartment building next door, which involved a bunch of back and forth trips with hand trucks and whatnot. They didn't start the clock until after moving one complete load to get the lay of the land. They were super friendly, professional, respectful, careful, organized, detail-oriented and speedy. It took about twice as long as I expected (because I underestimated how much crap we had to move, not because they were slow) but I still had to insist they eat lunch. My only misgiving was that it took a few days / phone calls / voicemails (then, a full voicemail) to finally get through to Larry. Dude is in high demand. Glad I persisted. I got a hols of Precision Movers as they came up when I rented my U-Haul truck from Houston, TX to Costa Mesa, CA. Larry was very responsive over email and assured me he would take good care of my stuff (especially the item I was most concerned with which was my Washer/Dryer, all-in-one unit - a $1,700 piece of equipment). Larry and his other colleague actually showed up earlier than they were supposed to (like 15 min. earlier) which freaked me out since I know moving companies are always trying to squeeze every dime they can from you and will charge even the 2 seconds they work extra. But that wasn't the case. Larry was very polite and put no pressure on me at all (I was still busy with the property manager touring my apartment complex). These guys moved me into my new apartment in less than 2 hours. They are professionals and I could tell that just by talking to Larry. He observed how my truck arrived and pointed out many issues on how the truck was loaded by the previous company - it all made sense. He knew that my Washer/Dryer, all-in-one unit was supposed to have the moving bolts screwed back in to make the drum stand still while they moved that beast. These guys were professionals. Not even close to the guys I hired in Houston. They do a high quality work and are reasonably priced. They also have a great attitude towards work and you can tell that when they show up, they are not BS-ing and "buying time." They are there to WORK and WORK HARD. I called to get a quote for moving and packing services. They seemed newer but had a few good reviews and were local. It sounded like they answered while on a job so they don't have an office. I got a reasonable quote for 2 packers and Larry said he would give me a call or stop by in the evening to give me a quote because he wasn't sure how much packing materials I would need. Anyway, he never showed and didn't call either. He was booked for the moving day so maybe I wasn't worth the business for just the packing service? I called the next day to see if they could still do the packing. The person that picked up clearly spoke with Larry because I heard him say its that lady you were supposed to meet last night. They talked some more and the next thing I hear is, Larry's away from the truck, can he give you a call back? I called in the morning and still have not heard back at 3pm. If they don't want the job, they can just let me know instead of keeping me hanging so I can find another company. Luckily, I was able to find another company with a comparable rate. Will never give these guys a call back for sure. read more

We were so impressed with this company. Larry is truly a great guy and amazing at his job. Our move had a few hiccups but Larry took care of us and charged us hardly anything. We were supposed to have 3 guys move us from HB to lake forest. One guy called in sick the morning of and Our move was larger then Larry had originally thought so he had booked another move that day. Larry showed up on a Saturday on time with only 1 other mover, Willy and his largest truck. These 2 worked so hard and so carefully. They are so respectful, kind and courteous as they are moving. They were sweet to my toddler. They were conscientious of not dinging our walls or furniture. One dresser had a chip and Larry pointed it out to me, didnt try to hide it. They wrapped all furniture with plastic. Nothing was broken. They hooked up our washer, dryer, put all the beds together and rebuilt the crib. At 10:30pm after a 15 hour day they asked me what else could they do for us and were smiling. They ended up bringing a 3rd guy on halfway through the day and having to make a 2nd trip to get all of our items. Larry didnt charge me for any of that. For a 15 hour day, I was charged less then $600. Larry wouldn't let me tip him either, he just asked us to give it to his guys, he said they needed it more then him. So I will reccomend this company to everyone I meet who needs a mover. These are the most hardworking guys I have ever met. They have big hearts. They will take care of you and your belongings. Buy them a good lunch or dinner, or both if you have a long move like I did. They take no breaks an they're literally running carrying your boxes and furniture all day long. Tip them well. Best moving experience of my life!!! My sister and I were moving very late notice, and called Larry. He offered to even do it that evening but opted for the next morning. His truck was already booked for a job, so we rented a uhaul and Larry and Brett met us at the storage unit. They did in an hour and a half what it took the other guys that moved us in there 6 hours to do. The second location for a pick up was a 3rd floor apartment, and even then they were quick and efficient and in very good spirits. Both men were accommodating, efficient and very likeable! I've never had anything to rave about, but Precision Movers made a yelper out of me! I honestly can not express how blown away i am with Larry. My fiance and I moved from one apartment to another (10 mins away) and needed help with the larger furniture (couches,desks,bed) . I called Larry on Wednesday and set up our move for 6pm on Friday. Larry called at about 1pm on Friday to tell me he was going to be late but promised he would NOT bail on me. It wasn't an inconvenience to me and I was understanding about his current move not being as expected and taking longer. Larry showed up a few hours late with Kelly and got right to work. Super nice and professional. Did I mention I was moving from a third floor? The fact that they had been moving stuff ALL DAY, only to come to my house at night and have to carry stuff 3 flights of stairs- if that's not dedication then I don't know what is. We got an awesome deal due to them being late which in turn caused some issues when moving into the new place, since we couldn't move in after 10pm (lame).What struct me about Larry was that he not only was dedicated and professional but he GENUINELY CARED. I have never written a yelp review but this experience deserves more than just word of mouth to my friends and family. Larry and Kelly at Precision Movers were a fantastic help to me last weekend. I was moving for the first time in California and had no idea who to choose. It was complete happenstance that I called Larry first at Precision Movers and he was not only affordable but very helpful. I just felt I could trust him from the moment I spoke with him. I hung up the phone and called many other places to compare prices and felt so confident when I called Larry back to schedule my move. Before the move even happened, Larry went out of his way to help me with referrals and supplies. It just so happened- They had extra boxes that he dropped off at my place!!! He also suggested the most fantastic storage unit and I had been searching for a month prior. The day of the move was unbelievable. Larry and Kelly are so efficient but so careful at the same time. He not only moved me to my current home but also a second stop at the storage unit where he made a great point, I could save by getting a smaller unit.
