They also want to really charge what better, cleaner places honestly advertise - Or more I had phone issues so I didn't see what they did for several months but going from the advertised price to more than double . It's hiway robbery made easy as they do it in autopay . Beware ! I moved in in Sept a 5x8 price supposedly for a 6x7 was going to move my larger storage here , but instead it went up right away and was to have doubled on the 2nd . I'm moving out ! read more

I had an overall great experience at US storage off of superior in Costa Mesa. David, the property manager is excellent at his job. He is kind, full of knowledge and humble which is a great combination for customers who are hesitant with renting out a storage space. I expressed what I needed out of a storage unit and time frame. He was respectful and I felt heard with my requests for what I hoped for. I was in the process of moving this month and this location made the process so much easier for what I needed and the access hours were doable with my work schedule. I believe it's from 6 am to 9 pm. They have storage units inside and outside. I chose an inside storage unit where I used an app that unlocked the front entrance gate and door to the storage building. You also have the option to manually enter a personalized code if this is a better fit for you. You can purchase a lock for your unit at US storage or bring your own. They have flat beds available for use. And, they will apply a coupon for a discount if you make a donation to their charity Kure It that supports research for cancer. They also have an area where you can drop off items that you decide you no longer need from your storage unit that goes to those in need. Overall, this is a well rounded business that I felt was a good value for my buck. I am giving this place 5 stars because of all considerations listed above. Before I finish my review, I would like to provide a few tips to make the experience smooth. If you are using the app on your phone for access through the front gate and into the storage building, proximity is key for your phone connecting to the system. It took me some time to catch on. I would recommend practicing a few times at the front entrance before you start using your storage unit. The other tip is, as always watch your surroundings at night. This storage unit is fully gated but the surrounding areas make it easy for others to be in close proximity with you even when they are not on the actual property. Safety is always key so just be mindful of this. If you keep this in mind, you should be just fine! I always had others with me to help unload so if you are able to bring a loved one or friend this is also helpful as guests are welcome to accompany you. read more

Wow! I have always had a storage unit for extra "stuff" so I've tested a lot of facilities! This place is awesome! It's always very clean, the staff here is super friendly and they will find a way to help you with any problem/issue you might have. And I said you might because I've never had one!! The manager, David runs a tight ship! I don't know if I can say his name? I saw him hands on with the landscaping guys telling them exactly how he expected things to be done. At the same time very friendly and helpful. Cleo and Ana are some of the names of awesome employees I remember. I don't know how but it seems that David is always in a good mood and that in itself is a breath of fresh air. Keep up the good work! Don't rent here unless you want your unit infested with rats. My entire unit smelled like urine and there was tons of feces When I finally was able to move out. I mentioned it to management several times and they just said "well we know you didn't bring it". Yeah no kidding... I saw a few other empty units when I was moving out and they were also infested. This place is under new ownership and used to be Superior Self Storage. We've had a unit here for a few years now. They are reasonably priced but the facility has been in need up some updating. We've seen used needles/syringes on the ground and what looks like a person who lives out of their storage unit during business hours. The groundskeeper was very friendly though and we reported everything we saw. It looks like the new management has cleaned a lot of this up and has made some good esthetic and safety improvements as well. I'm positive the change has been a good thing! read more
