DO NOT RENT FROM ANY PUBLIC STORAGE FACILITY!! Onsite Staff are great people BUT Corporate is what makes this place DECEITFUL and SHADY!! Corporate offices of Public Storage raised our rate 40% in 4 months and after asking around will raise it continuously thereafter every quarter! Nobody tells you when you sign up that they will raise your rate up 40% or more. So why would you think as much. They wait for you to move in get everything settled and Hit you with this increase expecting you to pay it! Here is the kicker! I went online and at the same facility for a bigger unit they offered it for less than what I was paying. This Shady practice shows you they are willing to let renters go just so they can get people to pay the increase. And if they don't and you move out they do it to the next person. I will be reporting to Better Business Bureau as well as telling everyone I know never to rent from this terrible company. I called corporate office and they basically said there is nothing they can do because it's based on demand. even though I told them I see open units at the facility. It took me 10 minutes to find a storage facility closer to my home with better access hours and 25% less than what I am paying. Already confirmed with new place that they only do rate adjustments every 9 months and the maximum they have done was 9% during a high time. This is acceptable. I made a mistake in signing up with PUBLIC STORAGE but I hope this review helps others in not making the same mistake. I truly hope that public storage corporate reads this and gets their act together. I guess for now I will use my only consumer power and move!! Very clean, secure and safe storage facilities. The location is convenient for Eastside Costa Mesa and Newport Beach. There is not an agent on site but any questions or issues are easily resolved with a quick phone call. I highly recommend. read more

This site does NOT have a Security guard and it does NOT have a sitting manager on site. You physically have to call them to request help/ in person service. I have used over 5 public storage facilities over Southern California this is the worst. My things were stollen twice out of my unit- twice... The storage complex didn't call me to notify me, I had to find out when I went to my unit and found that my things have been stolen/ the lock broken. I had over $5,000 dollars worth of items stolen, and the complex did not offer me reimbursement/ assistance in locating the items or moving me to a new unit. Please - do not store here, and do not let the reviews fool you. This is a terrible/ unsafe place to store anything of value. read more

This place rented us a unit knowing it was leaking, as we spoke to the previous tenant. After 10months we opened our unit and everything was damaged and destroyed, filled with black mold. They do not care, do not want to help, and have the worse customer service. In addition, they purposely make the elevator not work, as we complained about how to move all everything out, and they said they would turn it on for us. Meaning they put signs out saying elevator is out of order, when it isn't, they just want to make their tenants life difficult. DO NOT RENT HERE EVER! read more

Susannah, who is the manager there, is very helpful and went the extra mile to make sure I understood all the intricacies as far as billing as I changed over from one storage unit to a smaller one. As we walked in, she was already in a bust with another customer on the phone, but as we watched her with a respective polite attitude and 6 Star support, we knew we had come to the right place. At first, we received some bad news that somebody had taken our reserved unit, but then Suzanna pulled some magical shit, and walla, we got hooked up with even better. Sean has been very helpful throughout our entire rental from set up to close out. We have multiple units and recently vacated one. He was prompt in his follow up. He is always professional, friendly and thorough. He makes the process easy and simple. Our units were/are safe with excellent climate control. We find the areas and equipment always well maintained. Our things stored remained clean and in good condition. Public Storage with climate control is the way to go. The elevator has been out of service for over 10 days with no repair date in site. Every time I ask the office about it they just say sorry and ask me to call the district manager. Eric, the person who works in the office was very unhelpful and besides being rude and snarky with his responses he also completely lacks customer service skills and communication skills. This facility is way to expensive to not have these problems rectified immediately. I do not recommend this facility at all. read more

DO NOT EVER rent from here unless you want your things stolen! I rented a unit from here when I was moving between apartments. The rolling door came off the hinges and almost fell on my girlfriend. When we reported what happened, they did nothing about it, did not apologize, did not give us a new locker, or a refund. Our belongs sat in an OPEN locker for almost a week because the joke of a manager did nothing to fix what happened. To top it off he was not sorry in the least and I had to call the corporate office just to get a PARTIAL refund. I also had to go pay for another storage unit on top of that. I have rented at different public storages and they are usually great but stay away from this one and its awful manager! read more

Tif was the best - and provided a bunch of laugher in a mundane moving day! Right after I applied for a unit online I promptly received a phone call from a very polite man explain the hours of operation and when could see by unit that day if interested. Upon our visit he walked us thoroughly through codes, payments, requirements, etc. it was honestly the best storage unit move in process I've experienced. They had all the packing and moving supplies readily available, which was helpful because I forgot a blanket to cover my dresser in. The location is easy to access, right off the 55. The facility was nice and clean - very organized. I highly suggest using this Public Storage. read more

Beware of thieves!! My storage was broken into however the lock was intact. Add a padlock to your locks for extra security. There are no cameras in hallways inside storage areas. The worst part is the lack of concern by staff! I also emailed customer service and no reply. The thief took my husband and my son's jewelry boxes which were extra special because they are both in heaven, they took 2 TVs & the one that was coming with me was wrapped with my son's blanket. The store worker said not much they could do, I was still in disbelief asking what to do and asked if I should file a police report and he said let me go through the video first. This facility has big problems !!!! We have had a unit for years...while there last, it was rat infested, the elevator was working without use of a security code and two homeless men were on my floor! One man went and used the restroom and then proceeded to exit the main gate using the access code!!!!! I was alone and frightened to be there! Rates have gone up and quality is way down. I rented two inside storage units, one of which was broken into and many family heirlooms stolen. The perpetrator had pushed on the roll up door and bent the latch allowing access. Very cheap construction. The rear door to the building was neither alarmed, nor security cameras in that area, allowing free access to the street behind. The facility is clean, but provides a false sense of security. The rental fee was fair in the beginning, but was raised every 6 months on each unit. I moved out on 8/31/2020. The office is closed a few days a week, so I used the number on the self help kiosk to notify them. They said they would have to have an on site manager verify my move out. Unfortunately, they did not verify until September 2, so they sent an email threatening collections. I had to call accounting, then the distract manager and leave a message. They charged my card on file, but then reversed it. read more
