Pacific Moving Company was a pleasure to help me with my move! I researched some other places and they responded to be the quickest via Yelp with the best deal! I called and was able to make an appointment almost immediately. Deposit was easy and the movers arrived promptly the day of my move at 9am. Matthew and Alex (the movers) helped my boyfriend and I move from our one bedroom apartment to a house. I was surprised by how big of a truck they brought as I expected to take several trips. This saved us some drive time! They took great care of all my furniture as well as provide some moving boxes. They carefully wrapped my large furniture items and helped us come up with a strategy to move as I had to also relocate some items to my parents house. They took care of my apartment to my parents house to exchange furniture there to my new house then back to my parents and again back to my new house! Matthew and Alex were so sweet and hard working with a positive "we can do anything you need" attitude! They took their work seriously and made sure everything was done efficiently. EDIT: Wow, I am so shocked about the owner's comment. First of all, I am sorry, I gave $240 to Matthew ($20 tip for each person) so... I hope the owner knew that LOL. I DID NOT ask for any discount when I called for a quote; the owner GAVE me that price right away. In my review, I never said anything about how entitled I was about the time and day. I said I was very grateful about how accommodating about the time and how affordable the price was. I did not call or anything after to ask for any refund. The owner also mentioned we have all small boxes, and that is false. I have receipts to show you we bought about 25 ranging from small, medium, to large boxes from Home Depot. Even if I only had small stuff, no one should still OPEN my stuff WITHOUT asking. I never asked Matthew to park my trailer or U-Haul, he offered (yes I was struggling a bit but I would get it eventually LOL). I also didn't MAKE him unload the cars, I ASKED. They finished the U-Haul in 1.5 hours. But yelpers, go ahead, use your own judgement. Read my review and read the owner's response. Never a word I have disrespected this company, the owner, and the movers. We just moved to Irvine last week and I was about to give a 5-star review after we are now settled down more. I was very grateful for Matthew and the other person (didn't get his name) because they were willing to come at 6pm on a Saturday. We tried our best to come here as soon as we could since we traveled from Northern California, and they were very understanding of our situation and was so accommodating. Matthew and his partner were so fast and even helped us unload both of our cars on top of the uhaul, but I think because of how late it was, there were a couple things that became unprofessional. 1) They dropped my heavy item when I was around, and they didn't say anything about it. I hope my kitchenware is working and there weren't more things that were dropped. 2) I understand it was easier to take stuff out and gather everything to see how to take everything efficiently because we live on the second floor. However, they were putting our stuff on top of the trash bins, and that was just kind of gross, but good that our community had pretty clean trash area. 3) We had an enclosed coat cover stand that was meant to keep our clean coats/blazers unfolded. Just now we were confused why we couldn't find some stuff. I realized, as they moved, they UNZIPPED my cover stand and put boxes in there. They DID NOT ask any of us about it and I find that extremely unprofessional. If they asked, I honestly would have helped or have been okay with it. It was not okay to open my stuff without my permission. If I saw #3 at the moment, I would not have tipped as generous as I did. I was glad they could help us that late on a Saturday, but these things could have been kept professionally. This is mainly why I could only give a 3-star review. If I ever had to move to somewhere under their service area, I would probably still go with PMC again because of the affordable price. YES THEY DID A TERRIFIC JOB! I mean that! Every min they spent making sure the job was done and done right. Everything was wrapped, taken apart, and put back together. Respectful guys, I wish I was home with the receipt that I had asked them to give the names. Honestly the pricing is more than fair. I even purchased a closet box. The $50 deposit is so easy to hold your spot. They finished moving 2 bedrooms (New house has stairs) in under 2.5hrs. I applauded them! I was nervous about hiring a moving company due to hearing/reading one too many horror stories. I must have contacted a dozen companies and ultimately chose Pacific Moving Company due to their rate and their responsiveness. Placing a deposit was super easy, sent an email, clicked on link, done. I was advised my movers would arrive between 8am and 9am, they arrived at 8:50am. I was moving from a 3rd floor unit to another 3rd floor unit less than 4 miles away. Matthew and Alex were awesome! I was moving from Orange County, CA to Issaquah, WA due to Job Transfer. As excited as I was regarding the new job, I was terrified of this long distance move. My wife and I both have heard numerous horrifying stories about the long distance moves such as bait (quoted price) and switch (actual price). Movers taking their time packing and unpacking and thus charging more. Movers taking 7-10 days to move you as they wait to combine other customers with you. Movers using outsourced companies to move you etc... I found Pacific Moving Company and two other moving companies at Yelp. They all had great reviews, but the other two fit into the above mentioned categories, one was moving three families and the other seemed to have outsourced their moving. Pacific Moving Company was not the cheapest but gave me a flat rate. They also ensured me that there will not be any hidden cost that will appear on the move date. They also provided us with the packing materials of boxes and tapes. Day of the move, packing up: Our driver, Russell came in with 5 helpers. He was very professional and explained all the packing, pickup and drop off in details. They packed our kitchen,pantry area and disassembled and packed our bedroom furniture. All in all, they were done in 6 hours, but I didn't have to worry about it, since I had a flat rate. Russell also told us that he will drive the truck with our stuff to Issaquah, WA and will be there to supervise unloading. Azad and Renton, the managers of the companies, also stopped by to ensure everything was going smooth. Unpacking: We had three bedrooms, living room,kitchen, pantry and garage with my woodworking tools. Russell, our driver was there but the unloading crew was local. They unloaded everything and assembled the bedroom furniture and we were able to sleep in our beds that night. Of course there are still unpacked boxes that we will slowly unpack and put away. All in all, Pacific Moving company was great and I can say with confidence that my fears were put to rest by hiring them to move us. After hearing great things about this company we chose them. After an under estimated quote that cost us $4000 extra. We were not pleased. On top of that we lost 23 boxes/crates of personal and irreplaceable items. This is the worst experience I have ever had. We lost almost $12,000 worth of personal items. Matthew and Miguel were the two guys that showed up on my move day, they showed up on time worked fast and efficiently but also were friendly. They got all of our stuff packed and unloaded at the new place within a decent amount of time 5-6 hours from a 1 bedroom apt (we had tons of stuff about 50 boxes and furniture) to our new place. One gripe I had was my daughter's dresser had some paint stripped from it when tape was used to wrap it in a moving blanket. Rebooking was never a problem, I never lost my deposit. And when we were finally ready to move, they went above and beyond to pick up her belongings and meet us the next day at the storage facility. It's been a few weeks since I hired Pacific Moving Co. to move my 87 year old parents out of their retirement home to live closer to family. Ben sent his crew of 2 men to pack the truck and move us nearly 400 miles away just a couple weeks before Christmas. Everything worked out perfectly! I was very stressed out about this big move with my Dad being in poor health. These movers were fast, efficient, honest and so helpful. They told me when time would start and told me when time was stopped with their packing. The next day, they arrived at the new house and was met by my sister who coordinated all the furniture being placed in the proper rooms. When I pulled up in the car with my parents, all of the furniture was in place. My sister was really pleased with PCM also. Everyone couldn't believe how fast and hard the guys worked our load! They aren't even done yet but I wish I could give 100 stars. First of all, they saved my ass when a different moving company bailed at 830pm the day they were supposed to arrive(Movers Depot SD). Pacific Moving Co were at my house less than 12 hours after contacting them (I reached out at 9pm and got a response within minutes saying they could save the day!). I'm now relieved the other company bailed to get an opportunity to use these guys. They packed my room up in the blink of an eye- even including wrapping up my massive dresser.
