I found this moving company on Yelp and hired them for a local move (for a 2 bedroom apartment) from OC to San Bernardino County. From the start, communication and scheduling were super easy; everything was clearly explained and confirmed, which I really appreciated. The 3-person crew showed up right on time and even gave me a heads-up before arriving. They were easy to talk to, careful with all my stuff, and kept me updated about their breaks and lunch so I always knew what was going on. We had a small hiccup when the closest elevator broke down for about half an hour, but the movers handled it really well and just worked around it without stressing. The move went smoothly overall, and nothing got damaged. The final price was exactly what they quoted; no surprises or hidden fees. Overall, it was a great experience. The movers were friendly, professional, and transparent the whole time. I'd definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable moving team. read more

First time using movers and they made our move super easy! Arrived on time and emails leading up to the move were very detailed in what to expect the day of. Ilia and Bars were our movers and they were super quick and careful to wrap and load all our belongings into the truck, while double checking with any delicate items (such as plants) we'd prefer to move ourselves than into the truck. They moved the majority of our belongings upstairs with no problem and were super communicative and transparent about any hesitations they had. I want it noted that the next level for quoting was "studio" and i didn't have items for a studio. I didn't move a bed or couch or tv or anything of that nature. No dining furniture. I had so little items that the mover said he could deliver it all BY HIMSELF with one person. That should be a note of how little was being moved. It was never communicated what "a few items" actually means. to me, clothes, boxes, and no major heavy furniture ARE a few items. I don't understand what the $1470 quote with labor is for if not for the items I had. THIS is the misleading part and quite frankly, I feel taken advantage of. My other grievances were not addressed. Violating privacy and breaching confidence by contacting my parents who are not on the contract for payment. read more

I've moved every two years for my entire life. Hands down I have never had better movers than Greg and Tim. They were the most hard working, polite, and friendly. I am very uptight about my vintage pieces and glassware they delivered everything in perfect condition and were so patient with my every request. These guys showed up almost exactly at the beginning of the time window I was given. They took a walkthrough and got a handle on what was going on and went straight to work. They were fast and efficient and treated everything with the utmost care. They were very nice gentlemen and even laughed at my jokes! I would definitely hire them again. I have some things that are junk and some things that were made by my grandpa and Dad, and I didn't even feel the need to call out the important pieces because they were extremely careful with everything. I am writing regarding the situation that occurred with my move with NEXT moving company on November 9 and 10, 2023. I contacted Next moving through Yelp on October 23, 2023 and spoke with Ian and requested an in person estimate. He told me that he would do a Zoom estimate with me. I explained to him that I was concerned about a zoom estimate, at which time he told me that that are pretty accurate with Zoom estimates and that I should be fine. I walked through room by room, garage and outdoors, with him via zoom and he explained that he would send a great team to do all of my packing and moving. I told him that I was not packing anything and that I expected that the packers would do all of my packing in addition to moving to two different locations: A storage facility in Ventura and a residence in Camarillo. In response he said that I would need two trucks for two days. Each truck would cost 79.00 each per day with a total of 158.00 per day. I was sent an estimate from Ian at Next moving company with a total of $335.00 per day for two days and $158.00 per truck for two trucks per day ($5676.00). I asked about full coverage insurance and was told that they did not provide any full coverage and that I would have to contact an independent insurer. I paid over 10,000.00 for services (prolonged by moving team). I asked them why did I need two trucks for two days. Ian's response was that I needed two trucks because while they were unloading my items in first truck at the storage facility, the second truck would be packing my items at the house. Please refer to the attached emails. * Drivers arrived on December 9, 2023 On the day of packing Fedo arrived at my house in the first truck one hour late with two men. He was scheduled to arrive at 8:30 but arrived around 9:30 am. An hour later Sergio arrived with two additional men. One of the crew started smoking in my garage. I called the company and spoke with Ian and Archie about one of their crew smoking. Ian and Archie agree that his crew member should not smoke on the job. Subsequently, they said that they would not send him back out. On November 10, they sent the same guy back out and apparently told him, according to Fedo, not to smoke. Because of the lack of organization of my things and lack of labeling, I have been unable to locate many of my items (i.e., my ipad and ipod, my back up drives for my computers, my dog's food, some of my food, my crystals from the curio and some of my check books) to name a few. It is day the th day of my move and I have been unable to organize my household because I cannot locate the items that I need. I located some of my jewelry and it was broken. I have been extremely dissatisfied about what they did and how they did it. The organizational and communication skills were lacking. I requested that they label each room and what was in the boxes, but to my dismay that was not accomplished. This move has cause me to become depressed. They were very careless with my items and irresponsible with packing. The service that was promised was not provided other then moving the items. The moving of my items to the storage appears appropriate but the packing I am unable to speak about since I have not opened the boxes that are in my storage. If it is anything like how they packed my items are an indication of how they packed the items that were moved to my townhouse, then I am very concerned. None of my items were wrapped (see image). They broke my jewelry (bracelet). I cannot locate other jewelry. I have been working hard to go through boxes but since there were no label choosing which box to go through has been hard. Unfortunately, I have not been able to locate many of my personal items. They threw items in my drawers unprotected. They threw all of my electronics in boxes unprotected. For example, Ajax was placed open with personal belongings. Ian, Next Moving, advised me that I would need 16 hours of packing and moving. Email response received from Ian at Next Moving, "Disputing transactions doesn't benefit clients. There have been instances of people trying to abuse the system for free services, which our company does not tolerate. We always try to help clients who act in good faith. Additionally, I would like to highlight that our company highly values its clients. As a loyal customer, you are eligible for a 10% discount on your next project with us. Alternatively, we offer a 5% discount to any friends you refer who are planning a move. This is our way of showing appreciation for your continued trust in our services. If you initiate a dispute, it's now not in the hands of our Claims Department. We haven't seen the dispute yet, but if it's confirmed, we'll no longer be able to discuss this directly, and the case will be transferred to our legal department. Furthermore, I must inform you that following this dispute, our company will not be available to assist with the remainder of your move. I hesitated writing this out of fear. read more

Review of Nex Moving Company - My Experience I hired Moving Company regarding my relocation from California to Virginia. Unfortunately, the service I received was highly unsatisfactory and raised serious concerns about professionalism and transparency. 1. Misrepresentation of Estimates: I requested an in‑person estimate, but the company insisted that sending a video of my belongings would be sufficient. They assured me in writing that their calculation was accurate, based on experience and computer systems, and that there wouod be minimal price increase. Despite this, they later added approximately 400 cubic feet to the estimate. During loading, numerous empty and partially filled boxes were placed among my belongings, inflating the apparent volume. The additional charges collected were not refunded. 2. Unfair Price Increase: At the quoting stage, their price was about 5% lower than competitors, with written assurance that the estimate was precise. However, after loading and departure, they issued a revised invoice with nearly 100% increase (around $10,000), claiming the weight was higher than their estimate. Moreover, they refused to deliver my belongings until the full disputed invoice was paid, disregarding the advance payment I had already made. 3. Damage and Negligence: The handling of my items caused significant damage both at the loading site and at the delivery location, as well as to the belongings themselves. 4. Unprofessional Conduct: One of the company's staff displayed unprofessional behavior by inspecting and showing curiosity in boxes that were not sealed, which was inappropriate and unacceptable. Conclusion: Based on my experience, I found Nex Moving Company to be unreliable and unprofessional. Their practices caused financial loss, property damage, and unnecessary stress. I strongly advise future customers to exercise caution and to seek written guarantees that are honored in practice, not just in words. read more

We had Pavel and his team (3 total) for our move, and they were fantastic. They were respectful, detail-oriented, and took great care of our belongings. We moved from a second-floor apartment to a nearby storage unit, and everything was packed in such an organized and functional way that we'll have no trouble finding items or moving them out when the time comes. They were neat, didn't leave a mess, and made sure all of our items were well protected. Every piece was handled with care and packed with precision. The move took about 7.5 hours, so it was definitely a full-day job, but the team maintained a positive attitude throughout and communicated clearly the entire time. Overall, we were very impressed with the movers themselves and their professionalism. The only area for improvement had nothing to do with Pavel or his team, but rather with the administrative side of scheduling. When requesting a quote through Yelp, we specifically needed an afternoon move. Many companies could only offer morning availability, but we were given the option of either 8:30-9:30am or 2-5pm, and we chose this company because they confirmed the 2-5pm window even after we sent the list of items we had to move. After paying the deposit and signing the agreement, we were told we'd receive our ETA the day before the move. When that email arrived, the ETA was changed to 8:30-9:30am. After explaining that we needed the originally agreed-upon 2-5pm window, we were told it wouldn't be possible and that protocol required an earlier start time. Again, this issue was strictly related to scheduling and not a reflection of the movers, who did an excellent job. read more

I recently purchased a new home and had to move everything from my apartment, so I hired Next Moving Company to help with the process. Overall, the experience was positive, and I'd recommend them, with a few honest notes for anyone considering their service. Two movers came out to our place, and they were very kind, professional, and extremely helpful. They handled all of our big furniture with care, including wrapping everything securely and taking apart our bed, which they reassembled at the new house. They definitely saved my husband and me a lot of time and physical stress. The move took about 6.5 hours, which was longer than I expected since I didn't feel we had a ton of stuff. That said, I do appreciate that they took extra time to ensure everything was properly protected during the move, especially the TVs and larger furniture. Now, for the honest part: I do think the price was a little on the expensive side. I was also told I'd get up to a 50% discount if I posted a story on social media. Both my husband and I did, but they claimed only one of us posted, which was frustrating and felt a bit misleading. First time using a moving company. Situation: We're moving from 1bed 1bath 750sqft, hired 3 movers at $155/hr (paid cash), on a Saturday at Orange, CA. Moved from 4th story apartment with elevators to 2nd story apartment with stairs. Job was done in 3.5 hours. Heavy items included couch, big TV, queen bed, tables, shelves, etc. We packed most of our goods beforehand. Communication: Archie answered my myriad of questions via email and phone. Prior to the job, I received many reminders of the upcoming move. During and after the move, Ian checked in to make sure I was happy and asked if I had questions. Day of Move: The foreman (Fyodor) and his team arrived within estimated window - they were fast, efficient, and professional. They explained to me their process, answered my concerns and kept me posted on time. They helped pack any loose/unpacked items in wardrobe boxes. At the destination, they placed items in designated locations and had a clever way of moving couch upstairs Criticisms: a. Please make the "small one-time destination fee" more obvious in future emails. b. Pictures I sent to the initial rep were not seen by foreman and crew. Despite the info I sent over to Next Moving office, foreman + crew arrived at my place with little intel. Perhaps this is their process or comms between office + crew could use improvement? Verdict: Very happy with this team and will happily try them again! read more

We've now paid in full, but let's be real--not because we agreed to their shady, trumped-up charges, but because they held our property hostage. This wasn't a fair resolution. It was straight-up extortion. Looking back, it's clear this was the plan all along. They moved the heaviest item first, then 12 hours into the job, blindsided us with a last-minute liability waiver we never agreed to. When we refused to sign something that was never disclosed upfront, they abandoned the job, took our property, and then had the audacity to tack on storage fees for the very items they stole. They didn't just hold our property--they manufactured a way to overcharge us for getting it back. And even after forcing us to pay under duress just to recover what's rightfully ours, they're still out here running their defamation tour, posting false claims instead of handling business. Rather than owning up to their own actions, they'd rather fabricate fraud accusations, manipulate online platforms, and attack us publicly to cover up their own misconduct. This isn't a moving company--it's a shake-down disguised as a business. If you ever run into an issue, don't expect professionalism or fairness. Expect deception, gaslighting, and a hefty bill for the problems they created. Avoid them at all costs. read more

I can only provide the highest possible recommendation for the Next Moving Company. The three movers who were hired for this project are thoroughly professional, efficient, prompt, and reliable. Today's moving process involved four different locations. Everything was strategically planned as to what items must go where and when. If you're looking for great movers - hire Next! After my last move, I was super apprehensive about hiring the wrong movers and getting stuck in a bind. I reached out to a few companies via Yelp, and what struck me was the owner, Ian, who answered all my questions, was super kind and patient, and was committed to making my move as easy as possible. I was especially appreciative that an earlier slot in the day opened up and he reached out to see if I wanted it. (If you can...the 8am slot makes the day so much easier.) I was a little nervous because Next was the cheapest quote I got, and had the fewest reviews, and I was hoping it wasn't too good to be true. On moving day, the two movers I had were great. Sergei and Juriy worked quickly, efficiently, wore their masks, and were careful with my items. Ian also stopped by to say hi (from a distance) and check that I was satisfied with the move in progress. That kind of customer care means a lot and reaffirmed that I was in great hands. The whole move was finished just a couple minutes under 3 hours, which was a huge relief. Even though the move hasn't happened yet I felt compelled to leave these guys a five-star review based on how accommodating they have been with all the hiccups that have pushed my move date back. Ian has been in constant contact with me since that first email with the quotes, shortly after that email (and I want to emphasize the word "shortly" because it was about 15 minutes after that email) we scheduled a FaceTime session to start planning the strategy for the move (pre-planning = saving money $$$). Unfortunately, curfews and street cleaning have pushed the original date from June 1st to June 5th, and one final date change to July 1st. Ian and his team have been understanding and supportive, despite the fact that we have had to reschedule three times already! All they have shown is a willingness to work with us and give us something less to worry about during a very stressful time. I will update the review when the move happens but I honestly don't see how Next Moving's rate will decrease, if anything, I would imagine I will add more good things to say, as they have been the utmost professionals since the moment we first contacted them. read more

Alex & his team of 3 total movers were friendly and hard working throughout the move, even with our 2 flights of stairs and LOTs of stuff both in and out of boxes. It took from 2:45-9:15 and they were on it the whole time. Edited: unfortunately when we turned our 85" TV on this morning, which along with 2 dressers and a mattress, was the primary reason for hiring movers, it was broken beyond repair. We are hoping something can be done. Edited 7/29 - to add just a few screenshots of when we did speak on the phone several times (from different phone numbers as well?). In these phone calls, the customer service rep (Mark) offered us a retroactive $300 discount (that he asked us not to post about due to worries about other customers trying to "blackmail" or ask for "handouts"). This $300 would only be Zelled to us if we changed our review to 5 stars. It's interesting because before booking, I read reviews so I would love to think they're not bribing customers for reviews. I recently hired this team to help me move and I had a great experience. I found them on yelp and decided to go with them because of their good reviews which they definitely lived up to it. Their whole team is very professional, once I sent my request a customer service rep reached out to ask some questions and they made sure to offer all the services they had available and brought up some ways to save money. When it came time to do the big move, the movers that came by did an amazing job. They were very communicative the whole way through, they explained every step of the process. They were also very transparent about pricing. They did a great job at wrapping up all of our furniture and loaded everything up quickly and securely. All of our things were in perfect condition. I had to move due to issues with repairs never being done and mold because my landlord is a slumlord. (Do NOT rent from C&S Apartments!) Anyway, the movers the 2nd time around were nice, professional and as quick as could be considering they were helping me pack up to move my belongings into a storage unit. They didn't waste time and were kind. BUT they failed to wrap my solid cherry wood bed set in moving blankets which resulted in all my furniture being scratched up and damaged in the 3rd move, where once again they did NOT wrap my items when moving them out of storage, into the van and then into my new apartment. On the 3rd move the Forman was upset that there were 2 flights of stairs to move the dresser up, despite me saying so in the questionnaire when booking. The Forman said to me that they'd have to charge extra for the stairs. Which I said NO to because that should have been done in the estimate. He kept saying the dresser was heavy... well, your company loved it twice already and no one else whined about it. He then told me, " if you give us a bigger tip, we won't have to charge for it." I let him know that they moved the same dresser up the stairs to the last apartment and didn't charge extra. He also dragged out ending the moving time because he wanted more hours. I literally had to bring boxes in to try to counteract his stalling tactic. Unfortunately, it didnt help because he then hid in the truck while the other 2 guys were putting together my bed. My couch cushion was damaged and they broke a dresser drawer. I was told they'd come and fix it, but 3 months later they never did. I had to go buy the wood glue and do it myself. The company doesn't have full insurance, so don't bother if something major) like my solid wood night stand) gets damaged. You will not be compensated for it. I did get some money for the leather couch cover, but not enough to purchase a new one. Find a company that has full insurance and will own up to their mistakes, if made. There are so many scratches and chips on my bed set. Not to mention missing feet caps that were not missing before the 2nd move. This 3rd move left me with damaged furniture and no accountability for fixing it when they said they would. Instead I was told, "it's the end of the month and we have a lot of moves. Your repair is not a priority." So much for being a loyal customer who had used them 3 times. FIND A BETTER COMPANY! THIS ONE IS NO LONGER GOOD!
