Talk about a quick response to our drainage leakage underneath our home. Andy from Purdy Plumbing mentioned that the pipes under the laundry and past the kitchen were completely corroded and it looked like it was leaking for some time. The ground was saturated from all of the waste and contamination of the soil and recommended PRC Restoration to come out. Within a half hour, I was greeted by Oscar the project manager from PRC and his crew of Ricardo and Enoch. Oscar had his crew crawl underneath and confirmed the contamination. He explained to me in great detail what they had to do. The nice thing was that both the plumbers and PRC crew worked together which made this job quicker. Oscar then wrote up the work order & estimate and was able to work out a lower pricing for me and we proceeded with the job. All of the contaminated soil consisting of over 200 lbs had to be removed and replaced using sanitizing ground material to prevent any mold or mildew. The crew spent many hours drying underneath and the job was complete. My many thanks to Oscar and his crew for taking care of this problem and to Marisol at the office for being pleasant on the phone and gathering some more info needed that PRC provides. I (unfortunately) have had PRC Restoration out to our property 3 times in the past 18 months. The first time was for repairs to my individual condo unit due to water damage from my neighbor. PRC needed to replace drywall and baseboards and they did a great job matching and making everything look like it did before. I was very happy with the job and I am very picky with how work is done in my home. The other two times were to repair more water damaged areas in our common area hallways. Again, they matched the baseboards perfectly and the paint also matched exactly. They cleaned up after each time, were on time, and got the job done in the expected amount of time. Hopefully I do not need them again anytime soon, but if I do, I would not hesitate to call them. read more

PRC did a great job in helping us deal with kitchen slab leak damage that destroyed wood flooring and cabinets. Worked well with our insurance (Allstate). Removed flooring, carpet and pad, lower cabinets and drywall in 3 affected rooms. Coordinated with mold abatement testing and removal services. Carefully packed and stored all kitchen and dining room furniture and items including china cabinet and contents. They provided a pictorial inventory for our use. Excellent service. Quick response. We had our own contractor do the rebuild, but they have that service as well. 5 stars for each aspect they handled! They took great care of us! read more

Biggest scam ever! They caused unnecessary damage to our property in the name of "mold" after a flood when I had already directed them not to touch our kitchen.. and then, packed out items from our home that didn't need to go.. and on the bill, lied about the dates and what was packed out. They're all in on this with the plumber! NEVER again will I choose to work with such a dishonest company! If I could give them less than one star, I would! STAY AWAY!!! read more

Early one morning, I heard water gushing from our garage into our house! Our water heater hose busted and sent water everywhere. An amazing plumber came out to repair our water heater. He told me to call PRC for the water damages. I called and within 15 minutes a professional site manager arrived. For that moment on, this company helped me with the entire process, from the representatives on the phone to the restoration crews and communicating with thw insurance company. Everyone was not only professional but patient and truly concerned about getting the job done correctly and efficiently. I was also days away from having my baby and PRC made sure that the work was done ahead of schedule so that my family could relax comfortably in our home. We looked at several contractors to repair the damage from our slab leak and selected PRC because when Oscar came to the house he was very knowledgable (more so than the original plumber we called) and professional. Throughout the remediation process he was always available and responded very promptly managing the various crews that we were working with to install dryers, remove damaged drywall and flooring ect. We are first time homeowners and this was our first time ever dealing with a slab leak. Appointment time for free estimate was between 10:00-11:00. 12:02 I called the company and they said the guy was 30 minutes away. 1:00PM and still no one. Cancelled the appointment at 1:00. Received a call from the guy who was supposed to be here at 1:22 and he had no clue we canceled the appointment and he was pissed off at the Jessica who works at the office because she never called to let him know of the cancellation. Also I corrected them 3 or 4 times on my correct unit number and they still never updates their system. These were 3 separate calls to the same person. read more

I'm the manager of a ten unit apartment building. Late on a Friday night a tenant called about a sewage backup that flooded their apartment. The plumber showed up to clear the line and told me the sewage had flooded two apartments and that I needed to bring in a restoration company. I didn't know any restoration companies so the plumber brought in PRC. They came at 10:00 PM to clear the two apartments, removing wet carpets and pads and identifying all affected drywall that was later removed. Alfonso and his team were professional in dealing with the tenants, the owner of the apartment building, and the insurance company. They also coordinated with subcontractors. Recommended by my plumber and came same day to dry out water damage. Oscar was great about explaining the process and getting my insurance company what they needed. The leak was in my main family room and they sealed off the affected area so the drying fans would work more efficiently. This was a very nerve wracking process as the water had caused quite a bit of damage and my kitchen was offline for a month. If you must have this type of emergency, I can't think of a better organization to work with than PRC. The Good: They know how to work with insurance companies to make sure the work will be covered (at least it seems that way-we haven't completed the entire project yet). So, that's nice for people who are submitting an insurance claim for the first time and are uncertain about the process. And they did the initial remediation stage of the project well and quickly. The Bad: When they first come bid the job they are classic salesmen, promising a lot things that don't turn out to be super accurate. Even though they handle both the remediation (demo) stage of the job as well as the rebuild stage, I have just found out it will take them two weeks after the demolition and remediation to even start working on rebuild. It was never mentioned to me that they were booked for 10 days out to start any rebuild projects. I also had to contact them repeatedly to schedule a quote for the rebuild. Today they were supposed to show up to give me a quote and they never did. So they are much more responsive for the remediation part of the project and then they seem to lose interest seeing the job done. But one of the reasons I chose to work with them is because I thought it would a one-stop-shop solution to getting the entire project done and the tenant (it's a rental property) back in his bedroom. Early during the remediation job, I asked both the project manager and the crew doing the work that day to call me when they were leaving in the evening and to make sure they lock the back door on their way out. They did not call me and the tenant came home to his back door wide open. That's fine, nothing was stolen and stuff like that happens when people just forget or make a mistake or whatever, but there have been three or four things like that where the crew shows up late or even too early when the tenant is still sleeping and we had asked them specifically not to show up before 10am, etc. They'll get the remediation job done. But their communication and attention to detail aren't great after the initial job bid when they seem super responsive and available. There are several highly rated restoration/remediation construction companies in long beach, so even though I think PRC will get the job done in the end, I would try a different company before going back to them. And in fact, I'm now bidding with other construction companies for the rebuild portion rather than continuing to work with them. read more

Did I learn my lesson the first time I hired PRC???? No not really. The first time around there workers decided to use my oven as storage space, placing plastic bowls and other kitchen utensils inside and when we decided to use it everything melted inside the oven. The second time around they decided to break my sink cabinet when my insurance asked them not to and now I have a mismatch kitchen but there worker had a really good excuse by saying that it was to my benefit because my insurance would cover the new cabinet. So because Farmers decided not to cover a wapping 9,000.00+ for there clean up charges they are taking me to court. I did miss the fact that Farmers payed for the cabinet but deduct it from PRC massive bill and now they are suing for over 4000.00 I STRONGLY SUGGEST TO ALL OF YOU THAT HAVE EXPERIENCED NIGHTMARES WITH PRC PLEASE REPORT THEM TO BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND EVEN MORE SO IF ITS INSURANCE RELATED WATCH WHAT THEY CHARGE. read more

We only have high praise for the outstanding work that PRC did in performing our mold remediation. Alfonzo Arroyo, the job supervisor, was highly professional, made sure that all aspects of the job were performed by the crew in order to clean the mold and get the clearance report. He was remarkably respectful and kind to both his crew and to us, his clients. He has been in the remediation business for many years and knows his profession inside-out. He was also able to quickly resolve any unexpected matters that came up. He is a backbone of the company and he won our loyalty to the company. I would like to provide the following update regarding this complaint. It is with great thanks and appreciation to Emily that I can report this billing issue to be resolved. Although PRC was not able to absolve my father of the entire balance, they did discount the balance by 50%, leaving a balance of $1209.77. We paid that balance and received a paid in full invoice on 10/10/17. It is my solemn belief that this resolution is solely the result of Emily's absolute care concern for the customer, and her efforts to go above and beyond to see that it was amicably resolved. We are a property management company. Sump pump failure in the middle of the night and PRC came within 2 hours with a tanker truck to extract sewage, and came back again with the tanker truck the next night while the plumbers worked on the issue. They are professional and were upfront with the estimated costs. The cost was about the same that any other restoration contractor would charge (the amount may be a surprise to those who have not had this type of work done before). This was not an insurance pay job, so we contacted them directly - in part because it was an emergency service and it had to be done right. read more

We contracted with PRC to complete a repair after restoration from a pinhole leak in a copper water pipe. Bob G, Field Superintendent, was very polite, knowledgeable and thorough in coordinating with me to complete the repairs. He came to inspect the area a day before the repair work began. He also came to the property the day after the repairs were finished to make sure I was completely satisfied. The repair team, consisting of Arturo and Amancio, were amazing. It was difficult to find where the original ceiling ended and the repair work began. They did an outstanding job of replacing the drywall and applying the texture to our garage ceiling. I will be asking for estimates for additional work to be completed around the complex. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - TOTAL SCAM These guys come in, and just start tearing stuff up before you have a chance to approve anything much less understand what it's going to cost you. By the time they even showed me any paperwork, they were already half way through tearing stuff up in the affected bathroom/room. its a total money-grab, "insurance format" as they like to eloquently put it. They charged me $50 to move a box and a chair to another room, making me think that they were just lending a hand as I was relocating my stuff. All these hidden costs, they told me I needed to test for asbestos but failed to let me know that the TEST was $500! The guy shows up does his sample collections then bills me $500, i was shocked! They charged me $180 to remove CARPET... oh, did I mention its a $150 EMERGENCY service call... just for them showing up! JUST FOR SHOWING UP. You're literally paying them to scam you. From the first fake smile to the quick sale tactics they pull on you to sign their work order... it's all total money grab. You never get an idea what each line item is, they just talk it up like its the end of the world and how you'll get mold and all this crap... Do yourself a favor, and avoid these guys at all costs. Call your own TRUSTED contractor to come and take a look and don't get scammed like I did. read more

On April 24, 2016, copper plumbing under my master bathroom sprang a pinhole leak, which soaked about a 3' x 3' area of carpeting and padding. The plumber my neighbor recommended from V-Max plumbing arrived promptly the next day and fixed the leak. He recommended PRC to fix the damage in the bathroom and under. PRC promptly came out with dryers and dehumidifiers, dried out the area and removed the insulation under the floor. Then came the LONG wait. I had many conversations with USAA, my homeowner's insurance. But it took until June 28 for PRC to finally finish the job. On top of the delay they did not agree with the insurance company's standard charges, wanting an additional $915,63. I had paid my deductible of $500 already. I was very angry at the very long delay and the additional cost and told the plumbing company that I would NEVER, NEVER, EVER use PRC again or recommend them to anyone. I guess that got back to PRC because all of a sudden they were very nice, sent a very hard working man out to complete the job, another two to shampoo the carpet. The job was finally completed on June 28, over two months later!!! Oddly enough, in the beginning the PRC rep would not give me an estimate and made some comments about being a different cost if the insurance paid the bill. I had the total opposite experience with PCR Restoration. Edwardo made lots of promises and never came through. I had either a shower or toilet overflow durning the night. They Sucked most of the water out from under my home. Tore out my bedroom carpet that got wet, this was two months ago. They still haven't brought it back. I had about 20 pieces of clothing that slipped on the floor during the night. They threw it in a plastic bag and taped it up. They just kept promising that the insurance company would take care of it as they filled another bag with toiletries. They took the rugs from both bathrooms. Where is my stuff? Edwardo promised to bring another fan and dehumidifier that night. They never showed up. So there were no dryers in the Master bedroom or bath where the main water came from. Where are the replacement items they promised. They told me I had to get tested for asbestos and told me how to call and that the insurance company would pay. They now want about $800. I could go on and on about how dishonest they were. I have emailed several times asking them to reimburse me. I gave him my insurance company name and number. State Farm said that I wasn't covered. He wanted to start taking out my floors on Saturday. I insisted not until I got an oK. I never got an OK. Then what would I have done with no bathrooms and no money to pay for it. I have holes in my walls. They have destroyed my decoratively painted walls. They have cost me about $10,000. I will be sending my emails sent to Perez to all the governing bodies that give these licenses. I can send photos.
