I had 2 other companies who did not know what they were doing. It failed air samples after they falsely claim there got rid of the mold. Do not use Serve Pro, I had to sue both companies. Those companies contaminated my home more. I was living out of the hotel for 9 months. I hired and paid for Advance Environmental Mold to do the remediation. I did not like the 2 companies HOA hired. I had a mold issue again and since I used this company in 2017 I decided to use again (even though I had gotten recommendations for two companies). The woman who answered the phone was great and we set up an appointment. She then asked me for a mold report. I sent it and she said no we need a report listing exactly what work needed to be done (so basically a scope of work). I told her I didn't have this but I can tell the person where the mold is when they come. She said she would call her boss and see if they would even come without that and he said no. I told them this didn't seem like normal protocol and she said all companies require this. So I called the other company and they were great! They came out quickly, took care of the mold and NO they did not require someone to tell them their job! read more

I had some obvious mold growth on the wall behind a bathroom vanity due to a slow angle stop leak in the plumbing. I had JLM environmental (who I also recommend) come in for sample testing to confirm the presence of mold both on the outside and inside of my drywall. Out of 4 mold remediation companies I gathered estimates from, advanced environmental was the second most expensive. But as they say, you get what you pay for and they did a great job of remediating all mold to pass a strict clearance test from JLM. I found them to be worth every dollar for their exceptional professionalism from the start of remediation to the finish. Ray Castro really took care of us and his crew removed all mold in the cleanest way possible. The crew removed a very large, heavy antique vanity that was damp and growing mold from within and also removed a good size of drywall without leaving a trace throughout the house. Although I did not confirm with the other 3 remediation companies I received an estimate for, Advanced Environmental was the only remediation business to guarantee up front that they would return to further remediate the mold free of charge in the situation of a failed clearance test. Not sure if this is standard industry practice, but it was great to have the peace of mind. Obviously, I highly recommend them. read more

I contracted Advanced Environmental for mold remediation of a residential crawl space. The crew was friendly, thorough and careful as they provided two large air scrubbers during the project and established a sealed working area to minimize cross-contamination with the rest of the home. I would definitely recommend Advanced Environmental overall, however they did require a third party inspection report to begin work, and they also recommended a clearance inspection before final payment. Though these steps sound reasonable in theory, the third party (JLM Environmental in this case, but presumably others) will not collect air samples in crawl spaces, so both the initial inspection and clearance inspection were purely visual. The individuals actually performing the work did not reference the inspection report, so the third party involvement ended up being a non-value-add paperwork exercise that delayed the project start and added almost $1000 to the total cost. Again, Advanced Environmental was professional and does good work, however their approach to inspections in the context of crawl spaces is frustrating. read more

Upon finishing his work, Ray's staff failed to remove their stain marks off of my walls from chemicals used. His supervisor, Martin, who is a jerk, insisted on the stains were always there.
