03.05.2026 Thursday First Visit 03.06.2026 Friday 2nd Visit Fix Made an emergency plumbing request. My shower would not drain. Called this Castanedas Plumbing Company. Jose answered and set me up with Rolando. Rolando came on Thursday. He discovered that the Drain Pipe going to the main line was completely clogged. This pipe was underneath the house at the crawlspace. He also discovered that shower was leaking from the top level to the crawlspace. He stated that the grout is cracked causing the water to seep in and out. He quoted me $1700 to fix everything. Meaning changing and replacing the clogged shower drain pipe to the main pipe. Regrouting the shower tiles. I agreed, set up the 2nd schedule for Friday 03.06.2026. Rolando took about 4 to 5 hours to fix everything. He was a young man with experience. Changed drain pipe and regrouted! I dont know much about piping. I am ignorant when it comes to pricing. It just had to get done. I had no time for 2nd quotes. Finger crossed I wasn't overcharged lol. Overall, I would call back for piping service. This is the 2nd time I called this company. First time was my kitchen sink that was clogged. The good thing is I have 90 days of warranty from the time of fix. I really dont know if I still have problems to call back the plumber. The only way to really find out is to crawl underneath the house. Overall, pleased with uncertainty. So far so good. read more

Responsive on Yelp. Easy to schedule the next morning from the night before, assuming they have availability, which they did. They arrived during their scheduled appointment window. After service was completed, I found out the minimum service call fee is $125, additional work is $100+ depending on the difficulty. I opted not for the additional work since the problem was the toilet water line and not the additional toilet fill valve that they offered to replace also. If they have to come back, minimum service call is $125, etc. That's a steal since they sent out two guys. read more

Rolando and his team came to unclog a chronic toilet / shower drain. I've had to snake this area a few times in the 5-6 six years I've owned the home. Every plumber that comes through tells me I need to remove the cast iron sooner rather than later for a long term fix but they always quoted me 5-6k. Rolando did everything he could to address the short term issue since I was going to put on vacation. He went under the house, did a snake camera, and took pictures of the whole structure for me. At the end he told me no charge since he can't unclog it. I was confused because I thought he should at least get a fee for coming out, but he was insistent that it's fine since he could not figure out a way to access the clog (we just had a whole remodel with an ADU where the previous plumber removed the previous access area, ugh). Due to his honesty I asked what needed to be done, he aligned with the past plumbers saying we should consider at least the whole shower line to be replaced and his price was super competitive. I trusted his character above all and told him if he can do it today before I leave he has a deal. He said he will do it in 2-3 hours. In about 2 hours he's done and shows me pictures of the work and all is well. Appreciate the honesty and hard work! read more

They are quick to visit and provide a consult and help address issues. My second service with them wasn't as great as my first. The plumber came and directly fixed my sink issue without telling me first what was wrong and how much it was going to cost. By the time he finished, he just straight up quoted me. Yesterday, late afternoon, my elderly mother told me that her toilets weren't working. I wondered who could come at the last minute late in the day? Castaneda's Plumbing to the rescue! More specifically, Rolando. He was fantastic from start to finish. He came over in the early evening after he finished his last job as promised. He carefully inspected her toilets and determined there was a deep blockage that needed more work. He temporarily fixed it so my mother could use the toilet. He returned very early the next morning and spent several hours completing the repairs. On top of that my mother mentioned that her heater wasn't working. After a long day digging up her lawn and repairing the main pipe Rolando kindly took a look. He checked the device that controls the heater and replaced the batteries we had on hand and got it running again! Received notice from the City about a leak in our property but unable to find where. Called a couple of Plumbing Companies to evaluate the situation and were able to book free estimates the following day. First company came and provided their findings along with estimated cost (on the higher end). Joel from Castaneda Plumbing and Rooter came thereafter and provided a much clearer explanation and slightly less than the first company. What stood out the most is how Joel addressed the situation. He was concise, confident but humble, and not pushy about how we can resolve the issue. You can tell immediately how experienced Joel was since he grabbed a metal rod and started sticking it in the ground to get a feel of how much force he needed to apply to determine where the leak is coming from. Whereas the first company felt more like a sales pitch unfortunately. Then, Joel grabbed a shovel and asked permission if he could dig a little - permission granted. Just a few dirt off the ground and on the same spot where Joel started digging, he not only found the pipe but also the leak. He explained our options and their pros and cons so as a homeowner, I can make a sound decision on how we would like to get this fixed. While deciding, Joel went ahead and offered to temporarily fix the leak by spot repairing the pipe for free. During his repair, he also discovered there was another leak that he had to repair as well - both part of his and the company's great customer service! After deciding on how we would like to approach it, Joel said he can come back two days later and get it all fixed. Joel came back as discussed with Danny, who immediately went to work. They explained the plan again and gave us adequate warning when they will be turning off the water, so it won't inconvenience us. Joel and Danny's quality of work is truly wonderful. They explained how the previous pipe was installed and what they did to improve the installation and mitigate the same risk of leak from happening. Not only they put the dirt back to how they were but also fixed a certain area of our ground that didn't really need fixing - shows you how detail oriented these guys are. We're very happy in choosing Castaneda Plumbing and Rooter especially having Joel and Danny help us fix this issue. Joel even recommended to contact the City and perhaps they could consider crediting us for the sudden increase in our bill once we explain that the leak was not neglected and repaired immediately - no guarantees but the fact that Joel even thought about this really shows they care about their customers. I had Castanenda's Plumbing come to my home to do a leak inspection because my tenant was complaining that her water bill was high and she believed there was a leak. I spoke with them on the phone prior to having them come to home and I requesting that after the do the leak inspection if I could have a copy of any findings so I can give to my tenant. They said that would be fine and gave me a time window from 12-3. However, I received a text message that they were running late and that they will not arrive until 3-5. I live a few hours away from my property and did not want to leave to come back another day so I waited. Around 5pm I did not hear anything from them and contacted them and was told the plumber wouldn't be there until 6. Eventually, the plumber came around 7-730. They inspected my house and after the finished they said that this was an after hour call and requested for payment. I explained this was not an after hours call and I have been waiting for 4 hours. So, they did not charge me. I requested for a copy of the findings and was told it would be emailed to me. I called a week later to asked for the receipt or copy of the findings and was told I would get a copy via email/text. I checked my email/text and never received the receipt and again never received a copy. So, I called a few days later and again was told I would get a copy via email. Finally, I called the following day after not getting a receipt and was told that everything was verbal and I could not get anything in writing. Very disappointed. I choose this company based off the help reviews. Would not recommend them to anyone. read more

We had a burst half inch supply line flooding the underside of our house and didn't discover it until after 6 PM on a Friday before a long weekend. I called many other 24 hours Services and no one could send anyone until the following Tuesday. Castaneda's was the exception. They sent their technician Oscar to solve our issue. I'm a licensed contractor, but I was visiting my parents with no tools. Oscar did a great job quickly remedying the broken pipe. This review has been a long time coming. These guys are simply put, the best I've ever had the pleasure of working with when it comes to my plumbing needs. To date, they have: 1) Replaced the kitchen sink piping and installed a new garbage disposal 2) Cleared my house-to-mainline piping twice (once with camera to show the reason beyond the blockage which was tree roots) 3) Replaced and installed both toilets 4) Broke concrete and replaced the piping and drain underneath one of our showers Each and every time they were extremely conscientious, careful, extremely thorough, and were extremely patient in explaining exactly what was going on, what my options were, and why they were recommending a specific course of action. They also were clear and honest about the pricing involved with each option, no padded fees or surprises, just straightforward honest, out-the-door pricing. We have an Asian household and they were kind enough to wear plastic bags over their boots to prevent carpet soiling and made sure that any and all residual dirt or grime that might have occurred during installation was cleaned meticulously. These guys are literally the best I have ever encountered in this field. I have not and will not use anyone else as long as these guys are in business. It's very clear I am not related to the owners :) I called a few businesses around urgently because well I had a leaking main line. I got quotes 50-90%(!) more than Castaneda. All for the same scope too. So either they were giving me the "PV Tax" (it's real) or they knew I was in a bind so they were trying to make a quick buck. But Team Castaneda came out, they measured and gave me a more than fair quote to do an amazing job. They were on time, prompt and cleaned up after.
