It looks like a high quality unit; better than what you get from Home Depot or Lowe's. And it has an 8 year warranty. The total cost for the unit, plus install and haul away was $1850. I'm happy with the price. The installation included brand new gas valve, new water/gas supply connectors, new copper tubing, and new vent tubing. I have used these guys a few times and thought they did a fairly good job. This is not an individual "Sam" who does plumbing but he has a large team of plumbers. Every time I have called they have sent a different person and I don't think I've ever actually met the owner "Sam". The plumbers that they did send seemed knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately, recently I had to call to request that they return to look at an issue that they had worked on 3 months prior. The guy on the phone told me that he would call back in 20 minutes. I never received that callback so I tried them again a few days later and left a voicemail. Still no callback. My only conclusion is that they are not really willing or interested in standing by their work or maintaining good customer relationships. My only gripe is they came 15 min past the end of their estimated 2 hour arrival window - in fairness to them, they did message towards the end of the window that they were stuck in traffic and running late. Easy five star review to write for emergency at home plumbing. I messaged into Sam's at probably 430PM on a Friday afternoon and they offered to have a tech at my house that same evening. Cristian showed up promptly and in a really good mood for having a late job pop up on a Friday evening. The plug in the shower drain ran up through the wall and you could tell it was a pain to get out. The work was finished promptly and communication was awesome. Cristian cleaned up before heading out. I thought this was a good honest company but they are not. I have multiple properties and have used them before on smaller and easier jobs such as clearing out drains. However, when I called them to replace a bathroom fixture and valve, they were completely inadequate. They offered a solution that ended up being completely useless and wasted precious time or wanted us to pay more than $3,600 to replace the entire shower. Other than that, they wanted to blame the previous plumber, which is a complete cop out. Overall very disappointed with their competence and level of service. They were also very rude over the phone. I have never written a negative review before but feel compelled to do so now. If you have a small job, you can roll the dice but would not contact them on moderate/difficult jobs. read more

You know those plumbing companies that advertise "24/7 or emergency services available"? Then when you call you get an answering service or they tell you that no one is available? Well I had a situation at my business at 8pm. I called 4-5 plumbers who advertised said 24/7 emergency services and I either got a voice mail, answering service, or when I did speak with a live person, got the good old "no one is available until tomorrow between 12 and 8pm". Quite frankly I kind of expected it due to labor shortages and supply chain, etc. I luckily called Sam's and not only did I speak with a live person, it was Sam himself! He said he was sorry but the first available slot was between "10 and 1". I thought he mean the next day at 10am to 1pm. He actually meant that night!! A true emergency service availability. Since we would be closed at those hours we agreed to a 8am time this morning. His plumber, Elton, communicated via text that he was on the way and showed up on time and ready to go. Professional, knowledgeable, and fixed the problem in 30 minutes. Price was very reasonable. All other places had to send someone for even a ballpark estimate. A plumber came out on the same day. The job was thorough. The price was less than what I experienced from other places previously. Our upstairs toilet was clogged and not flushing. We had a different plumbing service come out a few weeks back for the exact same issue. Apparently, they didn't resolve the issue as the clog returned the very next day. After reading several negative reviews on Yelp, we decided to cut our losses and not to even call them back. In looking for a new plumbing service, I came across Sam's Rooter & Plumbing. I liked the many positive reviews and decided to give them a shot. Immediately, I received a text message confirming our appointment for the same day. It even updated me once a plumber was assigned. Our plumber was Dustin. He was very professional and resolved our issue with in a reasonable timeframe. It ended up being that some small scissors was stuck inside the actual toilet. Dustin's troubleshooting was spot on! He first tried to auger the toilet with no luck, made the decision to remove the toilet and flush the drain to see if it would back up. So far, so good. No back up. Tried the auger again with the toilet off. This time we could see that something is stuck inside the toilet as the auger pushed it out. At this point, it would've been easy for this company to sell us a new toilet and make a few more $$$. But, no Dustin persistence paid off. He was able to push the scissors far enough out to grab them with his pliers. Not only did he save us on buying a new toilet but, even fully cleaned our bathroom floor. In the process of removing the toilet, allot of blue toilet water spilled all over our floor. He completely cleaned it all up and resealed our toilet. Tested several times to confirm the clog was fixed. Charged us only for time and materials. Others were quoting a lot more $$$ to come out and fix our toilet. We've had Sam's crew on several projects including replacing a water heater and several clogged drains and have always had good results with very reasonable charges. His plumbers are always knowledgeable and experienced and seem to know exactly what to do to fix the problem. I had them out yesterday on two clogged drains on the second floor that shared a "T" connection and required opening the ceiling on the first floor and replacing a section of pipe.
