Where do I start? We have an ENVO smart toilet by ANZZI (SW Corp) that started having issues. After sending videos to the manufacturer, they diagnosed the problem and confirmed the defective part was covered under their lifetime parts warranty. Since SW Corp doesn't have any service technicians in California, they referred me to WiseWay Plumbing. Eric came out to inspect the toilet and confirmed the diagnosis before we began the long wait for the replacement part, which unfortunately took several months to arrive. During that time, Amanda in the office was excellent--she stayed in touch, answered my questions, and kept me updated throughout the process. Once the part finally arrived, scheduling the installation was easy. Eric returned, removed the old component, installed the new one quickly and professionally, and had everything working perfectly again. I am so greatful for Elliot and the wiseway team behind him. We originally called for a bath to shower situation that was not working properly. When he came he assured me of the fix and unfortunately after our conversation and him taking a peak at things he realized a larger issue with the safety of our water heater. We had an emergency floor leak on our toilet. We called Saturday morning and scheduled for same day appointment in the afternoon. Eric showed up on time, addressed the issue immediately, educated us on the cause, and pointed to some parts that might need replacing in the near future. I had a 100% clog in sewer branch drain from my second floor vanity sink just below the 2inch cutout at ground level. It was a hard sediment/ corrosion that I tried to break through with my DYI snake with no success on 7/29- Wednesday I used Yelp to get quotes from plumbers who did hydro jetting and received 4 reply's out of 5 requests. I chose Wiseway, who contacted me by early evening with inspection scheduled for next day Thursday. Elliot showed up at 10 am, early in the window given of 10 am to 2pm. Elliot was not only knowledgeable and competent, he was personable and patient. Freely answered all my questions. I could tell the clog was hard to get through but after 30-45 minutes of work, he achieved full flow of water. I called WiseWay Plumbing a small family-owned business after 5pm on Tuesday, and they were still able to come and help me the first thing Wednesday morning. We had copious amounts of water coming up from between two slabs of concrete that had been poured in 1977 next to the pool pump, and I feared a major excavation needed to be done to repair this leak. Eduardo came early for analysis, and a little later Eric also came over with 'copper pipe location equipment' and found the old copper pipes that were leaking. They were able to turn off the main water and remove the leaky pipe within an hour without damaging the concrete, and at a reasonable rate. WiseWays Plumbing were my heroes this week! read more

OK we had a Noritz tankless water heater stop igniting around New Years although it was not an emergency . Wise Way is on Noritz list of approved plumbers. After looking at it they told me it was a $250 estimate fee. Alright let's estimate it , so they called Noritz who had about a 20 point check list and the problem was diagnosed as a faulty tiny igniter which was under warranty hooray but bummer they insisted a picture be sent and since it wasn't a full Noritz exhaust they wouldn't cover the part unless the exhaust was replaced with a nice shiny stainless Noritz exhaust . I was told the existing exhaust was dangerous of course but when I removed it ( I had to remove it along with a asbestos pipe they don't deal with) the joints were taped so well it was a bit@h to get it apart so I doubt there were any leaks in it but whatever. So we got busy while I believe it was Eric tracked down the parts . He showed up replaced the part and installed the exhaust but didn't have the right flange so it was leaing a little which doesnt look too good from the street .All in $1600. I've never been a fan of tankless water heaters I don't believe you could ever save a penny in energy costs using them as they cost twice what a tank heater does minimum and also require a regular flush maintenance that I bet costs at least a few hundred . Maybe that's the going rate for a simple repair on a tankless water heater and exhaust pipe that cost maybe a couple hundred in galvanized but all said and done I wish I had got another estimate When the old Noritz craps out again I will replace it with a tank heater myself which in my experience last 20 years and cost half what a relatively simple repair on a Noritz runs.
