Ran into the same issue with presumably Charles today, where he flatly refused to provide a receipt for packages being dropped off. I told him Store #1 on Governor Drive, where the Jane used to work always provided a receipt. His message is the package carries make mistakes and then he's responsible for the packages. He also suggested I just leave packages on the counter when he is in back. This guy also has wanted to charge me a dollar to tape closed a package being dropped off - very poor customer care. I would have gone to store #1, which is near to me and Jane, who started the business, but it had closed. While I will continue to shop at Ralph's, which this Postal Annex store is within, I will not be recommending this particular one, based on service I have received today and previously, no will I be giving another chance anytime soon. read more

Other postal Annex would give you a receipt for a drop off. Not this one. So I leave my package just based on trust to a person who took it. Terrible. I will take my packages and my business to a full service place. Not this one. Not worth it read more

The Asian guy who works there is a huge douche bag. So, so, rude and totally wasted my time. Ignored me then when he helped me and I asked for a receipt he told me to go to another UPS drop off. Completely had no regard for my business or needs. read more

It would be best to give zero stars to this location. Truly one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had in my life. This is not an exaggeration. I went there again because of the convenience of the location to me after having had a bad experience before and I am kicking myself for the decision. I have no idea how this man stays in business. read more

A rip-off store. Bought a book of 20 stamps here and was charged $13 for, what I realized later, was $10 worth of stamps. I expected some upcharge but a 30% is absolutely absurd !! read more

I WILL NOT make my KEYS here anymore! (it's your choice to duplicate your keys here or not after reading this) I asked a woman for a duplicate copy of my key. She made it in a couple of minutes but she seemed quite hesitant or unconfident when she was handling the machine. I brought it home anyways, and the new key couldn't unlock the door. I called the store and a man picked up the phone. I told them I just made a new key there and it doesn't work. He was like okay... just bring it back. By then, I thought he was gonna try to make a new key for me. I drove all the way back and showed him my receipt and the key. He looked at the key and said, "well, if this doesnt work for you then this is the only way." He handed my money back. They did not apologize or try to explain what is wrong. I mean, did you expect that this would happen? He just opened the cashier and gave my money back, as if he expected it coming or he was used to refunding money for making sloppy keys. They could have at least apologized before giving my money back, or ask me what they could do, try a new key or a refund. I tried to ask him what is wrong, and he just said this is the best it can get and that there is something wrong with my original key. The original key is already little off so then the duplicate doesn't fit the lock anymore... I took my key to the UPS store next to vons and they made it PERFECTLY FINE. Hmmm... read more

I've only ever used their key duplication service. Both times I went, the key didn't work at first. I went back both times and they re-did it. Out of those two times, one of the keys didn't work. The service wasn't bad, but there is no point to their service if the key doesn't work. They also require a minimum of $4/$5 to use a debit or credit card, even though they're not supposed to. read more

Charlie, the fact that it's NEVER busy should be indicative of the service there. When I walked up to send a certified check via certified mail so I COULD TRACK IT, the rude Asian woman "manager" behind the counter was having a heated discussion w/a woman who had just paid her $20 to notarize a document..the notarization was "different" & the woman was asking for her $$ back, to which I overheard the Asian lady say, "You are not getting your money back." with conviction. I didn't think twice about my certified mail, I paid my almost $5 fee & went away w/out a worry. For the next few days I tried to track my package online, which was why I'd bought the certification in the 1st place, & it was "not found" on the track site for USPS. So I called her, she told me to give it a few days since my package was going all the way out to the east coast, it could take "up to 14 business days" to show online. I gave it another couple days, then went back to her. I handed her the receipt w/the tracking number she'd stuck on it, & told her to track it. She said, "It's not showing yet." I said, "Funny, this has never happened before." Her reply? "Well there's a 1st time for everything." Is that right? Well 1st & LAST time I do business there, as convenient as it may be, I'll take my $5 across the street & WAIT at that post office. I filed a complaint w/the USPS & will tell everyone not to do business there when I go in to my favorite Ralph's in SD. Her attitude is unacceptable PERIOD. read more

OMG just got 2 things notarized. Such a breeze! Have gone to UPS and always had awful or slow service or both. Will only go here from now on. read more

Very fast and efficient service. Guy was thorough and I was in/out in less than 3 minutes. Bummer others have not had a good experience, but I will be using them in the future (assuming my package arrives without issue)! read more

Awful service. Stay away from here and Charles. Came here & Charles walks up and starts acting very strange mumbling and looking all around like he is on something. I asked to mail a box and he said he didn't know how to seal it and he can't guarantee it will arrive then he proceeds to ask for money for something he is too lazy to ship. It's a shame my entire company will never go here again for dry cleaning or shipping. He was very creepy and incompetent so we left and went to a warm welcoming ups store. Don't go here you will regret it read more

I went Ralph's to get some beers with my roommate, and I found this place. My roommate and I needed extra keys just in case, and they copied 3 keys so quickly and were nice. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Ive been using that place mainly because location is convenient. I stopped by today and finally decided to make it my last time. Charles, the person behind the counter, is just plain rude and couldn't care less about doing his job properly. Im taking my business across the street. Simple as that. read more

These guys are amazing. Fast and convenient service. You can get more of your to-dos done in one place, from getting a key duplicated to dry cleaning or clothing alteration services. Noticed quite few people mentioned Charles being ''rude'', well I guess what you give is what you get! :) Used their services for 3 years now, never had any issues with them, always very helpful and professional. read more

Often it's good to drop something off or even have something packed and shipped. But one time... I tried to ship a package via UPS here. They were fairly nice. First, they told me that it was free to package items, but it turns out it costs $6.50. Second, they said the system was saying it was an invalid zip code (which it wasn't), but the shipped it anyway; however when I got home and entered the address into a map, it showed up with a slightly different spelling, and I think they should have been able to detect that, so now I don't know if it will get there. Third, they had me enter in the shipping information myself even though I handed them the paper with the address. The whole mix up had me waiting about 20 minutes longer than I should have waited. And the cost of shipping ended up being about half the value of the item I was returning! So some good experiences here, some annoying and unpleasant waits. read more

Wow, these guys are good. We brought in over 500 pieces of Mail - (including 21 international) and they were quick and efficient. They were very knowledgeable and processed our mail quickly. Did I mention they were friendly. Have a wonderful day read more

I had important out of state documents that had to be notarized, copied and mailed to multiple addresses. The forms other agencies had sent me were not legal in CA and owner explained to me so he also prepared documents that satisfied CA law as well. The owner was careful and did everything precisely as I had asked. I swore I would not go anywhere else for anything this office provides. read more

Go across the street to the Fedex in the Whole Foods plaza. This guy at the Ralph's Fedex will not be truthful and then he'll upcharge you. I paid a fraction of what he was asking to mail a simple letter by going across the street. And twice I made keys here and both times the keys did not work! read more

This place is worth it!! I have been bringing my business to this Postal Annex for 2 years now. I have yet to experience an issue. I ship many packages, purchase stamps and even do my dry cleaning. The staff there is very friendly and helpful as well. I am very satisfied with the customer service at this location and will continue to bring my business. Keep up the great work!!! read more

Worst customer service! Wish Ralph's would take notice of complaints and get a new company to run the postal service. Rudest and most unhelpful service I have ever encountered not to mention they always try to overcharge. Avoid at all costs!! read more

Be aware of this place! It's the first time I post review on yelp, I want to give them zero star if I can!!! The Korean guy(owner) didn't respect his customers and he has the worst customer service in the world!!! I needed to mail a very important document to my parents in China, they charged me $40 and promised that the letter would arrive in 5-6days, included a tracking number. However, the tracking number didn't work at all(could not find any information online) and the letter never arrive! I called them after one week and they told me to wait for another week. Did he remember that he PROMISED that the letter would be arrived in ONE week. After three weeks, the letter was returned back to me!!! WTF!!! I was so mad and went to their place to ask for my money back. What they said to me was: I don't have any responsibility to you. If you want your money, you can sue me. Hahaha, I am sooooo angry now and I don't mind to sue them to small claim court! It's a fraud! Hope these dicks go out of business soon! read more

The worst post office avoid at all costs!!!! The Asian man is incredibly rude and unhelpful. Please do call postal service to loga complaint as he thinks he can get away with treating customers badly and overcharging. read more

Came here to ship out a book yesterday. Super convenient and fast. I don't know why you guys are calling rude. The lady was nice and helpful, I was out in less than 5 minutes. I've heard from my friend that the quality of their key is really good also. I will definitely come back again. read more

Stop! Do not do your dry cleaning here! I have been going to the this drycleaner/postal annex for over 7 years. I have always used this because it was convenient. NOT ANY MORE! I have my brother's wedding this weekend and wanted one of my nice dress shirts dry-cleaned. On 8/21 i dropped it off, yesterday i went in to get my shirt and it was never dry cleaned, why? Because there is a slight rip in the shirt...... the best part about it is that they said i ripped it! I just go the shirt a month ago and i have only worn it once. There was no rip before that. Also, they never called me to tell me that the shirt was not going to be dry cleaned, kind of suspicious that they never called me and my shirt magically ripped? Not to mention that Ninas ( The owner) Dad, the Asian gentleman who also works there, did not give me my money back for the shirt that i paid for in advanced that he ripped! Never going back to this place again. All employees are rude and not helpful! They really do not know how to treat a customer! read more

The woman (the owner as she explains) is simply RUDE and DISRESPECTS her customers well in my case I'm an ex-customer. Been dealing with her father (a nice man) almost always until this evening when I went to pick up my shirt (laundry) and saw it simply dirty in the exact same status I gave it to them on Monday. I wasn't happy to see the shirt uncleaned and she simply went angry (well she looks angry even before approaching her; not sure how she is placed in a position to deal with customers...) and said go to the BBB, I'm not giving you your money back! I went like; ok I'm talking to the store manager and property owner as this is not an acceptable way to treat customers. After talking to the store manager, I continued my shopping at Ralphs and then all of a sudden that same angry woman appeared in front of me at the grocery section (the opposite end to the laundry spot where she is supposed to be) and started yelling at me! I went like: don't talk to me! and she kept yelling! I thought she is having a bad day but apparently she is known to be rude which makes it even more strange to have her still there.. read more

Although the staff is friendly and competent they just need more of them. Service is great when they can get to you but the wait can be gruelling. read more

Always use Yelp to help me with stuff. First time I felt obligated to write a review and warn customers. The Asian gentlemen by the name of KNCHEOL NOH he notarized my document charged me for it. When I came home I realized he wrote the year wrong and would not be accepted for my work. When I went back and told them what they did and showed them he said he would have to charge me again, even though it was his mistake. It only cost 10 dollars so money is not the issue it was the incompetence and the blatant lack of customer service that I was shocked to see. Prior to my notary fiasco I one time used their dry cleaning service they did a horrible job all the stains were still present and they are more expensive than other dry cleaning services. When I took my shirts and pants to another dry cleaner they got rid of the stains and were less expensive. DO NOT GO HERE!!! INCOMPETENT AND HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! read more

These guys have really come through for us on several occasions (well over 40 at least). We have used them for international and local shipping, drop off, and for some of their other services. We live nearby, so it is very convenient to have them here. Seems like they do everything in addition to shipping - notarizing, making keys, dry cleaning, the list goes on. Charles does most of the shipping, and has always been professional with us and friendly (his wife also gets a positive review from us), and clearly explains everything as he goes. They do their best to make things work for you. Yes it is a postal annex so shipping might cost a few dollars more. You can also drop off pre-paid packages and letters too. Be sure to check the last pickup times if you have an important item to ship, as last pickup time is a little later for fedex or ups in some locations, but it's pretty good here. They are open pretty late too, which is super convenient. Try to not arrive right before a scheduled pick-up time as that's the crunch time for some other people too (give yourself at least 15-20 min, and best to double check with them when last pickup for your shipping type - UPS, FedEx, USPS is). Even so, they do their best to get everybody's package in. They aren't the ones responsible for the pickup times, so if you come late and the UPS or other person came already, there's nothing that can be done, but that's the same everywhere pretty much. It's also nice to walk into Ralph's and they always smile or say hello as we walk past. read more
