I've had to go here for a number of things, and all but once, the reps went above and beyond in their help and/or attitude. (The one "bad" time, the rep just wasn't AS helpful as I know they can be, but maybe he was having a day.) The line can be long, but that's based on time of day and how much help someone needs. Since I'm not a tech guy, and I truly need their help when things are out of the ordinary, I can't blame them if others need help, too. But while waiting in line, I also hear bits of the other interactions, and it seems to me that most people have a great experience as well. read more

I was hesitant to bring my package to a smaller UPS location, but Joseph completely exceeded my expectations. I walked in with a big, heavy box and mentioned I needed help, and he was incredibly friendly and willing to jump right in. He grabbed a trolley, rolled it out to my vehicle, and brought the box inside for me, then helped me pick the right shipping option and helped me pack and label everything properly. Derrick was very helpful again, with tracking a package. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Generally, though, this UPS store needs to make it easier to get email notifications when a package is sent. Even though my email address is on my UPS account there, and I request emails, I rarely actually receive the tracking information by email. Instead, I only get paper receipts, and have to manually enter each long tracking number into the UPS tracking website. Derrick once, a few years ago, was able to get the email notification sent. Since then, despite requesting it, email notification hasn't worked for the many UPS packages that I've shipped from there. Overall, good store, though, and I recommend it highly. read more

The service is hit or miss. My concern is that on at least 4 occasions, my return was never received by Amazon. This never happens with my Amazon returns at Whole Foods. I will travel to Clairemont UPS store if I have to return via UPS in the future. DO NOT DO AMAZON DROP OFF AT THIS LOCATION!!! I just made two drop offs yesterday 11/20. They didn't process the return correctly and now I am on the phone with Amazon dealing with it. The dollar amount for the returns was quite high, so I don't think they know how to process them. I used to drop them off at Kohls and the return is processed a few hours after you drop off because they have to process it after you leave the store. I don't think these guys are aware. I dropped off two returns on 11/20 and still showing it needs to be dropped off. Should have gone to Whole Foods instead. Now I am on the phone with Amazon while they try to figure it out what happened. read more

Came here recently to do an Amazon return. I went up to the self-help kiosk and tried doing it on my own but had some problems so decided to go up to the counter. One of the workers actually put his palms to his face and rubbed his eyes in a very frustrated way upon noticing that I was walking up to the counter. When I asked for help, he sighed a lot and gave me a very disinteresting look and I was pretty hurt. It was a really disrespectful interaction. I understand how busy it can get near the holidays, but I've never had an experience in which an employee seemed that annoyed of me before I even opened my mouth. I typically have good interactions with the UPS store, so this specific location might be an outlier to avoid for me. read more

This UPS Regents location went above and beyond with customer service and care today. I would like to personally thank "Marshall" for providing excellent service. Marshall noticed that I was walking up with a large box and immediately walked out of the store to greet me, and help me carry my package inside and scan it within seconds. His genuine nature and care to assist me, did not go unrecognized. There are many in the industry (e.g. retail, hospitality, restaurants, etc), that have dedicated staff to service the needs of customers (and require or ask for monetary tips, have tip jars, etc); yet they fall short of meeting customer care expectations. WOW! Gordon at the Regents Road UPS Store is a rockstar! He was SO patient with me when my phone had issues displaying the QR code for my Amazon return, but he magically made it work. There was an issue with my boxes, too--Amazon's fault/something on my end--and Gordon very graciously helped me troubleshoot. He worked with me to MacGyver a box that would hold everything in a single structure, which was no easy feat, even the situation. This location has a ridiculously outdated return system for non-Amazon return packages. Typically the QR code on the PDF return label is sufficient to generate the return label at other UPS/FedEx, however this place asked for printed label and charged me $1.99 for using their printer to print a one page blank/white return label. On the receipt, it says "computer use fee". I assume this overpriced single page is because I had to email the label to them and a button needed to be clicked by THEM on their computer to print it...Also the guy helped me was very cold and showed no customer service. This will be my last (first) time coming to this UPS location. read more
