Finally got around to writing the review. We used them to temporarily store items for my student in between dorm and apartment. It's all true, they're the closest storage to UCSD campus. If you need storage for the summer, call early because they fill fast. Luckily, I started calling around several weeks before end-of-school and was able to the get the size I wanted. They have an elevator with carts for units on the second floor. Front office staff is friendly (constantly offered us water bottles even though we never took advantage, we appreciated the gesture). Once you have your unit and key, easy access by gate code during open hours so mostly self-service. With a student in the area for a few more years, it's nice to know we have this option for another move when needed. read more

We signed up today; staff (Ms LaShonda) was a true professional. No upsell, no BS, just friendly customer service. I told LaShonda what I needed and she was quick with some general questions to better understand my needs. She drove myself and my daughter to the unit while continuing with details. Very informative but also efficient. My 7 year old was with me and I appreciate LaShonda patience the entire time. We ended renting a 10x10 but I also asked for a bottom unit. Lashonda was quick to look up availability and found some potential move out units near my expected move in date. The entire transaction was approximately 45 minutes but it felt faster. Happy we stopped by and the reviews from Yelp certainly lived up to its expectations. I will update after we move in our stuff. read more

Great service and wonderful staff! Always impressed by their kindness and efficiency!

Moving is always stressful, however Greg at golden triangle made our move so much better! We toured different storage units today and the facility is secure and clean. We have looked into other places like public storage, however found the customer service here top notch. read more

Our first experience with Golden Triangle was incredible! Everyone in the front office was warm, welcoming, and extremely friendly. La Shonda was especially helpful in making the process smooth and simple on our end, from our first phone calls to book the unit all the way to walking us to our storage room. She is so thoughtful and down-to-earth. We immediately felt like we could trust her and the company for storage! Wonderful experience overall read more

Clean organized and easy access. Prices are more affordable than other places. They had drinks and coffee while you were waiting and the staff was really friendly. read more

Great service and price for storage. Needed a storage facility for just the summer. Would highly recommend.

Greg and the staff were very helpful and thorough. Highly recommended and will continue to use for storing :)

We needed to find a location near us to move a family member and our mover recommended Golden Triangle. After a quick jaunt I was informed they didn't have the size we needed but recommend 2 smaller ones that equaled the same size and was cheaper. Additionally I was able to reserve, as we didn't know the exact move date, with the reservation fee credited towards the first month rental. In addition to having units available their customer service is rock solid with excellent customer service. Kelly showed me a few options and thoroughly answered all my questions. I highly recommend checking this company out for your storage needs in the area. read more

These guys were great! Got the right sized units for my move! Thanks for the friendly service read more

Golden Triangle Self Storage - One of the units - Self Storage Near Me - San Diego, California

This is the cleanest and most professionally run business I have came across to date. The staff was completely friendly and completely accessible for any help or questions you may have. The prices are a bit higher, but it is well worth the price for the security and cleanliness of the facility. I would highly recommend this place for storage use in the future for anyone in the area or anyone looking for clean and reliable storage. I tried the other place down the road. You know the big place public storage, and they just blew me off via the telephone and the doors for the lobby were locked every time I tried to visit. Considering how big they are they should be doing a lot better. However, thanks to their let down they have lead me to a better alternative cleaner, more secure, and more professionally ran by a far better group of people! read more

We needed to find a storage unit near the UCSD campus to store some of our extra stuff and this was the best option that we saw on Yelp. We called ahead and they were able to have us come in the same day to show us the storage units and sign the rental agreement. The person who helped was amazing and very friendly. He answered all our questions and was patient. We got a great deal with the student discount and if you check in on Yelp, you get a free disc lock for the unit. The area was very clean and secure. The next day, we were able to start moving our items into the unit. The process was very smooth and we had no problems. This place is very efficient and we recommend giving this place a try! read more

Super clean facility, friendly staff, and easy sign up to get all set up with a unit. Area is quiet and secure

We were looking into getting a storage unit in the area and Greg G. explained to us what our options were in a very precise, cordial, and welcoming way. He accommodated us well and showed us the units with ease. Very attentive and mindful to our needs and we are looking forward to renting our new unit! read more

Move in process was very easy at this location. We utilized the student discount instead if the other promotion they had at the time 10% off per month. Customer Service was great here Both Denise and Greg helped us and it was a pleasure to work with them. I am sure we will have a great experience here. They have month to month contracts with a guaranteed price for the rest of the year and you can leave anytime. The facilities have concrete and steel storage spaces which is one of the other reasons we decided to go with this facility . read more

Efficient and great customer service! The cheapest I could find around the area. Greg and Herman make a great team! 100 % recommended.

I went here with all my boxes and thankfully they had a storage unit I was looking for! I store my things here & I referred my boyfriend so we got a great deal (better than the web discount). Prices are cheaper online with specials if you want a deal otherwise. These units have cement floors & metal walls so it's very clean! No worries about mold like in wooden storage units. We love GREG AND JEROME. They made a stressful event so much more fun and welcoming. They also love UCSD students and have discounts.

On site property manager is so nice and helpful. Quickly got us in, gave us a quote and variety of options on units available and took us right over to look and decide. Greg at Golden Triangle Self Storage is awesome! I went to GTSS in 2018 after a family member passed, and was met with grace & kindness. I was given a fair price for a unit. The facility has perfect communication in regards to changes in hours, COVID regulations, etc. GTSS is clean, quiet and safe. Greg saw me on my way out after 2 years was equally as wonderful as when he assisted me from the start. If I ever need a storage unit in the future, I will most definitely be back. Thank you! read more

my mother was a customer here for years so when I made my first move after college I came here to store all the extra stuff my extended family gave me for my first apartment. The reason why we decided to go with Golden Triangle Storage because of Greg, the manager. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Great customer service and great company. 5 stars! read more

I wish I could rate higher than 5 stars. I needed a place to temporarily store my stuff as I went between permanent places. Greg and Michael were great from the first day to the last. Their office was always a welcomed relief from the heat! I cannot say they will do this for you, but this happened to me: the day I was going to check out was the same day that my monthly auto-payment came out. The guy was like really sad that I had just paid for an entire month that I was not going to be using. I left the office to go to meet my stuff at my new home feeling a renewed sense of humanity--this guy showed genuine empathy. I had decided to give a great review, even when I thought I wasn't going to be getting any refund, because Greg truly felt bad. Lo and behold when I went back to check out of my place 1) they had already done the walk through of my unit and all I had to do was sign some ppwk; and 2) Greg was like, there's no way I can handle charging you the entire month when you're leaving today--I can't refund (some part of the bill I don't remember what he called it), but I can prorate the rent portion and you can expect a check in 2-3 weeks. He said: "it's the right thing to do." Huh? What? Ok! Wow! Knowing the right thing to do AND doing it will set you miles apart from your competitors in whatever you are doing (except maybe politics). Kudos for the folks at Golden Triangle Self Storage. You know how to service your customers. 10/10 would recommend. klw read more

An additional update, I am once again blown away by the exceptional customer service at this facility (and just in general). I had to perform another transaction at this site and Greg outdid himself again! He is the BEST in every way and it reflects in the way this site is operating. Every safety precaution from COVID safety measures to general site safety (ensuring nobody comes on the property who is not supposed to be there) is in place. It is very clean but I cannot get over how much he genuinely cares about the customers. At the time he was also training a new employee named Denise aka DARLING Denise is her new name in my book and the apple did not fall far from the tree (Greg her trainer) because she additional checked on me while I was doing a huge relocation of items and her and Greg again went above and beyond to help me. Greg and Denise, please know I am sending something special your way soon but nothing I could send your way comes close to you PRICELESS jewels. Thank you again for exceptional, outstanding, amazing and well the best customer service ever! You guys are the best and thanks to Ashley for reminder calls and assisted me w/some final paperwork for my transaction. Thanks Team GTSS read more

Golden Triangle Self Storage - Waiting to get signed on! Thanks Michael for staying late to help! - Self Storage Near Me - San Diego, California

Exceptional Customer Service!!! They were my savior. My cell phone had died, so I did NOT (gasp, gasp) have GPS and I had to drive in an area of San Diego I didn't know well. I took a slightly wrong exit, and made it over to here to get directions since there was no gas station nearby and I didn't want to drive miles and miles out of the way only to get even more lost. Alex and Greg were super helpful, above and beyond. This is what defines a Good Neighbor and terrific Customer Service. I rented Self Storage for years. THIS is the place you want to give your business to because they will, sure, safeguard your belongings PLUS go OUT OF THEIR WAY to be truly helpful in ways you might not even think of til they just do it. Be prepared to be amazed. They gave me directions. Even generously printed them out for me. Turned out I was merely minutes from my destination. Greg - Mr Over Delivery Always - said, if I couldn't find it that I should return and he would escort me. I seriously hope the win SDBestPoll.com's Best Self Storage. Richly deserved!!! read more
