New management SUCKS. Had a mailbox for 10 yrs, rates increased to $336 a yr, $60 fee for accepting packages and $1 per day late fee! What a joke/nightmare. read more

I have used this virtual mailbox for years with great appreciation. Thank you for keeping the excellent service read more

It's great to know that my mail and packages will never be stolen off my steps by a thief. That's the reason why, more than five years ago, I signed onto Beach mailbox to accept my mail and all packages. And they've done a great job. I've never had a single negative issue. read more

Had adequate and quick service provided to me. The worker was so sweet and helped me resolve my shipping issues I had. Highly recommend coming here, the service is definitely worth it read more

This business is great! Because of moving I've had 2 other mailbox services in the last 5 years. Previous mailbox services only provided a mailbox and you had to find your packages from among many others in a stack. My last mailbox service lost my packages, and one cost over $100. Beach Mailbox is different. They have software that intakes packages and tags them with your mailbox number, then a ticket is put in your mailbox, and you hand it to the desk clerk to retrieve your packages. No chance they can get lost or stolen! Then the service sends you an email, so you don't go to the mailbox unnecessarily. Beach Mailbox is the best service I have used. It is clean and professionally operated. Highly recommended! read more

I've lived in Mission Beach for 5 years and this is my go-to post office. I also own a small business and this is where I send out all packages related to the business too. The staff here is amazing! When I walk in, it feels like I'm with family. They always go above and beyond to help find the best price for sending packages for me. They also have helped me in the past where I've needed to get documents notarized. This is a small business that I love supporting. There are amazing gifts and trinkets that are local and handmade which make great gifts to send out to friends and family. One time I brought a gift to send to my parents and I forgot to wrap it so they happily took care of it; wrapped it, packed it and shipped it. This place is awesome and I love supporting them as they support me and my business too. read more

I really love Beach mailbox. They are so prompt with everything and extremely helpful. I've used other virtual mailboxes and have had a lot of problems, but have never experienced 1 problem with them. They are prompt, courteous and competitively priced. Mansi read more

I love Beach mailbox! Their customer service is top notch and they are always so very helpful. We have been using them for 5 years and every experience is always amazing. If you are ever in need of their services, I highly recommend them. read more

Sema is awesome, I met her years ago when my daughter passed away she wiped my tears from my face as I prepared paperwork to fax to withdraw funds from my retirement to bury my daughter. She is a top-notch and professional woman as well as very appealing to talk to and she thrives on taking care of her customers read more

it feels a little silly writing a review for a mailbox store, something that is pretty transnational....but this is such a quirky, cute one stop shop little mailbox store. The staff have always been helpful in figuring out the logistics of how to ship my packages to their final destination in a timely manner. As silly as it may seem, I think my favorite part about this shop are the different printed envelopes and boxes they have. Who doesn't love sending a package with a little extra flair (generally at no additional cost in comparison to the plain versions). You'll be well taken care of. Nothing like supporting another local Pacific Beach business! Parking can be a little tricky, but should not be a deterrent from using them. read more

I was in the store at the same time as Critic Z. (who left a 1 star review). I was behind him, waiting to ship a package. I waited as he dealt with them (which, his review is actually quite untrue. He was the agressor and in the wrong, not the staff). I then gave them my package, expecting to pay about $15 to ship it fedex to AZ. They informed me that I could use the US Mail instead for about $8 and it would be there in the same time frame. Bingo. So, they took care of me, were very nice, dealt with an aggressive customer before me (Reviewer: Critic Z.), and still saved me $7 with a smile. read more

Whenever I have something to ship I come here, never a ling lune, quick service, with that neighborhood vibe. I recently had a box that wouldn't ship bc of the packaging so she took her time and wrapped it for me. We found the cheapest shipping available and she didn't overcharge me for anything! They recently got new inventory. They have cute gifts and cards now to ship with your packages if u need a last min gift! I recommend going here over the post office any day! read more

I have used Beach Mailbox several times and am so happy every time I'm there. First, they get you in and out quickly. Second, they are always so friendly and third, they give you many options to try to save you money. No need to go anywhere else. read more

I have had a box at Beach Mailbox for over 5 years and have been very happy with the service there. Kay has moved on by Sema seems very competent and friendly. All my shipping needs have been handled expertly. The only negatives are limited parking and the occasional line. I highly recommend this storefront. read more

I had my return label and they said I had to go the manufactures website to reprint a return label. IT CLEARLY STATED ON THE RETURN LABEL if you need to reprint the return label to go to the website!! Incompetent!!! Just go to a regular ups/post office/ fedex drop off. You'll save yourself time and headaches. read more

Beach Mailbox - They refused to send my package because they said I had to go to qvc.com to print off a return label...incompetent, go elsewhere - Shipping Centers Near Me - San Diego, California

This is a great local shipping location. Kay is a great person to work with and is an excellent resource for shipping. If you live locally it's a great place to go and you can get all of your needs addressed. Computers are available for printing, emailing, etc. She is experienced with Ebay and Amazon order also. read more

Very helpful and friendly staff. Cute gifts and good mail service.

I want to thank BEACH MAILBOX and GIFTS because I needed package delivered ASAP. And they were able to make it happen. Thank you, specially to the lady at the front Bianca for being the most professional and courteous. She is the reason I will definitely come back always ...... I love this place read more

As a small business owner, I don't know what I would do without Rita and Sema at Beach Mailbox! I seriously can't believe I ever ran my business without their help. I have had a mailbox there for years, where I can have all of my mail and packages sent. Rita and Sema have gone above and beyond to help me in anyway possible, receiving and holding my packages, and reshipping some packages back out when needed. They are both extremely friendly and professional, and I like supporting local small businesses whenever I can. You can't go wrong with Beach Mailbox! Highly recommend! read more

I have been coming to Beach Mailbox & Gifts for years. It's super convenient and the service is top notch. They have handled everything from notary services, packing, overnight delivery, and just simple things like FedEx & UPS drop off for me without any issues whatsoever. I even bought a bracelet for my wife from here. I would highly recommend everyone to use their services. The store is also really quaint and the two woman who own/run the shop are wonderful to work with. They take the time to learn your name and give you that small hometown feel of service. I will most certainly continue to use their services. read more

This place is the best! You will not find a better mailbox store in San Diego! Great people! Excellent service!

I came in here to ship a couple things and pick up some moving supplies the other day. The woman behind the counter was SO friendly and SO helpful. What a change from the usual post office visit. I would absolutely use this place again and again. read more

The entire team at Beach Mailbox is terrific! They are very helpful and get you in and out in no time. Much better than waiting in long lines at the post office. I recommend Beach Mailbox for all of your packing and shipping needs! read more

Not only does Beach Mailbox have the lowest prices, they offer free tracking, will pack and ship items for you, and never have a line longer than 1-2 people ( in my experiences). All this is done by Sima, a positively attractive woman who is happy to help, and she lets you have a cookie! If that is not enough for you to call this your favorite shipping center, I don't know what to tell you. Oh yeah, and they do money orders now, too.! read more

I have been a customer of Beach Mailbox for a year and felt it time to write a review! We own several businesses and use their services for mail, shipping, etc. I love that they are very personable and attentive to our needs. Sema has greeted my partner and I by name since the beginning of our contract. If there is a long line and we quickly pop in to pick up a package she will grab the package for us without putting the other customers out. (She is a great multi-tasker!!!) Also, we moved to Ocean Beach and we don't always want to drive back to PB to see if we have mail.. What's great about Beach Mailbox is that they will send us an e-mail when we have mail or a package!! It saves me gas and time! I have even asked Sema for specifics about certain mail that came in and she took the time to get me the information. We highly recommend Beach Mailbox! read more

I have been with Beach Mailbox since they opened. They always go above and beyond the call of duty for me. I would recommend them anytime to anyone. They even are courteous and friendly during the x-mas rush. read more

We have used Beach Mailbox and gifts as our mailing address for over 10 years and when we moved onto our sailboat permanently 6 years ago, Beach Mailbox and Gifts became our only address. About 3 years ago, they acquired their Virtual Mailbox capability. This has given us the freedom to go cruising in our boat without worrying about mail. And Rita and Sema have made it possible for us to receive our mail via scan as soon as it arrives. We can then direct them to shred it, trash it, or send it to any location of our choice. And they have done such a fantastic job of it that we now feel confident to begin our cruising life knowing that we'll never miss any important mail. read more

This is one of the few businesses in Pacific Beach that has an owner and a manager that really really cares. I've been a customer for over four years and every kind of service was done in a professional and cheerful manner. The place is clean and the cookies are great. Give them a shot, you will be glad you did read more

LOVE THIS PLACE! I mail a lot of packages, and it's so much easier with all of my information/address and the addresses of everyone I've shipped to in the computer. Moreover, Kay knows the type of packaging to recommend to keep shipping economical. I feel like she really has the customer's best interest versus how to just make an extra buck. I have tried a few other places...before I found Beach Mailbox, when I've had a coupon or when I show up after hours. I am never even close to satisfied. I have VERY high expectations now. :) read more

This place is amazing. We were supposed to be leaving for our honeymoon on Memorial Day and realized we needed our signatures notarized to receive copies of the marriage certificate! It was an emergency as we were supposed to leave right then when we realized (definitely our faults for not checking!!). We were frantically calling notaries and quickly found that everyone was closed. Rita was a lifesaver and answered. She said she was closed but since she was there and it was an emergency she would accommodate us. She was so sweet and made copies of all of our documents for us and even mailed it out for us. She is a full service place and she is so nice. We definitely recommend this place and can't thank her enough for saving the day!! Thank you Rita!!!! read more

I love this place! The staff is great! I don't check my po box often but whenever I get a package they send me a nice emailing informing me. I have forgotten to pick up packages for weeks and they are so nice to remind me and hold it for me. I was also able to renew my service for a year all through email. I highly recommend this spot if you are looking for a po box. Very close and convenient location near the beach, grocery stores, and restaurants. read more

Always great service and a little gem of a place.... You never have to wait in line like the post office and they offer all the same services (minus the attitude you get from post office counter workers). Also there's always free cookies on the counter and they store your addresses for you so if you send once you can just tell them the name and they can look up the address for you :) I love this place and come here for all my shipping needs! read more

Kay has always been nice to me. She is always in a good mood. She sends emails when I receive mail and packages. She's helped me out a lot. This is an affordable place to ship packages; Much better then waiting in line at the post office and dealing with the grumpy postmen. read more

So my client moved to the East Coast and asked me to hold on to some artwork until she got settled in. A few months later she was settled in her new place, looking at blank walls, and missing her art....so she reached out and said......."It's time, please send the pieces to me." So, I packaged them up and started researching shipping/mailing options. The major companies all have storefronts, and they told me the price would vary depending on several variables, so I mapped out how to shlep these packages to 3 different places so I could get quotes from all and pick the best carrier. Then, I noticed a listing for a storefront named "Beach Mailbox" on Grand in PB and, they were a one-stop-shop.....so I went there first! Beach Mailbox had all sorts of shipping supplies (boxes, tape, etc...).......and this is the best part...........they weighed and measured my packages, and gave me prices and options from 4 different shipping companies. They have contracts with all of them so, in a matter of minutes, I was able to get the best price, add insurance and signage options, and be done with the entire process. An additional bonus is that Beach Mail Box auto-emailed me a receipt and tracking number, and emailed me a second time when the package was delivered and signed for at its destination. I am never going anywhere else again....this is my new and 4ever shipping location......it was so professional yet friendly....and an added bonus is that it is independently owned, and supporting small local businesses is a very good thing!! read more

Unbelievable customer service! I dropped off a couple of pre-paid Amazon returns today, which I was grateful they even accepted. Turns out I forgot to put the new return label on one of them and Rita went out of her way to email me and let me know. She also offered to re-label it for me if I just forwarded it to her. Seriously, all of this for a pre-paid shipping item. I can't believe it! read more

Great advice and fun store! i live in Charlotte NC and found this store to be very helpful for shipping needs. srm

This place is the only place I go to ship, mail, send. Everything. The new owner is very nice and helpful. And the woman Sema that is always behind the counter is great, friendly, and treats you so well. I don't go anywhere. Their prices seem great. But even if I found out it was a little more expensive I would still go here over somewhere else. Make this your new shipping center. I assure you you will not be disappointed. read more

My hubby and I live across the street and had so many problems receiving our mail and packages at home. We even opened a PO Box at the local post office and it was a nightmare - long lines, had packages stolen, not friendly, etc. We got our PMB here over a year ago and it was the best decision! Rita and Sema are SO nice, and we love the extra perks they offer like emailing when a package arrives. Highly recommend getting a private mailbox here, mailing packages , notary and also picking up something in their cute store! read more
